Busy day today so am just getting to this now.
A good walk in the sunshine was all I managed today. But I did squeeze in an afternoon of bridge after several weeks of intense work on projects. Felt good!

did my first water work out in 6 wks, actually 1st workout since surgery on March 11th. It felt wonderful. Did 20mins of water jogging and 45 mins of water aerobics. Then hit the hot tub and the shower for the first time also. I was in heaven.
MOVING AND MAINTAINING. Yesterday is gone, let it go, tomorrow hasn't happened, don't long for it. Today is the present .........enjoy it
A good day food-wise and exercise-wise. Had a really great run after a few not so good ones. Breathing issues were much improved, reflux was minimal, it was a beautiful day and I didn't hit too many red lights! I have a race on Sunday so it was good to get a productive run in at a PR pace.
Breathing issues probably resolved because I ate well today, which is a good thing. I'm starting to figure out what works for me since I'm STILL getting used to the whole "eating for an athlete" thing.
140 had always been a bit of a soft goal for me, since I set it when I didn't think I could do it. I might shoot for 137 or so now. At 139 today.
Formerly 230 lbs, now 90 lbs lighter. Runner, sub-27 5K finisher, sub-58 10K finisher, sub-95 15K finisher, half marathon finisher, survival and success story.

10K PR: 57:43
15K PR: 1:34:25

Wow 20 days is all? I should ask my daughter they go till mid June, my college classes are done mid May graduation is my birthday. We are getting tons of rain right now and in 30's.

Saturday I ran my first 5k in 2 years,,,, then my time was 42 minutes... ran it saturday 34:40... i was so proud of myself.... took 7 minutes off my time....
today gonna go run one of the trails around town have another 5k this saturday... then a friend of mine wants me to walk with her so she can get started on a walking program so i said I would...

Checking in! It has been a few days but I'm still hanging in there.
I got a garage cleaning workout yesterday. lol I have a 'mini' art studio and canning kitchen in my garage and like to feel a sense of order and cleanliness so I delved in and got all the bug gunk and dirt eliminated from my work and canning areas. I started at noon and quit at 8, still have more to do, but not today--it is just too chilly and I don't want to turn on the heat in the garage.
Cold and rainy today. Brrrr! So I am going to work on my quilt---inside where it is WARM.
Weight is down in my LOWer than expected range (124.1 on Monday). I never thought I'd actually lose weight without trying but I did. Kind of exciting in a weird way.
Still, I don't think I need to lose any more so adding in a few healthy calorie 'treats' on occasion. Yippee!!!
Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

I'm diong pretty good. Toddler slept for 8 hours straight which was awesome, though I was only asleep for 6 of those. But it bodes well for progress toward weaning.

Yesterday I got in about 3 1/2 hours of paddling, both on a one-man outrigger canoe and in a 20-man dragonboat.

Started my day with a walk before work--today is my "Friday"--so I will be pretty much "unplugged" til Monday again--hoping to get lots of active things in over the next four days--although I will spend about 8 hours in the car round trip over the weekend--wedding shower for my cousin--get to see my mom, aunt, and cousins!

All is well with me, I'm doing pretty good at managing my pain naturally and everyday am trying to learn more about the healing properties of herbs. It's a subject that has always interested me, more so now as I'm so sensitive to prescription medications and the Dr. did tell me that lifestyle changes make a huge difference in people with chronic arthritic conditions.
Oneweigh.. A bakery across the street.. eeeekkk... Years ago I remember my sister standing in front of a bakery drooling over everything in the window and I told her to picture herself naked, and then decide if that goodie was worth the calories.. She decided it was not and still to this day tells me she remembers that moment!!

