hello everyone.... what a long weekend.... worked my 12 hour shifts saturday and sunday so didnt get my exercise in.... monday i ran a local 5k.... thought i was doing horrible cause it was tiring me out so much and then really disappointed when I crossed the line at 36.54 ( my best is 31.21) only to find out later they misplaced a cone and the track was actually somewhere between 3.7 and 3.9 miles no one knows for sure..... no wonder it felt so long...
after that I got my flower bed all planted over 200 annuals in it... love it.... now waiting for hubby to dig up another part so I cant get started on that...
today i got my workout in at the gym but when I tried to run my c25k I just couldnt get the feel for it and ended up walking more of it than I wanted to.... will try it again after work tomorrow...
this morning I weighed in at 145.8 so back down a little ...

Good morning, or afternoon!
Every day is a new chance to practice, right?
I have been doing very well on my Paleo lifestyle. No carb flu this time at all. I am finding sugar the hardest thing on earth to get out of my diet though. It's in EVERYTHING!
I will keep reading labels until my eyes give out. They sure have a hard time reading tiny print. One thing I know is if it looks like a LOT of words, I don't need it.

70 lbs. done!
I ate badly on Sunday, but made up for it yesterday. I ran 8 miles and went horseback riding for about 1 1/2 hours. I'm a bit tired today, but it's a good tired.
I walked for 30 minutes this morning to get the energy out of the dog and I'm hoping to get a short run in later tonight.
I think I'm in a healthy place right now so working on keeping to a good weight range. Would like to lose a bit more, but suspect when I do I will creep up to mid 120's again. It seems to be where my body has been comfortable in the past. I've been as low as about 97 pounds and though doctor said too low, I still saw fat. That was a long time ago. I think I'm finally able to appreciate my body and what it can do. Food has become less of a distraction and more a fuel. Though I still enjoy eating unhealthy things now and then, I find I only want a few bites rather than wolfing down the whole thing. SP has been a great support on this journey.
Cardio, core, Coach Nicole's Turkey Burner workout, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching. Yesterday an afternoon walk.
Today is a rest day. Had a nice long jog yesterday with my buddy. Looking forward to going for a short one tomorrow. Enjoying watching my son and his buddy play.

Toni, you are not alone in repenting for salt indulgence. We had breakfast and dinner out last night (skipped lunch) and the result is a 2 1/2 lb weight gain! Planning to drink lots of water today. I had a hard time getting to bed last night again. I wonder if it is due to the longer days. I went clothes shopping yesterday. I'm trying to put together my vacation wardrobe. One blouse that I'd seen on line and would have ordered in an 8 turned out to be plenty big enough in a 6. The clerk admitted that their (Ann Taylor) sizes can be "generous". On to work!
Morning everyone! Really wishing I didn't have to go back to work today. =\ At least it will be a pretty easy week for me. Gotta go do a quick HIIT routine and eat breakfast (and most importantly, coffee!) before I run out the door. Have a great day all!
Morning everyone - survived the long weekend, but not well. Glad it's over and I can get, and hopefully stay, on track. Worked till 10:30 last night and then spent some time comforting a dear friend who just found out that her mom has Huntington's disease and she has a 50/50 chance of having it so will be going in for testing this Thursday - along with moving with her husband in to her parents house in order to help care for them. Tired this morning, but getting ready to head out the door for work. Need to get a run in tonight, but may have storms. Have meals packed and ready at least. Everyone have a marvelous day!

Had a healthy and active and fun weekend although I do admit to forgetting my fitbit part of the time. We went to the safari park and I was afraid one of the goats in the patting zoo might mistaken it for a snack.
So today Gardening, walking and yoga. Time for some formal exercise.

Ha, ha, Bess, I know what you mean about haggling over car prices. I truly hate it, so I end up going through a car-buying service. Fortunately it happens rarely, because DH and I tend to keep our cars for a looooong time. My current car is a 2001 Ford Taurus wagon. It's my third station wagon (1980-something Surbaru, followed by a 1991 Taurus wagon), and no one except maybe Volvo still makes wagons, so I'm in no hurry to get rid of my car.
Very hard to get up this morning. I really need more sleep, so I set an intention this morning of being in bed by 8:30, lights out by 9:00. Hoping life doesn't get in the way.

Good Morning everyone. I think I accidentally logged off before my check in post registered so here I will try again.
I took a long walk through the woods yesterday with Himself and the dogs. I haven't been in that part of the forest since early March. There was still a little of the spring rain pooled in places and Callie, our 10 month old lab pup (the one who broke her leg in mid-March - which is why I haven't been over there) went crazy, splashing through the puddles. We've had lots of labradors over the years but we've never had one that loved water as much as she does.
It's a good long hike - walking through that part of the woods, but I still didn't get enough "exercise points" in to reach my daily goal. In fact - this vacation thing is really encroaching on my healthy living choices. Well - one way or another I'm getting to the gym today.
Of course Himself wants me to play all day with him - and he wants me to go along with him to look for a new car. I HATE to watch that process because he's SUCH a bargainer I have to sometimes walk away for fear of laughing at him. Riding around from car lot to car lot is fun but I just don't have it in me to keep a straight face while he does his thing. Besides - I really just want my new car to boom in my front drive, not have to be researched and hunted for and bargained for.
There ought to be a New Car tree .
Hope you all have a super day and if you find out where the elusive New Car Tree is, please let me know.
Good morning. I did a 10k walk yesterday and Sunday. Yesterday I also walked to our town's street fair. So I was fairly active and in range with calories; but I am up. My hamstrings feel like that go a real workout; So I am wondering if this is fluid shifting.
I need to drink my water and try to go to bed early.
Have a good day.

Back to reality today. I got some good runs and ST in this weekend. Need a rest day today except for walking breaks at work. I registered for a 5K for this upcoming Saturday to benefit a local zoo. Hopefully the rain predicted will hold off until after the race!

Good morning, team. I hope everyone traveling got home safely from the holiday weekend.
Salty meal last night and need to get on track today. Ugh. But I know what to do, don't I? No excuses, here comes Tuesday!

Good Monday morning!
Wow did I sleep well! 8 hrs. Yesterday morning DH, DD and I ran 3.5 mi with granddaughter in the stroller during a 4 hr sunshine window. It poured for about 5 hrs and made it hard to pack up to leave. The river level is rising again and we will probably be making alternative plans the next couple of weeks. :((
Headed to the gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min Pilates class.
Still 2 lbs over goal but determined.
Hope all have a great day!!!
