Been trying to go home since way too early yesterday. Praying this 3rd airport is a charm&hoping it can take me home soon. I was stuck w/delays from phoenix and cancellations in Dallas being on standby flights and unable to get out was frustrating but at least I had my family with me and I think I ate healthy. Please pray my family, luggage and I make it home soon :) Take care! Getting my exercise walking, running and taking stairs around the airport.

It still feels strange not doing Insanity every morning. This is my second day off and the weather is cold. We are even getting a snow flurry. I did get my 30 minute walk with the dog in today.

Hey all!
Windy, tornado warnings, rain coming in later . . . Spring is here . . . is this what we were waiting for???? I'll take it over snow and 20 degrees any day!

No food 'incidents' yesterday . . . but tomorrow and Sat. I may not be so lucky. Going up to Carmel and having dinner with my daughters, grandchildren and meeting my step son and his wife too. Looking forward to the 'reunion'. I haven't seen my stepson in a few years so this will be nice.
I am NOT going to worry about overages . . . BUT will try to 'act' mature and like I have always eaten appropriately . . . ha! ha! I know it sounds silly to some, especially to a person with non-eating issues, but my mind doesn't work like normal when it comes to food so I 'fake it till I make it." I have some wiggle room on the weight, so I'll be OK!!!

Congrats to Bess on your anniversary! Thomasina, I tried jogging a few . . . weeks . . . ago in intervals with walking. I did OK but really felt it the next day. I'll should try again--and KEEP trying . . . still fighting the urge to be an exercise bum. Gotta get past that mindset!!!! Good for you though and keep it up!!!

Hope you have a great day AND a great weekend (should I not make it back here for a few days.)

Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Good Morning Team
I'm on a feeling better streak.. day 4! I survived my slow jog yesterday with minimal muscle soreness and can't believe I actually jogged after 20 plus years. After years of arthritis, I feel pretty darned good about trying!

I hope everyone has a wonderful day and the rains ease up!!

Wow...lots of rain happening in some places!
Good luck on your presentation at the conference today Jep 923 and on having a good lunch!!
You can do it Kelliebean!!!
I had a very productive day yesterday on my 1st day of my work trip. A presentation I was hoping to make to move a project along was cancelled because some of the key players couldn't be there and I was disappointed but rallied and shifted focus and moved another few forward.
Am hoping to do the same today and to get my workshop for Friday clarified. Raining today so started with yoga this morning but do enjoy the classes better...find I forget moves and just don't have the same motivation. Plan to continue with walking because I don't have to make it up as I go!!
Have a great day everyone

As expected, my weight is up this morning as the result of a restaurant meal. We met friends for dinner before going to see Jersey Boys--a fun evening with fun people and well worth a bit of sodium puffiness! emoticon The chips (low fat jalapeņo cheese crunchies from Trader Joe's to be exact)are still calling but there's only about one serving left and they're gone. It is cold and damp this morning. I doubt if I'll persuade myself to go for walking breaks today, but we'll see. Part of it is getting back into the habit. emoticon emoticon emoticon

More rain--I got several flood alert texts and one emergency call in the middle of the night for flash flooding in low lying areas--great way to warn people--I would hate having that creep up on me while I sleep if I was affected--I'm on the higher side of town though--thankfully, so for me it was just interrupted sleep :) I got up a little earlier today though, and got in an extra 10 minutes of walking before I started work!! Yay, me!
Have a great Thursday, everyone!

Happy Thursday! My week is getting progressively better, and things that have needed to be healed up (emotionally) are slowly doing so. I underate again slightly yesterday, but not as much as the day before.

Today I am going to another professional conference and am presenting at it. Lunch is provided, and fortunately I was able to indicate that I want a meat/dairy free meal, so I'm confident enough that I'll be able to eat whatever it is that I am not bringing any back-up plan with me. The conference is at a hotel that is less than half a mile from my house, though, so if worse comes to worse, I can always dip home during the lunch hour. ;)

Have a great day everyone!

Mornin all. Working from home today. I was on the road a half hour and didn't get very far with all the rain we have had. Many road closures. Almost got stuck.

I had and "incident" with red velvet cake last night.

emoticon

Today is a new day. A little worried. I eat better at work than I do at home. Now I am stuck at home all day. Queue the drama music.... Du Du DUUUUUU

I can do this! Happy Thursday!

Good morning. I'm checking in a little later as today was my long walk with dogs and fitness buddy. We left early to try to beat the rain, but we had to cut the walk about 30 min short due to heavy rain and lightning strikes. Warm, though--70 degrees! It's only 65 degrees in my house! That part felt good.

I'm broiling turkey burgers now for lunch. It should be a good day.

I read all the posts, too, either in the evening or in the morning, so I can keep up with all my buddies. Laughing about the pretzels, chips, energy bars, as we all seem to have carb loaded trigger foods that can cause an "incident". Certainly an awareness, though, to keep them at bay so as not to sabotage our maintenance goals.

Hope everyone has a great day!

emoticon Bess! Looking forward to that photo of you in the slinky, summer cocktail dress.

Toni, I laughed about the "incident with chips," too. Had my own "incident" with popcorn last night...not healthy air-popped or minimal oil popcorn but greasy, unhealthy microwave popcorn and lots of it. So glad it's a new day, and I started off with a healthy breakfast.

Hello! Yesterday was my 39th wedding anniversary AND my quarterly library board meeting - so I didn't get to take that day off. Instead I am taking today off to play with Himself. But last night we had a big high-calorie feast. I planned it. I gave myself permission. I tracked it. But my goodness. I will be running all week long to whittle down the calories.

This six week stretch between 3/31 and 5/12 has 4 food festivities - Easter, 2 birthdays and an anniversary - so I'm particularly grateful for the longer days and the opportunity to walk or work-out in the evenings. And soon it will be swimming after work! Once the river warms up. Time to get me some little cousins scheduled for visits. Kids always make sure I go swimming after work. LOL

There was shopping therapy on Tuesday and a slinky fun summer cocktail dress now lives in the closet. A photo op is scheduled for Saturday. I'll share.

Oh - and - the little dog is in her cage with a funnel collar on. She's so sweet tempered she doesn't even try to take it off.

Sliding into the weekend wishing everyone a successful maintaining day.

Good morning. I had the wood floor in my kitchen refinished, and while I was putting everything back yesterday evening, I found the pretzels that I hid. I do not know why I buy them. They are my trigger food. I stopped buying corn chips and potato chips, because I eat too many of them. But somehow pretzels seem so healthy. And while they were honey whole wheat, I probably ate 20 of them. You see I did not plan to eat them, I left them on the counter and had one every few minutes. So it was only 3 ounces and I counted it in my tracker and still did not go over my calories. But I don't like how I feel when I have carbs at night.

So today is a new day and I am starting it right with my exercise bike and planning for zumba class tonight. I brought healthy snacks and food with me to work; and they are already tracked.

So I am back on track, hopefully and lesson learned. No shopping in the snack aisle for me.

Good day, team. I just ready all of yesterdays entries because I usually post so early and miss everyone. We are all pulling along so well. I laughed and laughed at your entry, ONEWEIGH..."Had a bit of an incident with chips..." It rang so true to me, this idea of we have incidents, encounters with things we know are TROUBLE. Lately I've been noticing that Kashi bars--which are pretty healthy really--appeal to me a lot like cookies. Hmmmm How many do I really need in the house at one time? Just saying...

I'm trying a new yoga class and going with a friend who is also a fitness instructor. I'm excited to try something new. I am loving a class a week of yoga for stretching out my muscles that get tight from so much walking and elliptical.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!

Toni