Yesterday I (and, from the sounds of it, half the other people in the department) succumbed to the lure of the new bakery across the street. I figured the pastry as something over 500 calories, so that skewed by nutritionals for the day. It was good but not life changing and at $4 not something I'm going to have every day. My slow cooker meal (Italian beef for sandwiches) turned out really well. It's nice to come home and have dinner nearly made! We're in for another beautiful day and I need to get motivated to enjoy as much of it as I can. Since I work in the basement, if I don't get out on my breaks I miss most of it.
Hi, all! Teleworking but very busy trying to wrap things up before vacay starts tomorrow. So need to get away. Unfortunately, the nervous stress of trying to get ready saw me pacing back and forth from the pantry to the fridge last night. On the upside, there was nothing unhealthy, so I ended up scarfing down some dried wild blueberries...enough that I went over my calorie limit. Trying to be better today.

Good morning team. Didn't wake up early for cardio this morning. Will do something this evening instead. Did my strength training last night. I really prefer to get my exercise out of the way first thing in the morning, but it is nice to know that I can squeeze it in in the evening if need be. It is supposed to be nicer today, maybe I'll go for a run in the neighborhood.

Calories at low end of range (though not the best nutrition) - walked about 6000 steps. Not great, but not bad.

I too am having a better week this week. Yesterday was good for me. I got a lot of cardio in 2 1/2 hours and then stayed within calorie goals. I am feeling a little sick today, so I need to be careful not to succumb to carbs.

It's raining here today so it's indoor exercise and daily yoga for me.
Yesterday my DD and I did get half the garden planted. We'll finish when the wet moves out.

Looks like everyone is gearing up for a busy day. I stepped into a 90mph day myself this morning! Facing a deadline of tomorrow afternoon.
I have a 5K on Saturday so giving the legs a rest after working them on Sunday. I'll get my walking breaks in at work, then some SP upper body ST videos tonight. I'm seeing a little more definition in my arms. I'm digging it!

I'm back to work today - had lighting practice last night for our service of prayer and worhip on Sunday night. Lots of music, so practice ran late. Today I work 7-4 then have a meeting for church re: starting a 30's+ singles ministry at our church. Thankfully I found time to make a delicious Green Chicken Chili in the crockpot yesterday. Really just threw some stuff together and then shredded the chicken when I got home. This one is definitely a keeper!
Tomorrow is another 7-4 and then right off to the Adventure run. I think sometime Sat AM I have a couple of minutes to breathe and then again on Monday.
Will try to be faithful to checking in, but in case I don't get a chance to later.....have a GREAT weekend everyone!

What a great birthday gift, Maree - you have a very thoughtful husband and daughter.
The past 2 days have been crazy busy trying to get Stuff done. Today I'm off to the city - about 60 miles away - to confer with sister and the health care people at Mama's nursing home. We do this every month. Mama (who's 90) has done splendidly at this new facility so the conferences are usually short. I pulled out a wonderful photo album from the 1960's to share with Mama for about an hour before the conference. This always brings on a long happy trip down memory lane for both of us.
Afterwards sis and I will have lunch and then I will indulge in some retail therapy. Yes. city stores - here I come. I'll try to slip in a brief stop at a cousin's house but I'll be on the road by 4 to miss the evening rush hour. Going home the long way will take me past my gym. Today its cardio and strength training. I love it when I have time to do both.

Good morning, mates. I'm up early. Can see that wee one with flowers for you in my mind, Maree! Best kind of bd ever, I bet. I'm jumping on the busy day track too, Nancy. I had a total relaxation day yesterday so I am rev'd and ready for some action. My husband and I found this great little restaurant last night that serves small portions of interesting food paired with small portions of wine. We will be going back! And fun on a warm evening too.

Rainy and blustery here, so working out inside. I think I'll do the elliptical and exercise bike, along with some weights.
I do have to get out today to take Morgan, my furbaby for her annual vet visit. Bible study this evening.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes and kind comments. What a wonderful day!! DH and DD schemed a surprise for me -- my granddaughter walked into my office at about 11:30 with big bouquet of flowers and had a yummy lunch. Cheesecake and other treats to spend the next week working off. Lol
Headed to gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class.
DD and GDD will be here a couple of days.
