Took advantage of the rain and wind to get in 2 indoor exercise classes today - morning yoga and after work pilates. Also got a walk in with a friend in the wind but between the rain. Walked in the door and it started to pour....lucky me. Am gearing up for another work road trip and besides planning meals so I can take frozen entrées and all the basics, I am hard at work trying to do all the prep. Will likely be busy over the weekend getting ready but they are fun projects so will be worth it. Have a good evening all
Was going to go to the Y and exercise tonight, but there's an open house at a coffee factory that sounds really fun. Hoping for free samples, lol! It got cold again here... maybe it will warm up, and hubby and I will get motivated to take a mini-hike tomorrow or Sunday.
Hi All, I walked my little doggie in the rainy weather today. I need to take him out again. I took Mom out to the grocery store and to the hair dresser. We had a great day. I have salmon to cook tonight after I take the doggie out. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

We too here in NYC had a taste of honey(some soft breezy days and temps in the 60's. Nice walking weather! But now we're back to damp and chilly and we have a no walking day here because it's coming down in buckets!!
Will have to find something else if this doesn't lift soon. Stay healthy and have a great week-end. Have to go "maintain" somewhere .

Happy Friday everyone! I'm sticking to some low-calorie, high-protein food today so that I have room for a little alcohol with co-workers this evening. I did Taebo this morning, and we're going out dancing this evening too, so I think the two are a good combo for keeping my metabolism up today. It is starting to get warm enough not to wear layers here, and a co-worker told me yesterday that I looked "fabulous," which was nice to hear.
Have a great day!

Brrr it sounds cold in the Chicago burbs today!! It's pretty cold here on mid Vancouver Island also, just a tad above freezing, but we've had some pretty good sunny spring days to spark spring enthusiam..
I do feel pretty good about my bargain jeans and can't wait to wear them and shed all the winter layers of clothing and actually "look" thin again. The charity shop where I live is a huge organization called the SOS and it's been supporting town social programs for people of all ages for over 40 years. They purposely keep the prices low and cull and turnover all the donations on a regular basis. I'm sure alot of the other 2nd hand shops buy goods and resell them for higher prices. They do an amazing amout of good in the community. The building is huge.. 2 stories of everything you can imagine and they also hire alot of people and pay fair wages plus good benefits. It's a win, win situation for all!! I could spend hours and hours in there!! They also encourage volunteer work in 4 hour shifts for those wanting to help out. Lots of seniors volunteer..
To those of you not feeling well... get better soon!
Michelle, you're my hero this week! I finished off my crave candy yesterday and then my husband said, "You have to try one of the Magnum caramel bars!" He usually doesn't do that sort of thing, but I did have one (350 calories!) and it was good. We went out to the boat to do some puttering and tinkering. I made measurements for the curtains. Looking forward to the weekend, even though the weather is going to be icky. I was cold all day yesterday, so today I wore another layer of clothes. Weight still too high...but I'm not giving up, not giving in!
Happy to say that my cravings have been at bay for two weeks now, and I'm only .4 over my goal weight! It's a good day!! Started my morning with about a mile walk around the indoor track at work (I should do this every day...I just need to get myself ready and to work earlier). Looking forward to a slight uptick in temps on Sunday--maybe it won't be raining, and we'll get a walk squeezed in.
Happy Friday, all!!

A gigantic THANK YOU to all of you who selected me as a spark motivator. What a compliment! I've got the biggest grin on my face. Love you all.
I'm better today but still a little wobbly so I decided to take today off too. No need to give my germs to my wonderful employees. Besides, Himself picked up some work for me that I can do at home. Some extra nap time will work wonders. And next week I'll be back on my feet, which I hope will be back on the elliptical.
Happy Friday!!! Yes, another cold, dreary day in the Chicago burbs. I keep reminding myself spring will get here. Must have patience.
Congrats on the kids jeans Thomasina!
I stayed under my calorie range yesterday for the first time in a long time and that was even with a little Dairy Queen action! After dinner I did the SP cardio kick video, then a seated upper body strength training video, then a couple stretching videos!
Taking it easy tonight. Tomorrow I'm doing a 4-mile tragic events touring run of the city with my daughter. It's not a timed race, we run around to different points of interest and hear historical stories of the tragedies that happend there. Should be fun. Hopefully it won't be too chilly.
Another cold and dreary day here in Chicago suburbs....may even get some snow flurries tonight or tomorrow night. Going to meet with a friend for a little speed work after work tonight and then tomorrow afternoon/evening work (volunteering with a local NPO setting up community gardens tomorrow morning). Finally say the scale budge a little this morning. Hope it stays on that track.

With the bedroom furniture moved into the living room and stuff everywhere fit the flooring project, I have to find all my workout stuff in order to get to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. So I better scoot.
