All you Sparkers talking about sunshine make me jealous. We are about to get washed away in North Georgia. Rain, rain, rain! Today I am in charge of the refreshments for a ceremony honoring the Boy Scouts in our community who have earned Eagle this past year. Lots of cake, punch made with lime sherbet, chips, dips and other goodies. I'll probably have a small piece of cake and maybe a little lime sherbet but I'm not a big fan of these kinds of junk food so iit shouldn't derail me. I'll have to rely on my trusty Wii for my exercise today. Hanging in at about 4lbs below ultimate goal.

I usually check in before work, but have been getting up early every day and this morning had to get going earlier than normal to get some errands done prior to work at 7AM. Tomorrow is usually a lighter day for me, but after church (7-12:45 since I am doing lighting), I have to do the yard. First mowing of the season....oh well. Nutritionally I did okay today and I'm sure I'll get plenty of exercise tomorrow. Tonight, I'm headed to bed by 8:30 so I'll sign off and get some ready and relaxing done before turning out the lights.

grandkids are great, Had the 7yr old grandson over night and all day today, lots of up and down. Made a double batch of low sugar blueberry jam and did about 20 sets of steps up and down the basement, in groups of 5 so i think the exercise is good for today. Sunny today and no rain. MAYBE MY BASEMENT WILL DRY OUT. I sure hope so

Lots of cals in this week: a wedding, my 70th birthday, and today out to coffee with a young friend who's just beginning to be able to leave her baby with her mother for an hour or 2. Not many cals out: tummy bug laid me low on Monday, and a very nasty throat this afternoon. So I seem to have put on 1/2 kilo - still 1 1/2 kilos under goal weight. I'm trying to work out how many cals to aim at - seem to lose weight even at top end of my guidelines, except for this week, when I have exceeded them regularly. But I check cals to live, I don't live to check cals!
Good afternoon team! It is (finally!) a beautiful spring day here and we are all inside lazing around wasting it. Eating lunch now and as soon as I'm done I will get my booty up and moving.
We are having fajitas and cerveza tonight to celebrate Cinco de Mayo. (It's a Texas thing) DH is cooking which means I will do all of the prep work and sides and he stands over the grill for 15 minutes. LOL!

I am wondering if I'm ever going to discipline myself enough to get my weight back down. Yesterday I bought French macarons from the bakery across from work and ate 7 of them. I won't buy them again--or at least not for a long time and not as many at a time. We are looking at a glorious weekend and the official opening day of boating season. An old friend of my husband's is joining us on the boat today. He is an experienced sailor, so we should learn a lot unless he gets annoyed and keel-hauls my beloved! They've been friends since they were paper-boys together, so they can argue like brothers.

Hi there team mates! Just a quick hello as I am on "grandma" duty this weekend. :))) We celebrated Mother'sDay a llittle early with my daughter -- got her six forsythia bushes and planted them--a gift that keeps on giving! I am so thankful for her great parenting; never in a million years would I have guess that a granddaughter would bring us all so much joy.
My workout this morning was pretending her little blue coupe was a race car and we would rev up the engine, pretend the lights were changing "1 2 3" and then a peelout across the back yard to the finish line. Can't tell you how many times we did that! ha!
well I am at work today so wont get much in for exercise.... 12 hour shift.... depending on how it goes I may go use a treadmill after work in cariac rehab... but just depends on how the 12 hours go.... hope everyone enjoys the weather...

May is making up for a cold, windy, rainy April. Another beautiful calm, sunny and mild day here in Ontario, Canada and it's suppose to be the same all week.
Just finished my cardio. Having a late breakfast; a pumpkin spice, oat, banana yogurt parfait with graham crackers. Yum! Woke up another 1/2 lb down the scale! Day 5 on track. Doing the vaccuuming, mopping, laundry today and I have a lot of meals to prep. Maybe do some baking when my daughter goes down for her nap and then we'll go outside, water the garden, I'll catch some sun on my legs and have a tea. Then we'll probably eat dinner outside again.
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
It is a May day holiday weekend in England , I had no major plans just potter round and have some craftwork time. It's not really going to plan so far re craft work but I am sticking with my healthy eating plan. That has to come first plus exercise time. I m on track with that. Just need to stretch each day for a few more hours ! Have a great weekend. Irene

Good morning, team! And welcome to Saturday (-: I'm so glad it's here and am looking toward an active day with a long walk. Our son arrived safely home from Wyoming where he has been for 3 months in wilderness leadership training. It was great to see his happy healthy face come toward me at the airport last night. I had a "Spark" moment thinking how great it is to see healthy values passed along to the next generation and feel we've provided a good example.
