I went to the thrtapy pool today and did 1/2 hour of walking and 1/2 hour of water aerobics. Then I did my strength training exercises. All in all it was over 120 minutes. I have the fitbit but of course you can't wear it in the water. What is ActiveLink?

I love SparkPeople

I have an active link too - I seriously love it. I followed their suggested 12 week goal the first time and I learned a lot about building activity into my life. It's amazing how that little 1 mile walk in the morning or walking the mail to the post office adds up to activity points. I've always worked out at the gym but now I fit in more movement - more walks, more little dances in the kitchen when nobody's looking.

I do like it when I've met my daily goal and all the little lights twinkle for me. I hope you try one - I think they're wonderful.

Hi All, I walked my little doggie twice today and walk him two more times today. I took Mom out to the grocery store so she gets her exercise. I missed Tai Chi this morning because I was too late. Best wishes, Linda from bean town emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I have the WW pedometer, and I love it too! I used it religiously for the longest time, but I haven't had it on for months--it's hard to wear when I where a dress especially--my daughter always teased me about being able to see it thru my clothes--I like that this device can be more incognito :) I have my meeting tonight, and I've been toying with the idea of getting one for a few weeks now--the pedometer was so motivating to me when it would beep :)
Thanks for the feedback!

Got my workout in yesterday--I got to the gym a little later than normal, but my routine wasn't disrupted too much. Loving the possibility of warmer temps tomorrow--maybe I'll be inspired to walk to the gym for my strength training--or maybe ride my bike.

Yesterday was my rest day from Insanity. I'm taking an extra day for two reasons. One I'm really sore in my lower back and number two I got my hair dyed.

I'll admit I feel really WEIRD that I'm not doing Insanity...I guess I am crazy. The new Max workouts are 60 minutes long with lots of jumping, push ups, and squats. It's a great workout, but many have to modify it a bit.

SparkPeople raised my calories by 300. I'm sure it's due to my workouts, but I'm really nervous to eat that much more when I've been maintaining with my "weight loss range." I was really hungry yesterday and did eat at the higher end of my new range. It probably wasn't the best food choices as we had birthday party food left over, but I hadn't eaten "junk food" for a long time!

I'll see how the scale looks tomorrow morning. I may be lowering that range right back where it was!

Definitely COLD here in Memphis this morning.

I had an AWESOME strength training session this morning. Every muscle felt like overcooked spaghetti and they were SHAKING because they were spent. That makes me happy. Tonight, it's supposed to be cold and rainy, possibly snowy, so I have cold/rain gear in case my Thursday night workout group decides to run tonight, and I have my regular workout gear if the run is cancelled, so I can still get a run in at the track in my gym.

Food wasn't so good yesterday...but I'm bouncing back today. After my run tonight, it will be an early evening...I'm beat after last night's late evening with the girls. Looking forward to this weekend, when I plan to hit the zoo, one of the local museums and do a little shopping.

Have a great day, everyone!

Weight going down! I hope I don't undo it all tonight when I go out with my sisters-in-law. We normally order whatever looks good on the menu and share, so it's always completely untrackable. The kitten didn't pounce my feet until just before the alarm clock was due to go off this morning, so that was a plus. emoticon Make it a great Thursday!

Good morning team!

Did well with food and fitness yesterday. Today is strength training day. Didn't workout this morning, but look forward to doing a dumbbell routine while I watch tv with DH tonight. I get so bored watching tv so doing my ST instead of just vegging will be nice. And so was the extra hour of sleep this morning!!

I wasn't very productive at work yesterday, so I will step up today and get some things done. Hate to rub it in, but the high is going to be 74 degrees today. I'm wearing a short sleeve top. And the wind isn't even going to be too bad! Everyone have a great day!

Hello Krystal - here's a tip I got from a co-worker that helps keep me motivated to work out.

Any time I find myself asking myself "Do I go home or do I go to the gym? Home? Gym?" then I KNOW I have to go to the gym. If I really need to do something besides exercising, I know I do and never have to ask myself. If I'm wavering, I'm just shirking. and 100% of the time, I feel better if I go work out.

Hope this helps.

Good morning. I got some cardio in today and will do zumba tonight. The next 3 weeks are really challenging because of Passover, no wheat, oats, corn, bran, soy, barley, rice, legumes, beans, lentils, pasta, bread. Only matzo and potatoes. So making low calorie choices difficult, plus a lot of meals with loads of food. I am hoping to stay close to south beach. I will also not be able to do major exercise for 4 of the days, I hope to take long walks, to get cardio in.

