Hello all! Busy day today, I had to work this weekend and was running around the whole time. Didn't eat well but I managed to get in a 4.25 mi run today for the first time in two weeks. Which is a good thing since I have a race next Sunday! Gained a pound from goal but I'm back on track after the bad food weekend. Bought a 1.5qt slow cooker (it's so little!) from Meijer on clearance for $6 so I am PSYCHED. Never owned a slow cooker before, I have so many recipes to try!
Jenni--sounds like you've got delayed onset muscle soreness. You must have had a good workout on Wednesday! I didn't get any sewing done yesterday. We braved the weather and took the boat out for a bit, then ran some errands and on the way home saw that one of my hus band's favorite authors was going to be giving a lecture that evening, so we went to that. Since dinner ended up being popcorn (the lecture was at the Film Forum) I kept my calories in check for the day and this morning I can (FINALLY) post a loss for the week. Have a great Sunday!

Yes....way to go Amanda!!! What a great accomplishment! Here's to a great new start Jep 923!! I'm back on track after my sheer enjoyment of a good pizza yesterday!! I am learning that 1 day is just 1 day and I don't have to have it be anything but that. Feels good. Am off for a walk with a friend in the sunshine today and have a concert tonight with some friends. Looking forward to both. Have a great day everyone!!

Happy Sunday team! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! I worked yesterday (busy with lots of customers needing clean up supplies from the flooding) and then did dinner with my sisters at Red Lobster....made HORRIBLE choices. Today's 10K was cancelled due to flooding, but another group of my runnign friends is gathering to do their own 10K and raise some $ for those affected by the Boston bombings so I will join them this morning. It's a long way out, but I'll miss services today and do the run then head out to another friend's surprise birthday party....make a quick appearance and then get home in time to have a few minutes with my sisters and try to get another decent nights sleep. If I don't linger at the birthday party, I should have a pretty safe day nutrition wise and will burn 525-575 on my run. Got some ground to make up!

I had a very nice day yesterday. The weather was nice. Did my run on the treadmill and then Earth Day activities and sat outside and enjoyed the sunshine for awhile followed by a bike ride with DH. Today the rain/snow is back. I've got laundry and cleaning to do and some sort of exercise. Not sure what yet.
I held my own yesterday with a trip to the farmer's market, the gym and a long walk outdoors with Himself. that gave me extra wiggle room for the cocktail party we went to last night. I'd figured the points/calories of my extra exercise so I knew how much extra I could nibble at the food tables and I stopped when I reached the limit. So proud of myself.
Today there is housework to do. dogs are shedding. vacuum needs to be pressed into service.

My legs have been so dead since yesterday. I don't know what I did. I haven't done lower body since wednesday and took a rest day thursday (we did do a lot of nature walking). I did some circuit training with JM on friday and some metabolic resistance training yesterday but nothing out of the ordinary. I'm suppose to do lower body today but I guess I'll skip it and maybe just do some HIIT and JM's Ripped in 30. I'm going to be taking an hour walk today with the kids as well to the grocery store. Gotta do some mopping today and going to try to fit in some baking. I want to make some lemon poppyseed muffins to freeze and some Pumpkin and PB granola bars for the kids (and probably me!)
"Toning" is marketing muscles to women who are afraid if they pick up a barbell, they'll leave the gym looking like She-Hulk. It doesn't happen, what does happen is you get results. Lifting Barbie weights does nothing but waste time.
