Prayers for all the people in Moore, OK. My cousins live there and all is ok with them, their homes and their pets. There is lots of distruction and kids are stuck in their elementary school.

Hi All, I started the Spark Solution and I cooked bacon this morning. I made a scrambled egg with spinach, bacon and cheese. I had half an orange, one slice of wheat bread and coffee. I had a turkey and cheese sandwich for lunch with flavored water. I also had celery with peanut butter. I Think I am eating too much. I have to make chicken with rice and beans. I am tired. I walked the dog twice for 90 minutes. It was so hot I was sweating. Linda from bean town

Good Morning everyone. Celiaminer - a big congratulations to you on your 1 year anniversary at goal. Nicky - what a colorful description of buying clothes - from the Gypsies. Wow. Xraylady - I figure each "point" I earn on my active link is worth 50 calories - and I got that info off of Wikipedia. It may not be exact but it's a close enough approximation.
and it's a good thing I got all those points in on Saturday - yesterday I earned zero. Drove to the city early to get to a cousin's first communion service - which lasted for 2 hours. Then a party afterwords - and a swing by the cemetery to see Daddy's grave. By the time I got home it was 8 o'clock and I was wiped out. And it was raining. So it was just a long loving day with family, memories and party food.
And now it's Monday all over again. Good news? A vacation is drawing near. A stay home vacation. My favorite kind.

I've gotten into a 5am wakeup and do yoga routine it seems, but it helps with body pain and it's better than tossing and turning trying to get back to sleep.

Maree and Venisew1, wonderful you could run with your hubbies! Mine rarely runs because he says his hips hurt. I don't bug him about it, because I don't run much either with arthritic knees. But we can walk together for many miles.

Took a rest day yesterday and just Sparked and did chores around the house. DH was in a big chores mood (vacuumed all the rugs, changed the cat's litter boxes, hung the porch shades...which necessitated a trip to the hardware store to replace his kaput cordless drill), so I felt a little guilty for sitting at the computer so long, but it was my one-year maintenance Sparkversary, and I wanted to blog about it. Anyway, I did do the laundry, declutter a new space to add to my "dailies," and cook dinner (Dinner Done turkey quinoa meat loaf...YUM...along with fresh corn on the cob, peas, and a salad).

Woke up this morning with Yoga on the Brain, so That's what I did, right after feeding the outdoor cat (she's a stray that's adopted us). Yesterday DH and I completed the weeks yard work, as we expect rain for a large portion of the week. So today It's Cardio and ST along with chores.

Happy Monday all! It is wrong that I am already excited about this coming weekend? haha I get very few paid holidays at my work, but Memorial Day is one of them. Work is probably going to be rocky this week, but I had a very rejuvenating weekend, and am buckled in and ready for whatever gets thrown at me!

Good morning fellow early birds! Doing the "Happy Dance" this morning! Even though Spark had my goal weight set at 147 when I joined, I adjusted my goal down to "any number under 140", which I had hit and maintained for over a year until sidelined by an injury and then life in general. I have been struggling to return to that point and have actually been working my way slowly down through my "goal weight range" for some weeks now, but YEAH today, the scale read 139.4 - now, althiugh technically 139 is the center of my goal weight range....139.4 IS a number under 140, so today is "V" day - VICTORY day!!! Still want to lose a couple more to get to the lower end of my range and get a bit more muscle definition back, but it is going to be pretty hard to ruin today.
Speaking of Victories - Maree, CONGRATULATIONS on your run with your DH - how exciting is that?!? This certainly IS one high acheiving team - so glad I found you all - I'm beginning to understand that is one of the biggest "secrets" to maintenance. It is establishing priorities and goals and then going after them with GUSTO. Thanks to everyone for helping me get there - and stay there!

Good Morning. I had a little trouble getting up, so only got 30 minutes on my bike instead of 40. I have zumba tonight, and will try to get a few minutes on the treadmill after work. At zumba last night the instructor had someone else do a zumba toning class. My arms are crying today, because I used the 2.5 lb weights instead of buying the 1 lb weights.
My goal for today is to limit carbs and stay under the top of my range. Have a sparked day. Lynn

I had a great weekend! The Kenny Chesney concert was really fun, he puts on quite a show. I'm still recovering from dancing in heels all evening! I'm not as young as I used to be.
The scale shows how much fun I had. :-) but that's okay. I'll work that off.
It's going to be a stressful week. I'm on call until next Monday morning plus my regular work to get done. At least it will make the week go quickly.... Hopefully!

Good morning, team. It was fun to catch up with the posts this morning and to hear about the food and exercise ahead in everyone's plans. I was on an 8 hour drive yesterday, but ate pretty well and am now glad to be home with time to work out too.
My son's home from college for the summer. Excited to catch up with him after he sleeps for a few days. LOL!
Congrats to Celia for her one year Maintenance Anniversary! Her success is inspiring.

Good morning Maree. You are up bright and early! I have spent 30 mins in the garden and plan to get back to Bodysculpting DVD today after three weeks off sick. I hkope I can meet my very modest calories burned goal this week. Yesterday I had a big cook up, spinach, mushrooms and jerusalem artichoke leaves, which are very tasty and full of protein and vitamins etc, for quiche for breakfast, and with farfalle. Leaves are rather sparse, as my sister was staying with me and picked lots for our breakfast quiches. She lost a kilo without limiting her eating and took lots of SP recipes home. She sent me some protein powder with another friend, so last night I also made proper protein PB choc bars, but only ate some crumbs as I had eaten a large chocolate and was not hungry. SP has really changed both my appetite and my taste AND taught me to love exercise, in small and gentle doses! Today I plan to make some chef Meg breakfast sausage and some sort of slow cooker chicken dish. Spinach dishes twice a day would begin to lose their attraction. We had been eating spinach flan almost daily for the last three weeks! My sister has wheat intolerance, so I did not use bread in cooking, but now I can return to Chef Megs better breakfast casserole...

Good morning, went for a great run yesterday thanks to my dh who encouraged me to do 6 miles with him. Normally I struggle to do 4.

Been out of town for a bit, and I have company for 2 weeks. Going to be a bit difficult to work in my workouts, but I have a plan.
It's going to get close to 90 today, so getting ready for an early a.m. run. Then home for breakfast and taking my granddaughter to the Dr., she's developed a fever and a rash overnight. They are visiting from TN, and her Dr. said to get her seen here - most likely she has strep, which keeps recurring.
Got 5 rows planted in my garden yesterday. I'm hoping to get some more planted today.

Mark your calendars! Yesterday DH went with me on a 3 mi run! I was getting ready after church (another great sermon by our new pastor!), and it started as a joke. We interspersed walks but I was very proud of him.
Today I'm headed to the gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min ST class. Nutrition is a pure protein day. Busy day at work and home to prepare for upcoming holiday.
