All the more reason to maintain...
Yesterday I had my dress alteration for my wedding gown. They had to take it in quite a bit since I lost weight since I first bought it. And I don't want to continue paying to have it taken in anymore. And I certainly dont want to deal with what would happen if I gained anymore weight!
So, good incentive to just maintain right now. I know I could still lose a bit more, but I am comfortable where I am and that's all that matters!
Didn't do much for fitness today, drove back from VT to MA, then took a teaching test. And now we're off to bed for a 6am appt for my fiance in the AM.

I did 60 minutes of Insanity Max Circuit and boy are my abs sore. Insanity really works all of the muscle groups! Each day is a different workout, but they all hit the major muscle groups!
We had a spaghetti fundraiser at church for the youth's mission trips. It was four hours of being on my feet going "everywhere." At one point, I was getting really hot! I'm taking that as a mini workout!

Had family in town visiting for the past few days and it was a friend's birthday. It was a lot of eating out and drinking. I'm looking forward to being back on track today.

Good Morning All! I get to groom my sister's Standard Poodle today so I'm sure that's all the exercise I'll be able to handle. I am doing great on day 7 of my Eating Clean cooler 1. Proud of myself! First time I stuck with it the whole 7 days! Wishing all a wonderful day!

I am heading back home from vacation so need to find my routine again. I have some Spark-coaching coming so will use that and then declare "maintenance". I am down to 150 or so from a high of 186 and I seem to be "stuck" at 150. I'd like to sit at 145 but I am about ready to say "here" is fine!
Also facing jet lag--3 hours is a long time! I will adjust quickly though--I hope!

Amanda--When I tried steel cut oats in the rice cooker the first time I had a mess with boil-over. If you try it, make sure you make a small amount! I'm posting a loss for the week, although my weight has been all over the map. I'm hoping to be more stable next week and keep on the downward trend.

I'm off to the veggie market in search of good produce prices. They are much better than our chain grocery stores.. Then it's walk the dogs and yoga day..

Good morning ladies. Eating oatmeal and drinking coffee. Tried making rolled oats in my rice cooker. Easy and delicious! If you have a rice cooker you have to try it! Wanted to make steel cut oats, but the grocery store was out.
I swam laps yesterday for the first time in ages. It was amazing!! As a runner, I often think I'm invincible, but that pool showed me who was boss. Going to try to do it twice a month and work up from there.
Need to get some housework done today. Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning pretty ladies, I'm up early looking forward to help my daughters get ready for church this morning. One is doing a reading and they are both singing at both palm Sunday services. I had fun helping them finding matching dresses & accessories at the mall yesterday w/the family. Exhausting but fun since we had to go to 4 different stores before they could find a dress we all agreed looked good. Pretty cold and sunny here. Wishing you all an awesome & restful Sunday.

I, too, cherish those peaceful days of rest. Finding that place sometime each day, even if only for an hour or less, keeps me in balance most of the time.
Beautiful, warm (50 degrees), sunshiney day yesterday for Granddaughter to run around outside with the little neighbor girls and a nice party at SIL's last night. Slept really good after a nice meal with more calories than usual. Today I'm starting a concerted effort to track nutrition better so I can better analyze quality and quantity of calories (thanks for input, Toni and Amanda).
Fresh snowfall of an inch or so, with more to come, so may be a day of rest from exercise for me, other than chasing the Granddaughter :))) -- good ST workout too!

Hey kids! I had a productive day yesterday but then had a few too many sweets at the baby shower I attended. So I kept active when I got home and had a small salad for dinner.
DH and I are going our labrador at the doggie spa and then going for breakfast at our favorite spot, then some grocery shopping.
I'm going to take it easy today, just a few minutes on the elliptical and my bicycle which is mounted in the house. This will satisfy a couple squares on my March health challenge card at work.
Irene, you snuggle up and enjoy the day, staying safe. Toni, enjoy your relaxing day! Bess, sounds like a nice you have planned being creative.Logould, enjoy your run and have a fun rest of the day.

Winters conditions led to a free day. Even church was canceled which is unheard of. It's not there is a lot if snow here but minus 7 over night which then made frozen snow , very dangerous. Even our usual Sunday dinner with family is postponed till tomorrow. My contribution is a big lemon and orange trifle but it will keep another day. So as I had unexpected free time I was smacking up greetings cards. I do cross stitch sections which I attach to cards later and trim them up to make unique cards . Most I give away as birthday gifts. A pack of assorted greeting cards is always welcome, I did do my 20 minutes exercise early but no walking till the wintery conditions improve. Hello Toni - I sure know what you mean about a day of rest.
Saturday is my housework day - long held tradition from my childhood. It seems no matter when I start I finish at 2 o'clock. De-clutter, dust, laundry, vacuum and mop. It's amazing how many calories I can burn on Saturday. My little dog with the (now healing) broken leg insisted on helping everybody yesterday so we took her for 2 walks to let her know she's just as important as that noisy old vacuum. I'm always excited when I hit Sunday and there are some extra points/calories in my weekly budget. It means I'm making good food choices. This morning there are plenty of 'em. Yay!
Bad weather is on the way but I'm prepared to hunker down with my new drawing book and a stack of drawing paper. Hope you all have something wonderful to do on this sweet Sunday.

Moning Toni and team! Enjoy your day, Toni. I'm learning to appreciate those days when I CAN pace myself. It feels wonderful to get things done, but still end the day feeling more rested. That's not in my cards today though. Heading out the door now for an early morning meeting at work....then, gonna get a run in early since I'll have some time before church. Good thing I go to a casual church, 'cause I can go right from the run to the service and I'll be home and ready to transition into the slower paced part of the day before 11AM! Then I can start planning for next week which is going to be crazy busy with Easter and extra obligations serving at church plus family coming in from out of town. Glad I thought ahead and took a couple of vacation days for the weekend coming up! Have a marvelous Sunday everyone!

Happy Sunday, everyone!
I'm up early realizing I need a day of rest. Of quiet. Of slower movement. I am pretty sure I will take a long energetic walk at some point today or jump on the elliptical. But for awhile, I need a peace and quiet time.
I love all the "doing" we encourage in one another on Spark. So today I am going to work on "pacing" all my doing.