Have a great day.

First time posting to this thread on here. I think it may help as I've been a little slack lately.

I'm trying to get back into my routine. I was doing so good for awhile and then all of a sudden my drive for exercise went down. I'm still eating well, which is good, but the fitness is lacking. I've been doing bare minimum stuff, which I know is better than nothing, I just feel "lazy," when I don't do a lot.

I'm heading up to my hometown tomorrow night and doing a lot of stuff this weekend, where I'll try and fit in at least 15mins of exercise each day. Hopefully getting back into a routine next week will help. This weeks been a bit crazy.

Have a good day!

I feel just like you, Maree - I am SO tired cold weather. It's the end of March and here in Virginia for every day we get above 50 we get 2 in the 40's. How about some normal?

Got to the gym yesterday and every elliptical machine was in use - who ARE these people? LOL Often, and especially on Wednesdays when there's an open paddle ball game, I have my pick of machines and yesterday I had to use one of the bicycles. At least I got to put on the TV channel of my choice. Made a tofu jambalaya for dinner - even Himself liked it. Today it's strength training with the personal trainer. I am SO in love with my gym.

Thanks Celia. You're the best. emoticon

I had some challenges yesterday but I made it a good day. My son came over for dinner and we had a nice chat. I'm very proud if the man he has become.

I overdid it on dinner but during the day I did very well nutritionally and got two 15 min brisk walks in. I plan on the same walking breaks today then tonight maybe a run at the gym or SP videos, we'll see how I feel.

Thinking warm springtime thoughts!

I will miss starting the day in Bangkok, Celia. Just hearing about it has warmed me up! I am driving north to see a friend's paintings in a gallery and just got her snow warning. I know I will go. Suspect whatever snow we get will be quick to melt. It IS getting a bit warmer. Isn't it!!??

Had a good day at yoga yesterday. My long time teacher is leaving which made me sad, but she has recommended another place and I think it will be fine. I do not want to abandon yoga!

I do not yet have the courage to pack away my wool, Maree, but you have started me thinking... My ski jacket still feels really fine when I go to the grocery store. (-:.

Make it a great day, everyone!

Oooo, so early! Getting ready to leave in a few minutes to volunteer at the local readio station downtown, then work. Have healthy snacks packed and am feeling pretty good about my workout time with my friends yesterday. Nutritionally I did well too, so, even though there will be no time for much fitness today, I'm considering the week a success. If I have time, I will try to do somoe time (10 mins or so) on the treadmill or exercycle when I get home just to not break this streak. Tomorrow will be kettlebells and Zumba after work.

Good morning! With wind chill, it's about 6 degrees outside so my fitness buddy cancelled our long walk this morning. Celia, think how refreshing this brisk fresh air shall feel after your balmy travels. Ha! Last year at this time we had record-breaking 80+ degree weather. I would be SO happy with "normal" temps... sigh. I'm SO in need of a reprieve of some kind, ... a vacation, a sabbatical, retirement ... but would settle for some warm weather and sunshine. I tried wearing a (somewhat) spring-like outfit yesterday to celebrate the first day of spring on the calendar and lift my spirits. I think I'll put the wool away as my personal revolt against this lingering winter weather.

I don't feel like taking the cyclefit class, so my alternative of choice this morning will be the elliptical and a fairly new bicycle machine at the gym. I'm up way too early so I have some time to decide--donated blood last night after work so was looking forward to a walk to kinda take it easier. I'm attending a luncheon today, and looking forward to some positive energy.

Hoping for a great day for all!

Hi on Thursday . There were snow, showers all yesterday but none stayed around!
An old friend came to visit, we had such a good chat. She also brought two bags full of cross stitch magazines I shall enjoy looking at those.
We went for lunch to our local coffee shop. I had an omelette and salad which I enjoyed.
My friend B is lonely and she enjoyed the company and chat time too..
So into Thursday now to see what that brings, Enjoy your day.

Thanks for the warning, Toni. My DH told me snow is forecast again! Kelli, I'll try to bring some warmth back with me.

I am looking forward to getting back to my routine. Have not even tried tracking during this trip, but it's good that there is an abundance of fruits and veggies. Really glad I let my weight slide down before the trip, because the scale in my hotel room (how thoughtful of them) has NOT gone in the right direction.
