Really late check in for me today!
I had a busy day with laundry, hanging it all out, bringing it back in and now it's time to make up the bed.
Exercise was good today too and I was up at 5:30am from an achy body, so did 30 minutes of yoga to start my day.
We walked the dogs and I got in my stationary bike time too.. Phewwww,
Now I'm going to go back and see how everyone else is today.

May day! I'm determined to get that scale heading down. I can't very well start the latest challenge out of the running. Taking tomorrow off to spend the day with my college roommate.

Happy May! I'm going for more walks and enjoying more salads, YAY Going to get a fishing licence and explore more of the beautiful Redwoods, lakes, rivers and Ocean. Fishing really isn't exercise but I'll be walking with my dogs while hubby puts the yucky worm on my hook and gets me untangled!

Good morning! The weather has been so crazy here this spring. It was 93 on Monday and they are predicting snow tomorrow. Today it is 50 and the wind is blowing 30 mph. Ugh. Did not get my early workout this morning. It's cardio day. Guess I'll get on the treadmill this evening. It will be a busy day today.
Everyone have a great day!

Got a quick walk in before work this morning--yesterday I got one in before work and one during my lunch break--then another through the woods with my darling :) last evening. So warm! Rain coming for tomorrow though.

May 1st...my now 3 year old grandson's birthday.....just remembering his birth and how wonderful it was to be there!! Had a great dinner with a group of women with whom I used to work. We meet monthly and have been for over 10 years. What a joy to have them still part of my life! Have a yoga class and 1 hour walk built into my schedule today. yesterday I set the timer for every hour (morning at least) to remember to get up and stretch. I work at home and find I get absorbed at the computer and forget to take care of my body. This is one of my new goals for the month....regular stretching throughout the day!!!
Happy May all!

Happy May everyone! I'm still in recovery mode, but I think taking a break from working out last night helped. I'm going to have to play it by ear again about whether or not I got to the gym this evening. I'd really like to, but I also don't want to overdo it, especially since I have plans with friends on Friday that I'd like to be well for.
Have a great day!

I had a non scale victory yesterday. I bought my first size zero clothes. I usually try on only one and twos. Anyway, I was at Delia's, a young woman boutique. I was trying on shorts, on sale for 19.99. I had four pair of one/two. One of them didn't fit just right. The saleslady ask me if she could help. I told her to get me a size zero in one style. It fit. So I bought three size one/two shorts and one size zero pair. I figure the number of the clothes doesn't matter. I still don't like the idea of a size 0, but I can tell myself that I'm more than a number.

Going a little easier today. Already ran for 20 minutes. I've improved my speed on my neighborhood route. I'll walk for 30 minutes at work and then do 30 minutes of Hip Hop Abs tonight. I also need to take the dog on quick walk tonight.

60 minutes of water jogging and then a 45 min slow version of water aerobics is my starting point this am. Then it's a busy day of computer class, clinic appointment, and ending the day working at the Family History Center where I help others work on genealogy or if we are slow I get to work on mine. Hope everyone has a great day. Spring has finally come to Wisconsin

Morning all - slept with the windows open and the ceiling fan on - ahhhh - felt much better this morning than yesterday (after a fitful night and waking with a migraine). Kind of upset about the scale today - did have a small (200 cal) overindulgence on Monday, but right back on track yesterday - and on the low end of my range if anything and this morning is showing a 3 lb gain! Trying to keep a seperate weight tracker using the moving weighted average to see if that helps. Guess all I can do is to do what I know works and pray that the scale catches up. (It's so much easier to say when I am telling that to other people).

Walking lunges! LOL. I know those. Sometimes my pt makes me do them across the gym floor.
Good to hear about everyone's outdoor activities yesterday. It rained here all day so I didn't get any walks in during the day but I did 4 library tours with wiggly elementary school kids - lots of standing and walking for me. today will be different - only one tour and sunshine and the pre-school story hour kids like me to swoop them up in the air - we call them that ... "Swoops" I usually have 20 of them and most want swoops. Great upper body workout! Tomorrow I get 6 tours! whew.
The bad thing about these tours is that I have to go in 2 hours early. The good thing is I get to leave 2 hours early. OMG - how I WISH I could always go to the gym at 4 o'clock. Sweet. Empty. Mine all mine.

Had a major headache yesterday and didn't get much done. Feeling better today so far. Running this morning for about 6 miles and I'm working on planting a flower/herb bed. I'm thinking it will be nice enough to get it planted, I can always cover it up if we get a hard freeze.

and good morning from the west coast - got to sleep in today, no alarm, since it is a holiday in sweden. still woke up at 1 a.m., but it is the tail end of jet lag. had a good third run since our return yesterday, though we decided to take two days in between, so today will be a long walk day - or several walks. my new fitbit arrived with a new charger cable (i have somehow managed to lose two cables so far, and cables are on back order, so for now i have a backup of everything), and it feels good to be back on track with that. coupled with the replacement garmin (i do love rei!) for the one that stopped working last january, it feels good to have my electronic toys keeping me on track.
diet and weight are doing better... it's so nice to be back in the kitchen after all the travel.
hope everyone has a great day! happy may!

Good morning!!! Happy May 1st!!
I'm up early, sitting on the back deck under the stars with my puppy dog enjoying a cup of coffee and 60 degree warmth. Only thing better would be to transport to the deck of the houseboat anchored out on the river. Close my eyes, take a deep breath and dream...
Okay, back to reality. Good to "see" you again Irene, hope that foot heals. Lots of running and renewed energy out there. Very inspiring. I'm headed to gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. Still feeling the pain from Monday's walking lunges. Nutrition better this week but do you ever fear getting on the scale after too many days of celebrating ? Silly I know.
Hope everyone has a super dooper day!!
