I am into my 2nd month of maintenance and doing well! Have a heavy workload right now and woke up with a bit of a sore throat having been healthy most of the winter!! Know I have been burning the midnight oil so need to take care of myself.
Vinyassa Flow Yoga starts tomorrow replacing my 10 week detox yoga class. Hope I like it as much as the detox class. It's a rise and shine session so it's time for bed!!

Had a great PT session and worked on my Pose Running. I'm so excited about this. Can't wait to experiment tonight with my Dunedin Run Group! My times just get better!

As my status screams, today I'm celebrating my 2 year anniversary in maintenance! On May 25, I will turn 63 and I feel more alive than I have in decades! Every day I just get stronger and more determined to become better physically, mentally, and spiritually! I make no excuses because there are none! I made myself the priority so I can be there for my Wife & Granddaughter! I found that when you are fully committed to a healthy lifestyle, there is no longer a struggle! I totally get it. I wish this for everyone!

Good morning!
Got my one mile walk in before work again--planning for another at lunch--weight is right on target, so no food tracking again today. (of course I eat basically the same thing everyday anyway:)

My birthday celebrations started a week ago. This was due to family commitments. I feel I have celebrated enough now. I like my healthy eating and exercise routine. I was glad to get back to it today. I am drinking a lot to water today as I felt I needed that. I am getting extra steps in too a I have to keep visiting the bathroom! I will keep trying Failure is not an option . Irene emoticon

Hi fellow maintainers..

I am so happy to be getting back into routine after being away. Travelling with fibromyalgia is difficult and it takes a few days for the sore body to settle down. I was up at 5am, so did 75 minutes of yoga and that really helps.

Today is grocery shopping and back to the stationary bike..

Have a great day folks..

No screeching cats here...they were just tearing through packing paper and boxes left in the living room to make a commotion! When it was time for the alarm to go off they were ready to let me sleep. I really look forward to Saturday...only day this week when I won't have to get up on a time schedule. Tonight I'm singing in the choir for the synod assembly, so that's going to take my afternoon and evening, with a buffet dinner besides. That leaves my husband in charge of getting the house in order for the cleaners on Friday. I have to tell myself, "Whatever he gets done is enough." My weight is down this morning even though I feel bloated and huge. I was low enough on calories yesterday that I "had to" have a snack at bedtime for my pills to land on in order to make my minimums. Probably not going to happen today! Time for work.

Morning everyone! Pretty rough week for my nutrition goals this week. I went back and did an honest assessment of my nutrition tracking, and concluded I actually underate two days this week. I'm feeling a bit depressed this week, so it is hard to work up the energy to do my tracking accurately, or to notice whether or not I am feeling hungry. I know that not eating enough is affecting my mood, though, which is why I need to track accurately more than ever. I believe I calculated today's more accurately, so hopefully today will be a little better than yesterday.

Time to go do some HIIT and eat breakfast. Have a great day all!

Godd morniing fellow early birds. Short night last night and early morning thanks to my loving black lab. She wanted out at 11:30 last night and then at 5am this morning. Lots of errands and meetings today so not sure what kind of exercise will happen today. I know i'll get into the garden and do a lot of watering which means carring water so that will help. Spring has finally arrived and i actually turned the heat off in the house this morning. Hopefully it'll stay off now till fall. Have a great one everyone I love starting my morning with sparks.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Happy Thursday!

I had a great 4-mile run yesterday in addition to two 15-min walks. I was too pooped after the run for ST so I'll get to that tonight.

I resisted the vending machine yesterday. SCORE! I was having a VERY stressful moment on top of TOM. I had to keep telling myself hitting the junk food will not fix what's happening and I'll just be mad at myself.

Gearing up to power strong into the weekend! Wishing everyone a positive day!

Good morning all my fellow early birds!!! I, too, really look forward to seeing your check ins in the morning and gain such energy for my day knowing that I am not alone on this day to day battle to keep on program. I had planned on going to "Hills and Drills" class after work and then a meeting with a friend from church, but turns out that the meeting ran late as they are wanting to discuss me leading a small women's group this fall. Ran late and couldn't make the class, so got home, did a little stretching out from the recovery run yesterday and will pick up the H&D homework and do that when I get home this evening. Have runs planned for Friday PM and then Sunday AM. Yesterday, I did okay nutritionally. Was doing pretty well until I got home and even after eating my healthy meal, got tempted into some leftover pizza at the insistence of my sis. At least I restrained myself to some extent and had only a half piece and there wasn't really any movement on the scale and I wasn't too far over in cals for the day. Really need to work on that night time eating.

Hope you are all enjoying the lovely spring weather before the dog days of summer are upon us! Have a marvelous day!

Great to check in this morning. Looking forward to work today, a hit-the-elliptical workout, and then back to traveling. This time am headed for Massachusetts (road trip!) for a baby shower for daughter-in-law and newest grandchild (son) due to arrive in June. Traveling with my daughter in a car. She has two kids and we have a hard time getting time together (busy!). So 8 hours in a car will rock! (Kids are staying with my husband and he can't wait.)

Enjoy your people and your day, team!

Hallooo Maree - I am ALWAYS so happy when I see you've started this thread. It's like an extra sip of morning coffee.

I'm sorry you haven't had enough sleep - tell that cat that when it's dark it's quiet time. LOL. try herding it too. emoticon Hope work gets easier and more pleasant.

My schedule is all topsy turvy today - teaching a class tonight so I go in late this morning. Meeting a girlfriend for lunch first. I won't go into the gym at all - and had to cancel the planned strength training with the PT. we were going to do another Max Out workout but that will have to be next week. I will get in 2 good walks - one this morning with the puppy. I leave Jack-the-Dog home on this walk because I'm trying to forge a bond with the little girl pup - she's so focused on Himself she doesn't pay enough attention to me.

Love this warm weather now but just you wait - I bet I'll be complaining about it in a few weeks. LOL. Happy Thursday everybody.

Good morning. I woke up at 1:00 am to the cat screeching and then couldn't get back to sleep, probably because it's hot in here. We haven't turned on the air conditioner yet. I may have to do that if this heat spell keeps up.

Today my fitness agenda includes a long walk with fitness buddy and, for part of the way, my two dogs. Huckleberry (the black lab) is 10 yrs old, 111 lbs, so vet showed us chart that it's like being an 80 yr old. Heat is hard on him, too. We walk from the gym to my house and drop him off; we used to take him the full 5 mi. I don't take any day with him for granted as I know our time is limited. He's been an exceptional dog; hard to think of life without him.

I have been at war with the scale, don't want to get on it. I'm hoping that less stress at work will help with weight management efforts. sigh...

Hope everyone has a great day!
