ONEWEIGH-- I just read your post and know how you feel. I almost wrote a similar statement on another post tonight.

I am 125 (from a beginning weight of 276) yet I still FEEL fat. A glance at myself in the store window or mirror shows an 'almost' normal looking woman. Yet, I still feel like I have a big belly and look fat, despite reassurance from my family, friends and even strangers that I am no longer fat. The first time I got a comment from a store clerk at a clothing store about me being thin, I almost thought she was talking about someone else. I couldn't believe a stranger thought I was small, it was exhilarating!

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

SW: 275-276 Ht. 5'6"
GW: 135 (goal range: 130-140)
CW: WAS 124.7 NOW: 143.5
My focus is health AND fitness! And LOSING 10 lbs. again!

there . . . )

Welcome to the newest member of our group! And to the newer members too. I am a lightly seasoned newbie, being here for a few months now. Hope we can help and support you.

My check-in---Today I kept calories in range but not much on exercise. I am in a exercise funk and need to get back in the groove. No 'real' exercise since Saturday. Well, just a little.
I really NEED to do something serious tomorrow, because I am a flabby mess. And this mess will not improve sitting on my butt (luckily, it is not FAT butt anymore, just a flabby one! ha! ha!)
Weigh-in today 125.7.

Have a GRRREAT Wednesday, everyone!!!!

Welcome Nicky CRane. Haven't been here that long myself but find the daily check in really helpful. emoticon
Just got in after a great boating trip with my partner where I had very little opportunity to get any exercise except for a few yoga stretches for about 3 days now (first 2 days there were hiking opportunities thank goodness!). I think I did well with my nutrition but know the exercise and nutrition go hand in hand so will be back on it as of this evening with a long walk....am waiting because we seem to be in the middle of a heat wave here and I got burnt on the boat so will hold off untill the sun is a wee bit lower!!
This boat trip was a blissful and important relaxation time for me....have been working a lot so needed this down time away. Now ...back to the work projects!!!
Happy evening everyone!!!

Good evening everyone! I feel overawed to see how much exercise you are all doing. I am new to this post, but like the idea of the accountability.
I reached my goal weight of 57 kilos in early March, as far as I remember, and have been a bit uptight since, afraid of puttingit back on. I am now eating intuitively, tho checking my cals. If I am hungry, I reckon I need to eat. I have been eating above my cal guidelines, and still taking off weight. That is OK. Last week I seem not to have recorded my weigh in, suspecting it of being inaccurate after a tummy bug, as I had celebrated my 70th birthday and been to a wedding and eaten mor cals than usual, yet my weight was stable. Today, after 3 days in bed with a nasty cold, so no exercise but had eaten over my guidelines, I was down 1/2 a kilo, 54.5, maybe a bit less. My measurements were down too.
I struggled out of bed and actually spent 25 mins in the garden, cleared some ground and planted out some zucchini. Cooked SP beefburger soup, which we shall try tomorrow. My sister, who is staying with me, made a nettle quiche, breakfast for 2 days, and cookd a chicken in the slow cooker, which we enjoyed for supper.
I hope to be able to start exercising again in the next few days. I have started Coach Nicoles body sculpting dvd, which does challenge my thigh muscles! The days I do that, I also work at pushups. Was challenged to do 50 recently, and succeeded. But returning to that must wait till I am over this cold. This last week is the first time I remember being unwell this year, so I am not complaining.
T, When I was put on amitryptilline, it made me feel worse than ever. I am glad you have been able to get off it. I am sure the exercise will do you much more good.

Good Morning Team
I've been waking up so early since I stopped taking my amitriptyline at night and instead of tossing about, I've been getting up and practicing yoga.. I think it's becoming a routine as my eyes pop open at 5:15 or so..

I'm learning to deal with my pain and stiffness naturally and this alone is so good for how I feel mentally.

I hope you all have a good day and enjoy the early spring..

I'm not as active as a lot of this team, but my husband and I did get a little walk between dinner and a movie last night. I had one of those moments when I realize that my body image is completely out of line with reality. We were in a Lebanese restaurant and my husband asked the owner if one combo plate was meant to serve two. "Oh yes! Lots of food! And she (indicating me) is so small, she won't eat much--you'll have lots to take home!" True, we ate lots and I'm still having hummus and baba ganoush for lunch today, but my inner self was screaming, "I'm NOT small! I'm huge and I eat tons!" emoticon

Good morning, everyone!!
Got to work early enough (because I got out of bed early--amazing how that works :) to get an extra mile walked before I punched in.
Have a great day!

