Long days for me but nice to read about everyone's successes. Started the day with a rise and shine yoga class and then fit in a walk enroute to work projects in mid morning and did dome gardening later in the day. Have a pile of work projects that are putting me in a little overwhelm but am managing to stay within my nutrition range and keep up the fitness so all is well. Thanks for all your sharing everyone!

Late check in. Full staff at work today, but I was still in overdrive mode from when we were short yesterday. Had a big untrackable meal out tonight with my sister-in-laws. We really enjoy getting together by ourselves.

Great day, great weather, but slightly lazy me. Not enough sleep = low energy, low motivation. Light activity, but did my weights and moderate housework, cut up a bunch of fresh veggies and made vegetable soup for supper. Food was on track. Weigh-in 126.2
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

I went out for breakfast/lunch and ordered the Sr. Chef Salad and v-8. It was a nice small but satisfying thing to eat while my hubby got stuffed on pancakes. Then we took the dogs for a nice long walk on the beach. Beautiful day!

The gym open at 12 today. So I got there and I workef out. Bike, treadmill, wwalked and strength exercise. I was there for an1 hour and 52 minutes.

Busy day today, so I'm later than usual checking in. I did go for a 3.5-mile walk at lunch, and it felt good.

I am headed to tje gym for my daily workout. 1 hour and 50 minutes. Maybe 2 hours today. I try to do 2 hours & 30 minutes sometime.

Rode my bike to work today and got my mile walk in too-- Tracking again today--weight is down from yesterday, but still a a bit over goal, so I'm tracking food today--probably tomorrow too--we'll see where weight is in the morning.
Highest weight: 248 August 2010 Reached goal weight of 148 Feb 23, 2012 1/29/14-Gained back 20-peeling it off!

Haven't checked in for quite a while. I have new job and it's been taking up lots of time. BUT, here's what I've noticed. My new job is pretty stressful but what I'm noticing is that I don't feel that stressed and I'm convinced it's because of my general good health! It's been almost a year since I began my journey back to health and I've been maintaining my goal weight since early February. I walk every day and am exploring other fun fitness options. My early morning walks give me a chance to get out, get some fresh air and think about my day. The walks are simply part of my day now and they have become so important. Yes, I have to get up earlier to accomplish this but I can't tell you how much it has improved my overall attitude and sense of well-being. Besides that, I get the majority of my daily steps in before I even leave the house! I am so thankful that I found this site and these forums, they have been a constant source of inspiration for me throughout this past year.
Now I am looking forward to entering my 2nd year of health and fitness! My actual Sparkiversary is July 3 and I am planning a pretty big celebration. Hubby and I are attending a Blues Festival for the entire 4th of July weekend and part of that will be our time to celebrate our success (DH has been losing and walking with me and has lost over 30 lb. and is walking 4 miles a day!).
So thanks Sparkpeople and thanks everyone on all the forums! I will continue to check in and read your great stories and I will definitely continue to take advantage of all the great tools here on Spark! It's just part of who I am now and I'm lovin' it.

THOMASINA57 have a safe trip! Way to go on maintaining while away. I could not convince my son to go to childwatch at the y. I was hoping to go for a run outside because it is absolutely perfect running weather out there today. At least there is the treadmill in the basement. Trying to get motivated to go down there and run soon.

Today is a travel morning for me. I'm catching the ferry back to Vancouver Island after 4.5 days on the mainland. Visiting with family was enjoyable and now it's time to get back into my rountine. I stayed on track pretty good with my eating, so I don't expect any weight gain. Exercise was yoga and walking..

Had a great yoga class last night. I really need to start buying some new workout clothes. Almost flashed the room on a downward dog!
Rest day today, except for walking breaks at work and walking the dog tonight.
I hope everyone's day is less stressful than they thought it would be and that sluggish feelings go away!

Pretty stressful day family wise, but managed to not overdo too bad until I got home last night and the sis's had just ordered pizza - should've only had a half a piece (should have had none, but a half would've been better than the whole piece). Of course, scale was up this morning. Hoping that part of that bounces back down tomorrow and the next day as I get back to tracking and sticking with the eating plan. Light healthy breakfast done and a couple of healthy snacks planned as well as a light recovery run with a running buddy after work. Tomorrow will be "Hills and Drills" in the evening after work, so at least I am getting more consistent with my fitness.

It feels chilly this morning. I will take my little dog out for four walks today. I will walk him about 90 minutes. He loves to walk and then going home he is so tried I have to carry him part of one block. He walks four block in one direction before going back home and it takes about 30 minutes. Yesterday I dragged all day - no energy - and I am suspecting that it's because I've eaten a lot of meat and cheese the past week. For almost a year our diet has been about 80% plant based and there's seldom a sustained period where we eat a lot of animal foods. Somehow last week things were different and by yesterday I could tell. Eh - it's a quick reverse but this is the first time I could really feel how much better my body is when I eat mostly plants.
As a result, though, of the tired draggy feeling I scaled back the intensity of my Monday workout and skipped strength training altogether. Got in 50 minutes but they were sort of easy ones. Interestingly, a friend asked me to show her how to use the bike's program panel so I had to stop about 2/3s of the way through the workout. When I got back on I had renewed energy - so there you have it - do a good deed and sometimes it's rewarded immediately.
