Has the best dh and kids. Today & yesterday they let me sleep in, decorated the house, gave nice gifts, didn't have to cook, ran with dh and let me play on the computer(ok maybe they gave me a little gruff for that, so addicted.)

Got 2 long brisk walks in today, one with a friend and the other solo so I could go a little faster. Also did a couple of hours of heavy gardening and am not feeling quite tired but satisfied. I am continuing to support my daughter through a tough time but didn't feel quite so drained by it today. Talked to all my grandkids...each is so sweet and delightful in their own ways. I feel so lucky to have them in my lives along with my 2 daughters and their families. Happy Mother's Day everyone who is a mom or loves a mom!!
It is a non-tracking weekend for me. Yesterday was breakfast out, "snack" lunch on the boat, "heavy appetizers" at church and an open faced sandwich to give my pills something to land on when we got home from the opera. This morning was breakfast before church, brunch (made by my "foodie" nephew...eggs benedict with from scratch Hollandaise), not sure yet how ambitious I feel about dinner. Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms. I'm not one myself, but was happy to be able to have my Mom and Mother-in-Law in the congregation this morning to hear me sing.

I got to open my Spark Solution as an official present this morning. I had scanned the first few chapters before I let the kids wrap it. I also got the DASH Diet health plan, and 2 DVDs: Dancing with the Stars Latin Cardio and Coach Nicole's newer one. I remember when I got back on board at the start of 2012, I promised myself I wouldn't get any more doodads but this was fun. I helped make breakfast. I was up pretty early and got hungry. My grade schooler really wanted me to have breakfast in bed, but it's kind of uncomfortable and lonely. And I knew exactly what I was getting. ;)
Morning everyone! Had a fun and lazy day yesterday, and feel energized to have a productive day today. The other day I finally got some new clothes that are a little more form-fitting (so much baggy stuff in the closet these days!) and got lots of "wows," especially from people who hadn't seen me in awhile.
Walked my little dog Dusty four blocks and back home. I will be going out to a restaurant today with Mom, my children and my brother. Oh brother! We are going Italian and I hope I can eat a little bit then bring home half my meal. Best wishes on this rainy day. Linda from bean town
Hiked at Red Rock Canyon yesterday with dh, son and daughter in law. Proud of all of us for taking a tough hike. Beautiful day and a good workout. Was grateful for all those squats done that made it possible for my legs to deal with rocky trail and significant elevation.

Happy Mothers Day to everyone. Was a relaxing day yesterday but very enjoyable. Drove to Green Bay to see my new great nephew and he's such a little peanut but perfect in every way. Lots of sitting and no exercise, but was able to keep calories in check, and get in all my water for the day. Today its church, a art festival so i'll get some walking in and then supper with my friends. Have a great day everyone

Good for you, Maree for resisting that DQ blizzard - I had a small once and it was close to 1,000 calories - though I see they also have a mini size. yowzer! Congratulations, Strickler, for managing to make it through a vacation without gaining.
I visited my mother yesterday. She lives in a full service nursing home. She's bed ridden and drifts a lot if nobody's there to prime the pump, but she remembers everyone, loves to look at photographs and listen to old letters and diaries - so I always go with a mini-library to make the visit more fun.
Afterwards I went shopping at one of the upscale malls in the city. I won't do THAT again on a Saturday. I see now, there was a reason I always took the day off to go shopping in the city. I had to wait for an hour to get something - and since that was the real reason I went shopping, no point in not waiting. But I won't try to shop again on a Saturday. Still looking for the perfect go with everything summer purse - and still not finding it.
Took a beautiful evening walk with Himself and the dogs before dinner and savored all that is lush and fragrant in the country. Ahhhh. Blessed.
