Got up this morning with an awful lot of nervous energy. Did the dishes as water calms me down. Then I did the laundry, just the bedding and sent my homemaker to do the little bit of grocery shopping. Tomorrow I think I am going to go to the aquatic center in the morning and exercise in the water. See if I can get rid of some of this nervous energy doing that.

The snow is melting very slowly because the temperature was in the high 30s. I would love to clean but I am not motivated. The weather is cold but sunny. It is not warm outside. I walked the doggie and did the laundry. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

It sounds like everyone is anxious for Spring to arrive WITH Spring! Ahh, it will get here soon enough, in the meantime, I am planning my new crop of salad and table greens to plant in the garden. Going to expand my horizons and try some new things. We usually do sugar snap peas, radishes, onions, and a couple different greens, usually spinach and a couple lettuces for our early garden, but this year I want to expand. Later, when it gets warm I want to plant some vegetable spaghetti squash. We planted some last year but only got 2 squashes. I haven't tried eggplant in years (I didn't like it then) so going to give it another chance.
Yesterday, I felt as though I had returned to normal (135 my target) on my weigh-in. Today, I am down to 132! Haven't seen that in a week or so. I have only seen 131 one time (I weigh daily) a couple months ago, but obviously my calories/exercise level maintains 132 or above. I am very happy with this range, especially when I get in a little better physical condition.
Day 6 of exercise is good to go so far--walking and jump rope. Day 5 kind of bombed. I did it, but only put in about 1/2 the time I have been--I just got busy. I want this to be sustainable, so am not going to panic. I've been aiming for an hour to 1 1/2 hr. altogether even though I usually do two or three different sessions for different types of exercises.
Trying tofu for the first time today . . . I am not even sure how to use it or if I even like it, so looking up some recipes.

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

I got through yesterday! It was my first born's 18th birthday! I still got in 60 minutes of Insanity Max Cardio and boy am I sore today! My lower back and my butt hurt!!!! I don't mind the butt, but I wish I could figure out which move hurts my back!
Today is my rest day. It got a little jumbled, but I may take two. I'm getting my hair done today and I like the color to "sit" for a day or two before washing it! My treat to myself for getting through 37 days of Insanity.
Wasn't as productive last evening but did OK on food. We finished off the chocolate pie...glad to have it out of the fridge. Happy Spring, even though for most of us it doesn't look much like it today!
Did okay nutritionally yesterday - not great, started that slippery slide last night when they brought food into work. If I had stuck with the lemon baked chicken (I removed the skin), it would've been better, but the bread almost took me over the high end of my range. Back on track today though. Hoping to do two work outs...a run and then some circuit training with some friends, but may only make the circuit training. Tomorrow I am volunteering with the local radio station for their fundraising drive and then off to work right from there so there will most likely be no workout tomorrow. Friday night will be kettlebells and Zumba. Can't think any further ahead than that. Hope the rest of you enjoy the rest of your week!

Had a great day yesterday overall...the first great day food and exercise-wise in a LONG time. I think that now that the first half marathon is over and it really isn't that daunting a task, it's a huge weight that lifted off my shoulders.
I'm back down to my midpoint of my range, and working on heading down to the low end before my trips to Anaheim and Pittsburgh at the end of April and beginning of May respectively.
It's supposed to be a "cold" week in Memphis (40s and 50s as highs), but that means great runs first thing in the morning...give me 30 degrees weather over 80 degree weather anytime when I'm heading out for a run! Today, I got another run in (decided to switch to the Hal Higdon Intermediate half marathon training program after using the Marathon Rookie one for my first HM) as well as a great swim. Tonight, it's happy hour with the girls. Planning on drinking seltzer water, but I do have some room for a glass of wine if I so choose.

Morning everyone! It looks like it will be another nice day here, though not quite as warm as Monday, so I may have to be inside at the gym instead of hiking outside like I did on Monday. I'm about to do some core ST to start my day off.
I've been feeling pretty snacky too. I've got some pre-planned snacks today like a banana, a bottle of kombucha, and soy yogurt with granola; hopefully that will keep me satisfied.

Lynn, I have been very hungry too...today I am committed to not reaching for junk when I feel hungry. If I'm really hungry, I have lots of veggies and a cup of yogurt to choose from.

Way to go Besshaile wearing bright colors. Excellent idea! Nice to see everyone doing well. Helps me refocus. Had a really downer day yesterday so I'm working on snapping out of it. Always nice to read all of your posts for a ray of sunshine!
I should get my two walks in at work today. My son is coming over for dinner tonight so not sure if I'll be able to fit anything in tonight. We shall see. Happy Hump Day everyone!

Good morning. Wow, I slept well, didn't wake up once. Different routine last night, as we had dinner with friends--a lot more starch than I normally eat, so although I had small portions, it was more substantial than what I usually eat and I skipped my several cups of hot herbal tea. DH suggested I eat like that all the time to sleep better, but I told him I'd be 400 lbs in a flash. Pretty dramatic, huh? It's a struggle for me to maintain this stupid 20-25 lb loss.
Gym for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class this morning. Since I overslept I broke my scale streak since I weight first thing before exercising. I suppose I could weigh now, but I'll just wait until tomorrow. I'll need to restrict today to make up for yesterday.
Okay, I'm outta here. Hope you all have a great Wednesday!
In my "happy" range for calories, and walked over 8000 steps. Getting ready for a two-day train trip, so re-packing. Plus mended my go-to black pants so I can wear them tomorrow. Now I'm just waiting for the laundry to dry so I can finish re-packing and go to bed before midnight!

Yesterday dawned so bleak and gloomy I determined to wear my brightest colors - even if I did look a bit like the court jester. It was also the first Weight Watchers meeting I could go to without paying since I rejoined WW. I left my office wearing a coat and arrived at the meeting without needing it. The afternoon bloomed into the prettiest early spring warmth - but SNOW is predicted for next Monday. Got back to the gym for the first time since Thursday - and as always - it felt sooooo good.
We woke up to snow yesterday morning but the 46 degree temp erased it all. This has been a particularly long winter. Welcome home in advance!
I believe in myself, I am a strong woman. I will reach my goals, NOTHING & NOBODY will hold me down. I will live my life with integrity and intention. I will set a good example for my daughters and my son. I will be a woman that makes my grand children proud when they look at pictures of me long after I've left this earth.
Hope your trip home is good, but I wouldn't rush home, Celia. It may be a bit of time before anything like a leaf appears!! It's chilly here, but yesterday we did see the sun.
Had a great "on track" day yesterday except that I ate in restaurants. I didn't over indulge, but the salt content always ups my weight a bit. I know not to panic, but still. It was worth it to be at a workshop where I got some terrific new ideas and met some talented people.
Go slow to go fast.
