Checking in a bit late today. Have finally got a "day off" kind of. Not tons of stuff planned except for lighting practice tonight and getting chores done. Several loads of laundry...bed linens...cooking a couple of meals.....switching our winter/summer clothes and was going to do the mowing, but still too wet, but will try to get my sis's pool cleaner working. Purchased a book I had been wanting (a devotional for runners) for the Kindle app today - and it was ON SALE! Guess it was meant to be. Scale still a little up from mid range, but I know that it will come back down. Would like to find time today for a run, but if not, got plentry of strength training work that I can do between chores and will be plenty busy, so not much danger of overdoing it on the food today. Certain I will see the scale drop back down in the next day or two.

I lost some of the puffiness, so my weight is down this morning. Vacation time is sneaking up on me...just a bit over two weeks. I'm starting to think about using up the perishables. I made a great broccoli beef for dinner last night. On the subject of snacking, I tend not to snack much, I just eat big meals, but I'm thinking of making space for a sweet in my daily diet. Last night it was strawberries!

Sunny and cool here in central wisconsin but at least its stopped raining. Busy today with tutoring, scouts and getting ready for the weekend of fishing and relaxing. Hope everyone will enjoy the weekend off but remember the reason for the holiday. This will be the first time in a long time that I haven't helped put flags on the soldiers grave or walk in the parade. But a invite to go to a friends cabin is just to good to turn down. Hope to get a bike ride in later this morning, and a walk tonight.

It's finally dried up here enough to get some outdoor exercise in, so afternoon hike with DD in tow and Yoga home practice. Looking forward to the weekend when the whole family can get outside and have a little fun.

I got hit on the way home from work yesterday, the guy cut his left too tight and was looking the opposite way. My front end is a mess but everyone is okay so that's a good thing. He was very apologetic and admitted fault right away. I couldn't get mad at him. Life is messy sometimes.
Hopefully I'll get my run in tonight since I didn't last night.

My vacation begins today at 3:30, when I leave the office early and head to the gym for an unusual afternoon session with W the Personal Trainer. I had hoped to do a max-out session but my back has been giving me trouble for several days now. I can do a lot to cope with my creaky spine but I am a little afraid to push it to the limit. That doesn't mean I'll skip the session - I know the best thing I can do for my back is to keep all the muscles around it strong. I just don't want to work to the point of failure today.
Happily, the PT is fully aware of my special needs and deeply creative with his suggestions. and after that? Whoopee! days and days of home time.
Had our favorite tofu stir-fry last night - imagine craving tofu. Put us both in the best mood.

I am doing better. I am bumping up my exercise to try to get those last pounds off that I regained. I am losing but I gain so quickly and lose so slowly. So I had a new zumba toning class last night and got over 60 minutes on my treadmill.
Today I did an exercise bike for 35 minutes before work, have a zumba class later tonight and want to get another 30 minutes on the treadmill tonight.

Getting back into things after a nasty tummy bug. it has taken me About Ten days to get over! I'm looking forward to getting my activity level back and also experimenting with taking milk out of my diet, I've only eaten milk since i got pregnat and I'm sure i felt a lot better without it. Its weird going back to soy after two years though. Hope one is having a good day :-)
Good morning! Thursday's usual long walk with dogs and fitness buddy will be substituted with a run with DH followed by short walk with DH and dogs as my buddy is out of town. DH and I bought new running shoes last night so hope we both feel a good difference.
Unique concept--tracking all day to see if there are calories left to have a snack instead of snacking and then cringing as you step on the scale the next morning (lol). I ate way too many handfuls of almonds and dried cranberries. I need to lose the mentality that I deserve a food reward for the extra running I'm doing !
