What a WONDERFUL day!!! Perfect in every way. Well, almost. I am always fighting sinus issues, but can't say much else was wrong with my world today.
Did real work today -- no workout, but wish I could get myself better disciplined in working out with a bit of structure . . . push-ups, Bess? I need those! Treadmill? I could benefit . . . however, plain ole walking is my current thing (I wonder how long it would take to walk to Singapore? lol, ugh . . . definitely, just joking)--I have foot issues too, Irene and cannot run or jump too much--tried jump rope a few weeks back and it was just too much for my foot. Manhandling a shovel, a ladder and the Windex was the workout of the day. I am still lifting weights a little at night so I am not being idle. Have had a burst of energy this last couple weeks . . . hope it continues.
Weight today was 124.4. and food choices are very good.
Jep, maintenance may take a while to figure out, but that is why you are here. I have almost completed 5 months and with advent of Spring and with more activity I suddenly lost about 8 -10 more pounds that I wasn't planning to lose. I actually think I like the extra 10 lbs. loss--if that is what is giving me added energy, that is even better. I also like having less tummy bulge--this last 10 lbs. (under what the charts say) seems to have done it. I just don't want to lose anymore . . .

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

ran almost 3 miles on the treadmill at the gym while my son had his swim class. Eating on track so far today. yesterday did a lot of cleaning. Should be paying bills right now instead of being on here, lol.

Went quite a bit over yesterday, but back on track today - work with a migraine (hadn't had one of those in a couple years) but was able to get some medicine down before it crippled me for the day. Needless to say, getting a late(r) start. Hoping the day picks up from here.

Good morning team! It is 66 degrees here this morning and I can't stop smiling!
Had a long day yesterday, but am making some progress on a big project that will come to fruition at the end of May. Ran 3.5 miles yesterday morning in the dark. Starting to get more and more comfortable with running in my neighborhood before sunrise. I have a really cool highly reflective jacket. I almost feel like they can see me better than in daylight!
I opted to sleep an extra hour this morning and do my strength training tonight. I have a huge pile of work on my desk, but I'm going to stay focused on individual tasks until they are done rather than flitting all over the place like I usually do.

Morning everyone! I was looking back at this month, which was pretty interesting for me in a number of ways, including with my weight loss. This is the first full month I've been in "maintenance," and I think it's safe to say I've had more ups and downs with my eating this month than the last 6 months, yet I ended up losing more weight this month than most of the months where I was trying to lose weight. I know stress from all the "interesting" things in my personal life from this month was a likely contributing factor. Anyway, hoping for a less interesting May.
I'm about to do some cardio with Coach Nicole and eat breakfast. Have a great day everyone!

Just finished 30 minutes of HIIT. Going to have a lemon, ricotta, banana whole wheat crepe for breakfast. Then finish up with some lower body. Getting all the cleaning and laundry done. After lunch taking the kids for a walk and maybe stop off at the park, it's going to be another gorgeous day. Coming home and my youngest will take her nap. Probably have a coffee and something to eat. Then we're going to play outside for the rest of the day and I'll get more gardening done.
Oh, and 1 lb down since yesterday. Surprised! Considering I had another binge yesterday. But I managed to just break even at my daily maintenance calorie needs considering I was super active yesterday.
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.

I have a challenging meeting coming up and am looking forward to getting into it and through it. After that I will workout (I am thinking gotta get those pushups going too, B) and dinner with a group of women friends tonight.

Good news Nancy, that your tooth extraction didn't leave you suffering. And Yay! Maree - bad day behind you - fun day ahead.
Monday caught me with the reminder that the school tours start this week! Ugh. Wave after wave of elementary school children will pass through the library for about 5 days over 2 weeks. I'm always caught off guard with this part of the year even though it always comes around. It's fun - but it's exhausting. And not much else gets done. yikes!
The bad thing is I have to go in at o dark thirty on each of those days. The good thing is I get to leave work early and catch the gym before everyone else gets off of work. The GREAT thing is that i was able to do 2 sets of 14 push-ups yesterday. woo woo. Beach Vacation - here I come!
Feeling surprisingly well after my tooth extraction. Cleaning house this a.m., helping hubby cut down some trees and replant new ones this afternoon...I'm also hoping for a bike ride today. It's beautiful out!
