Had a great and very busy day...many projects on the go but still managing to get my walk in and make sure I take time away from my computer to eat. I work from home so can get immersed! Noticed today that I was a little more relaxed about eating and actually had some cookies today...the first in a very long time....and found them a little too sweet and definitely less satisfying. They did not impact my nutritional count for the day so I feel less ripped off wasting a food choice on them (who would have heard me say that 3 months ago!!!) Happy Wednesday all!!
I've been waking up earlier a lot myself of late. Maybe I'll sleep in a little better tomorrow. The kids are on spring break, for goodness sakes! I just wake up and feel a bit manic, just want to get up and work on my new blog rather than think nice, calm thoughts of falling back asleep. I was able to grab a nap for about an hour this afternoon.
better late than never, glad i decided to skip boot camp. just found out they cancelled class b/c the instructer hurt his back. I was suppose to go go running w/my buddies but it was way too cold so I met a buddy at the gym and I used the stationary bike for almost an hour. Tried a new crockpot recie tonight w/chicken, cream of mushroom soup, cream cheese, ranch dressing as well as corn, salad and rice on the side. Yummy!!

My body is slower to regulate itself after the excesses of the weekend, but I am down some. I'm going to keep reining it in, though to get back to where I need to be. I'm hoping that the longer days and new projects will help me get back the spark I've lost over the past month or so.
I love the sun!! It's nice to see it. I haven't been having great days lately as far as food goes--and I've been struggling with the blues, so the sun is such a welcome sight. Off to see my doctor again today to re-evaluate my HRT decision.

Morning everyone! I've been staying on the low end of my calorie range this week and completing all of my workouts. This morning is some core ST and the gym this afternoon. Tonight's our weekly veggie sushi party, which I always look forward to.
About 26 or 28 calories over my max today, but I've walked over 10,000 steps, so I feel okay. Plus now that we're not on the train, I can do my ST in the morning. (I just can't manage leg lifts, crunches, etc. on a moving train, LOL!)

My jet lag is officially gone, so I'm finding it harder to get up again. It would help if I'd go to bed earlier, I know, but the last two days have been long ones, so I didn't even get to dinner until 8:00 or after. To accommodate my early alarm, I should be in bed by 8:30, but that's just not happening.
I finally stayed in my calorie range yesterday, but I didn't do anything for fitness. Really need to get out for a walk today and start breaking in my new shoes. The old ones went to the Soles for Souls campaign last week. Thank goodness New Balance ships fast, though I wish they'd had the same model I wore out. It's really hard shopping for shoes with my wide, triangle-shaped feet, so I stick to NB shoes built on an SL-2 last.
Yesterday was official weigh-in for me and I am one month at goal - My first ever. Feeling so pleased with myself.
This is an optimal week with no weird night meetings or trips out of town so I can follow my favorite work-out schedule. I'm also striving to reach a goal of 25 full body deep push-ups in a set. I've NEVER been able to do deep push-ups but I find now that they're a great way for me to work my core without straining my back. When I reach that goal, I'm treating myself and my girlfriend to 2 days at the beach and a night with a waterfront hotel room. figure - June, probably, maybe July - but we'll go on a week day when the crowd will be a wee bit smaller.

Good morning. Maree, it must be something in the air because I got up too early too. Part of it is energy and wanting to start my day, but really, I could use a few more hours! Excited for you that you get to open your boat.
I'm loving all the fresh produce in the markets right now, and the longer days. Last night my husband and I took a stroll--extra mile or so--just at dusk. Lovely way to spend time.
My son has his own spark-like energy. While disappointed his injury stops him from two things he longer to get to (white water canoe rescue and climbing, his passion) he told me he wasn't going to dwell on it but learn what he could from leaders at base camp. I love his resilience. I'm glad his dad and I can back him to get those experiences when he's healed and finished with school.

Good morning! I'm up too early, only 6 hrs of sleep last night. Lots of discussion about holiday weight gain on the boards this week. My scale Monday morning said I gained 3.5 lbs. Tuesday and today that 3.5 lbs is gone. When you consider the 3500 calories it takes to gain or lose one pound, I can only conclude that something else is responsible for the number and that my body's waste elimination process will catch up to reveal my true weight.
I'm eating more fish and lean meats this week and tracking more carefully. Adding an extra 30 min walk to enjoy the spring sunshine and longer days. I'm headed to the gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. Might try the technique of 10 seconds all out running with 10 seconds recovery for 4 min.
I'm getting excited about opening up the houseboat this weekend!!