Morning everyone! I'm about to do some Bollywood dancing and eat some yogurt and granola for breakfast. Since I've continued to lose weight, I decided to adjust my maintenance weight in my goals and my ticker. I'm still in a healthy BMI range, but I just didn't see myself going this small, and don't really want to go smaller than this. I think SP's nutrition tracker tends to skew low on the calories. I'd like to find a true maintenance range of consumption for myself soon.

Have a great day!

I wish I had the time to devote to exercise that some of you all have, but work and the commute suck up too many hours of my day.

Anyway, I'm back from a super vacation! Fortunately, I was able to counter (at least partially) the amazing food through miles and miles of hiking/walking in the beautiful Columbia Gorge in Washington and in Anchorage, Alaska. I accurately predicted how many pounds I would gain, especially with all the salty food, and I'm confident the pounds will go away again as I get back into my Spark routine.

omto the pool for a hour of water walking and jogging and an then home to work with the young teen next door on some homework. At noon I'll hit the family history center at church to work on genealogy and then a meeting this evening. Nothing special but a full day. Trying to figure out how to work my body in the water without stressing out the shoulder i just had surgery on. It sure was sore yesterday. Beautiful day again today and hope to get outside for awhile at some point in the day.

MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it

Good morning team!
Got up early for 30 minutes on the treadmill (incline) and some arms. Got a lot of work done at the office yesterday and am hoping for another productive day. I'm making one of my favorite sparkrecipes tonight. It is so easy, inexpensive, and healthy! Check it out!

Hi,
I was reading your posts and noticed you all seem to be high exercise people like me. I'm not yet at my goal but trying to get there. I was almost there a few months ago but got stuck and frustrated but am back at it again. I'm thinking I wasn't eating enough and wasn't losing and didn't feel very well. I'm wondering how many calories you all ate to get to goal. Thanks for your help. By the way I love zumba too, do it 5 days/week.

Boy - this is one active bunch. I'm seeing now that maintenance really demands 1 to 2 hours of deliberate activity every day. Not necessarily blow-out workouts but conscious movement. Fortunately I like to move around - but I have to keep this in mind because I also like to curl up in the corner of the couch with a book or my knitting. Yesterday I seemed hungry all day long and ate accordingly. What would I do without bananas?

I also decided it was time to up my cardio to 55 minutes. Normally Monday is a short cardio with strength training but I'm going to do that today instead. Oh! Just realized - I need to hit the gym an hour early today too. Going out to dinner with Himself and need to get home in time to shower off. thank goodness daylight lingers now. It's a rainy rainy day here in Virginia. We'll need all the brightness we can find.

Good morning I did 45 minutes on my bike this morning. Will have pilates later today and then zumba tonight. I had a great zumba class last night, and felt so energized.

I continue to work on my eating. I need to get healthy fats in, so I am not hungry during the day. I am doing 60-100 minutes a day, and some days I am starving.

Have a great day.

Good morning team!

Up after closing last night (had trouble sleeping-grrrrr) and trying to get bright eyed an bushy tailed for our "visistors" today. Work is from 7-4 and then home to take care of sis and the furry family. Gonna try to get in some abs and then a good nights sleep. Afraid these allergies are trying to turn into a sinus infection. Hoping to get better FAST as the first half-marathon of the year for me is this weekend.

Morning all

Had a great yoga class last night. I really need to stretch my hips more. Boy were they tight last night.

Hopefully I can get a run in after work, in addition to my walk breaks at work and walking the dog later.

Happy Tuesday

Good morning! I'm headed out in a few to do 30 min cardio (probably treadmill intervals) and 60 min pilates class. With some luck, I'll get a 35 min walk in at lunch with a friend. Yesterday we enjoyed a balmy walk. Our weather cycle seems to be stuck on beautiful days during the week, with rain and cool temps on weekends--not fair!!

Yesterday nutrition was on track and I was able to tackle the stack of work, realizing that "Rome wasn't built in a day"! Ha! It will take a few to get through the stack.

We are planning to go to the houseboat this weekend, "H" or high water! Forecast isn't the greatest, but we're going anyway. That makes me smile and I'm motivated to get my chores done in advance so I can have some R & R at the River. Oneweight, I loved your cushion story; boaters can be very resourceful!

Okay, I'm off to the gym. Hope all have a great day!
