Cardio, core, weights, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching. A morning and an afternoon walk.
Late check in, a coworker called in sick. Did ok on food yesterday but was still up a bit, but that's the pattern of my week. I'm still not moving as much as I should. My family schedule is pretty full for the rest of the week, but I got some prep work done for dinner tonight so I should have a little down time before heading for choir practice. to all that are ailing.
well this has been a rough week for me... been sick since sturday so no work and no workouts... went to dr today... put me on meds... hopefully get better soon so i can get back into a routine....

I am sick with a sore throat, fever, chills, and headache. I now have diarrhea. I am drinking water, tea, broth, and eating Jello. I going to the doctor's tomorrow. I may have the flue bug too. I have walked the dog. Linda from bean town

BESSHAILE, I know the apprehension, as I have only been on maintenance a couple of months. Relax, you can do it!
I am also working at pushups.
I am still not ready to return to exercise. This fluey bug is taking its time. But its the first time I have been ill this year, so I thank God for good health.
Got my usual 1 mile walk in before work, weight is right where it's supposed to be. End of the school year craziness is in full swing! Here's to hoping all the seniors in possible jeopardy will squeak by :)

I'm getting ready to head for the mainland on Friday to visit with my elderly Mom and sisters. Mom is 89 this year and starting to fail and fall a lot, but she keeps on ticking!
It will be my first holiday since starting Spark and tracking, so this will be a new challenge for me. One of my sisters is more into healthy eating than the other, so it won't be too stressful..
BUT, Mom will tell me over and over I'm too skinny.. she's always done that.. I'll just have to keep telling her it's to make my arthritis easier to live with, which is the truth!!!!
I've cooked up lots of soup and bread for my husband so he can work and not have to worry about his meals.. Yes, he appreciates my efforts and tells me so..

Had a rough patch for 2 days where I way, way, way overate. Feeling a bit deflated. I did well yesterday. I ate less than I normally do, I had a super long and pumped workout in the morning and then we did a 2 hour nature hike.
Just finished some HIIT and my lower body today. Have a lot cleaning to do after my hubby's last 2 days off. We spent a lot of time outside enjoying the sunny warm weather. My step daughter is coming this weekend and it's my daughter's bday and Saturday. So I have a lot to get done over the next 2-3 days. Going to try to fit in a walk today and tomorrow as well. Hopefully, I'll get everything done by 4pm so we can spend some time in the backyard when my son gets home from school.

"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
Another beautiful day ahead. No appts. scheduled for today so I should be able to get a morning workout in for a change. My workouts have been tough for me lately, but I've managed to get 15 plus miles in so far this week. Rain is in the forecast for tomorrow so it will be a rest day. Or a stationary bike/ST day.

Sunshine! Looking forward to walking today. Yesterday's rain and a full schedule combined to keep me from my walk, so I had only about 7000 steps. I need that brisk walk to push me over 10000. Anyway, yesterday was the first day since vacation started that I was in my calorie range, and I kept it to the low end. Also, 3 pounds of salt-induced water retention has gone bye-bye, so that was a good sign on the scale (and on the way my waist band feels).

Good morning team!
I got up early to go outside for a run, but when I could hear the wind blowing from inside, I decided to do a dvd instead. I have work project that is occupying too much of my thoughts. I went yesterday to buy 6 lbs of shrimp for a shrimp boil we are doing at my house on Sunday. That will be nice.
I'll make it to the moon, if I have to crawl.

Tortise, I am trying to figure out calories. I am up and down the same 2 pounds, but can't get under my goal weight; which is where I want to be. I reset my calories lower, and hopefully that will help. In need to get more MUFA in so I am not so hungry. But I wonder if my hunger is my evil body trying to regain the weight.

Congrats on staying dead on your goal weight, Bess. I am a sniggling 0.5 over and it both makes me laugh and nags me... A motivator, at least. LOL
I'm working on consistency and feel great about a hard elliptical workout yesterday.

Good morning team! Survived the dog and pony show at work yesterday - kept pumpkin seeds in shell on hand to keep the stress eating at bay, but that is definitely an area that I need to work on next.....after keeping my weight stable and in range for a while. I greatly appreciate learning about the weight averaging tool. I am seeing a slow and steady trend toward the middle of my goal weight range - even though there was a small blip on the scale this morning, undoubtably due to salt. I'm sure that it will be gone tomorrow. Working 7-4 today and tonight we have a "Drills and Hills" class with one of my running groups. Then thurs and Fri will Sunday is the first half-marathon of the season. Just hoping to finish this one and use it as a guage to set my goals for the remainder of the running/racing season. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Official weigh in was yesterday and I was dead on the money at goal - what a yippee! feeling that was.
I'm still so new to being at a maintenance weight - still not even sure this is where I want to stay - that I dreaded getting on the scale. My step was certainly light the rest of the day. Had an odd experience though at the gym in the afternoon. Tuesday should have been strength training but I got to watching a television show while using the stationary bike and couldn't bring myself to stop pedaling. Only had time for my push-ups. I did 1 set of 20 shallow ones and 1 set of 5 really deep ones. Wow - they felt different. the shallow ones were hard on my arms but the deep ones really worked my pecs.
What an adventure.
I had a nice long run last night w/a couple buddies. Today is a rest day and going to enjoy my last preschoolers mother's day tea party w/my ds. Then hopefully meet w/a contractor for a bid on a home project. Wondering if I should love it or list it?

I had a great run yesterday. I made a new playlist and took a different route than I normally do and ended up running four miles. That's the motive run so far.
Today on my walking break at work, I will have completed the Boston 2013 peace marathon.
I'll walk the dog tonight but then I'm looking forward to resting.

Team Leader One Day Challenge
I'm headed to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. I got in an extra walk at lunch yesterday. Nutrition was good but I didn't get it all tracked. I hope to get back to that but it seems I never do. :((. Love these long sunny days of spring.
