Just checking in, don't get the time to post often but I do read what you have to say. I am encouraged by everyone's efforts to maintain. I am still at my goal weight, have been for a couple of months now. Experimenting with calorie intake and exercise trying to find that balance. I do find it hard not to eat to the upper limit of the calorie range. My mental talk is "go ahead, you can afford it, you're at goal weight, you made it, go ahead, eat..." I haven't gone that route very often yet but there are days for sure..... At any rate, I'm hovering at my goal weight, weighing in every week to check, and still exercising every day. Hopefully I have reached that point where my habits are automatic, my responses are controlled and I can have some freedom knowing I can balance calories with exercise to maintain my goal. Have a good night everyone, sleep well.

I took Mom out to the store and she had pain in her leg. It is difficult for her to get in and out of the car. I took her to the doctor's and I bought a heating pad for her pain. I have been giving her Tylenol for her pain. It was not giving her much relief. I hope the heat will help her with the pain. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Yes. Cardio, core, weights, two Sparkpeople videos, stretching. Yesterday I had three plus hours of paddling, both in an 1 man outrigger canoe and a 20 man dragonboat.

Hope you find some great new clothes options at the Charity Shop Thomasina. My favourite place to shop!!! Rainy and windy here today so I am hunkering down to get a few work projects completed. My day is clear of any meetings or other distractions so hoping I can get my workshop planned for next week and the presentation of my research finds on a project well underway for presentation next week as well. I am on the road starting Tuesday next week so have started planning and freezing leftovers to take with me to the suite where I stay...saves on my budget and makes sure I don't end up eating too much. Had a great gathering with friends last night and am looking forward to today. Have a great day all!!

Good Morning everyone!
Today I am going to check out our local charity shop and see if they have anything good. I need some smaller clothes in the worse way but just don't have enough $'s right now for a new spring wardrobe.
Then it's groceries and bike day..

Really would have loved to sleep in today--I love staying in bed when it's raining--thundering :) I hope it clears off after work today though--have more yard work I'd like to get done, but if not, I've got a to-do list for inside too. Squeezing in an ST session @ Y after work today too--that's the plan anyway. Weight is still creeping down :) I like to see that. I'll be back at goal in no time at this rate. Have a great day everyone!

Do I have to get up? Oh yeah, I'm already at work. Yesterday was another busy day at work. When I got home I didn't feel like doing anything but sit and veg on the couch with the cats. In spite of that, I had a hard time sleeping and then was awakened at 4 by a crash in another room (wrestling cats). My pedometer is having issues. When I checked it yesterday afternoon it said I'd only done 3000 some steps and it was 4 AM, so something's screwy, even with the new battery. Hoping for a better day.

Good morning. I am still working on how much to eat. It seems to be okay, because I am staying about the same. I did cardio and pilates yesterday. Did cardio this morning and plan a ST workotu tonight.

Oh Ouch Celia.
I know the feeling.
Here's my trick for dealing with the annual physical. I schedule it at O Dark Thirty - as soon as the dr. will let me in. and as soon as that's done I go to the nicest restaurant in town and have a luxury breakfast. I don't count calories or points or fat or anything and I N D U L G E.
Might work for you.

Good day yesterday...until the evening. Got in a long, brisk walk, finished (finally) my trip report, saw the IT guy was trying to fix my computer, saw those beautiful cherry blossoms around the Tidal Basin, cooked something healthy for dinner. Then the realization hit that I would not get to eat from after dinner until after my annual physical today. That set off an attempt to keep "dinner" going as long as possible. It was not pretty.

Incredibly hectic day at work yesterday, followed by a delightful, but painful run with a dear friend. Capped it off with a bowl of black bean soup at Panera. Today at work doesn't look like it will be any easier, and fitness will be abs or yoga...then early to bed. Legs couldn't handle anything more after 8+ miles yesterday.

Good morning everyone.
Maree – vacations are sooo sweet. I have a mini one planned for when I can do 25 deep push-ups. Mid week 2 day stay at Virginia Beach with girlfriend! Kellie – that rest day is the day you get stronger – so rest away. Oh Toni – lucky girl to see the cherry blossoms – but hey! Wait! They're blooming in my yard too – or rather the peach blossoms are. Look much the same but pinker and without that spicy scent.
We live on a farm and when we eat peaches we just toss the pits out into the woods tat rims the yard. I have now have dozens of peach trees all over the place. They aren't hybrids so they're small and sometimes bitter, sometimes delicious with very little peach but oh so many pink blossoms. You just never know what's going to happen down on a farm.
I was really draggy yesterday. Himself evidently caught a flu bug because Monday night he was up every hour – and so was I. Yesterday was one long slog. I noticed that I was not eating my best – not exactly junk food but sort of tasteless stuff served at a lunch-time meeting. I think, next month, I'll see if we can serve something a little nicer. Getting to the gym helped a bit but I completely faded at 9. Got a great night's sleep, though and I'm ready to hop out into the ---- What's this!?! NINETY degree weather? Wait! I know I said I was sick of cold but ... where's my springtime?
Happy Hump Day to you all.

I am with you on loving the warm weather, Maree. And Kellie, hey, don't knock those towels. Sometimes it's the little things (-: Hope you both want the same color though!!!
I have a pretty free day today. I'm not sure how that happened, but it is timely. The cherry blossoms are at peak in Washington DC so I am going to have my husband drop me off at the Tidal Basin on his way to work in the city and I'll spend the morning walking under those pink clouds of blossoms. It will be a Spark-full time because I'll need to catch the subway home and walk more at my home end.
Make it a good day, team.

It looks like everyone had a positive day yesterday. I got one walking break in at work yesterday, then went for another brisk walk with the dog after work.
Then ST with the trainer! Oy vey! I'll be hurting later. I'm gonna need a rest day. Hopefully I can get my two walking breaks in at work.
DH and I are planning shopping for new towels tonight. I am SO exciting!

Good morning! We are sure enjoying these 60 to 70 degree days. Thunderstorms are supposed to be moving in today. I feel like I'm on a fast-track treadmill at work, trying to get the deadline and routine small stuff done so I can work on the big project. Ugh. I'm resolving to plan a vacation to recharge my batteries.
Headed to gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class.
Hope you all have a fabulous day!!
