What a great day! Spring has finally arrived in Indiana. Why does it seem that one great Spring day and the to-do list suddenly gets much longer.
I helped my husband split, load and unload two wagons of firewood. We estimated each piece of firewood is about 10-15 lbs. I like workouts that have multiple results. Then, I got the shovel out and transplanted about 200 (I didn't count, but it was many) daffodils in my little woods behind the cabin and around the pond.
Eating was under control---fruit and yogurt, then stir fry w/chicken for lunch and chicken stew for dinner, and later popcorn for my snack. Weight (roll my eyes)? 125-131-134-128-133-130
Babysitting 5 of my grand kids tomorrow--wish me luck! I am expecting a great workout tomorrow too! lol
Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

I have maintained again this week! I started my maintenance from my first anniversary with SP. March 16. So I've been up & down a little, but happy to be hovering! 3 weeks! I am defiantly a 'newbie"! Love the new lifestyle I have chosen! Thanks for all YOUR support!

Hi all and Happy Friday!! Had a rigorous yoga class this morning ...working on holding the more challenging poses for 2 breaths longer each session. Am great at some and others are just feeling out of my range. Don't have a lot of good upper body strength and not inclined to weight lifting. Have signed up for a pilates class to help strengthen my core ...hoping this helps :) I am the oldest in this class and can definitely see the change in my stamina compared to the 30 year olds in the group but will keep on trucking now that I am the ripe old age of 60
Got up early for a run. Took the girls to school and then went back to the house to put dinner in the slow cooker. The couch was calling my name so sweetly that I laid down and dozed for about 30 minutes. Now I'm gonna be in a haze the rest of the morning *yawn*
We have poker tonight and tomorrow. Going to be on my best behavior and not drink/eat too much.

I'm feeling better this morning as the fluid retention is gone this morning and my weight down to 108. I've been having digestive issues lately and have been tryiing out digestive enzymes as the acid reducer pills the doc gave me had horrid side effects. So far so good..
Hurray for Friday! Feeling a bit better today so far. My husband's sailboat is ready to be picked up from the boatyard, so of course the weather is supposed to be stormy this weekend. My weight is still high but coming down from earlier in the week. I just have to be sure not to undo all my good intentions over the weekend.

Morning everyone! I'm looking forward to a fun appreciation day at work - we are getting free massages (by a professional) and other goodies. The only downside is that our lunch is a surprise. One of my gym buddies is the one organizing the lunch, and she has promised me that it is a healthy meal that fits my dietary restrictions, so I am just going to have to trust that! Just in case, I planned my other meals for the day to be low calorie and high protein, since my biggest problem with eating out or food being provided is it is high calorie with little protein for me (since I don't eat meat or dairy). If it does end up being lower calorie than I budgeted for, I'll have a snack when I get home.
Anyway, time to do some Bollywood dancing for my morning workout. Have a happy Friday all!

I woke up to a pretty day. I am heading for the garden today and I am ready after a great yoga class yesterday. Now it is time to divide my day lilies. I have the day off so am looking forward to the time outside. Feeling energized from all the positive messages that came my way yesterday. Thanks, team.

So glad it's Friday, and I'm happy to see the sun! The fitness center at work has a 5K run/walk scheduled for noon today, and I have my T-shirt ready to go. There was talk of postponing the event to Monday based on an earlier forecast of rain today, but the rain has moved out. So glad, because I have a conflict Monday and can't participate then.
Good ST session with my trainer yesterday. I didn't have a spectacular success like Bess, but I did manage a small one, so I'm feeling good.
that's how I feel today and I'm wishing that same great feeling to everyone.
Had the absolutely most amazing experience working with the personal trainer yesterday. He's guiding me carefully into weight lifting and yesterday I pushed through a barrier to lift more and longer than I've ever done before. It was a fabulous experience. So much so I am still feeling the high from it. I'm even considering scheduling 2 sessions a week with him for a while as I transition to a new level. have to check the bank account first.
I'm always super hungry the rest of the day and deliberately eat more calories on Thursdays. Funny how careful I am of the quality of those calories that day - a lot more than on other days. Maybe this is something I need to examine more thoroughly.
Altogether, though, I'm still within my weekly calorie/points limit. I monitor both daily and weekly totals because no two days are alike but if they average out over the week I figure fluctuations are alright. And now it's Friday and the weekend lies ahead - with the promise of 70 degree weather at last.

Great day yesterday and looking for one today too. Headed to gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. I'm looking forward to lunch with a high school girlfriend. I'm excited about the weekend at the houseboat and we may head over this afternoon. SO looking forward to it. Wish you could all join me!!
