Dentists and the flu both wreck havoc on one's diet. No one would wish the flu on another to help them lose weight but ugh food really has no appeal when you are sick to your stomach. I struggled for two days to consume all of about 60% of my normal calorie intake. Then today when I finally felt like eating again, I had my regular check up and cleaning at the dentist and my teeth were painted with fluoride which meant no hot or crunchy food for six hours. Thus more lukewarm bland food after my oatmeal breakfast (what was I thinking!). Anyway, it is amazing to see how our bodies adjust, respond, and deal with such matters. Tomorrow should be back to normal.
Good Afternoon. I hope everyone is having a good day. I did okay with exercise yesterday. I did not do a second work-out because I was cooking and I ran out of time, before I had to go to bed. I did get 30 minutes on my bike this morning before work, and zumba tonight. So today should be better. Hae a sparked day. Lynn

I certainly understand those binge days, and I, too, suffer them more when I am overtired. Good thing we have this support group to remind us bad days happen, and it's okay.
Finally got rid of the last of the salt-induced water retention from vacation, I think. The downside is the return of leg cramps. Perhaps I should just admit I need more salt, but the cramps came back even at the top of my sodium range.
I've been working at the cabin this past week and have not got as much yard work done as I should have--everything has taken off and needs my attention. Always too much to do in the Spring. --BUT, I'll take it! I LOVE Spring weather and the flush of things to do.
Food and nutrition doing well. Skin is firming (just a little) but still no bikini (ever) bod. Up a pound or so today --- ate a big bowl of cabbage soup before bed so probably seeing the result of the little binge.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Another OK day yesterday. I'm having trouble sleeping, which doesn't help much. I'm another one who is more likely to binge if I get too tired. Getting my hair cut after work today. My weight is still on the uphill climb for the week but I expect it to be lower tomorrow. The advantage to weighing every day is that I can see the pattern. Thurday is almost always my high weight for the week, Saturday my lowest.

well I am finally starting to feel better,,,,, but not gonna over do it today so I can go back to work tomorrow... will just be rough with a 12 hour shift... been off work for a week with this sickness......
did have the energy to do a 30 minute walk away the pounds dvd.... thats a light workout for me so i felt good doing something.....
drinking a protein shake now so that maybe I can start out the day right nutritionally and follow through the rest of the day....

Maree no one is perfect 24/7 on this weight lose journey. You are normal like the rest of us and will have bad days. The best thing is that you realize when you go off and you get right back on . Good morning team - had a bit of a meltdown nutritionally yesterday evening - just let myself get too tired, so instead of a sensible snack after "Drills and Hills" class, I finished off the last half of a box of cookies (at least they were sugar free shortbread) and a few bites of chocolate. It hasn't shown up on the scale yet, but probably will tomorrow. Got to watch it extra close now for the next few days and that'll be hard since I am supposed to be carb loading for the 5K Sat and the Half on Sunday. Will I EVER learn?

Good morning team mates. On the long slide into the weekend now. Today I finally get together with my personal trainer - all sorts of things have interrupted that for a month now. It's going to be fun to show him how much I've progressed, working on my own.
It's a Go-In-at-Crack-0-Dawn day for me so I'll get off early - That's always fun for a change.
edited to add - Oh! Forgot - Decided on 4 coconut shrimp for dinner last night, served myself 6 but changed my mind and decided I really only felt like 4! That felt so triumphant.
Good morning. Had fun with two friends going out to dinner last night. Fabulous healthy food. We go out for each other's birthdays and go to same place. The staff knows us and give us the same table each time. I think it's all the conversation and laughter... Lovely tradition and way to stay connected. Great to celebrate friendship.
