What a sunny day but still cold. I did some chores this morning. After lunch I am going to jump into the shower and go grocery shopping. I will walk all the aisles as it is still too cold to walk outside. I usually walk the store first and then do my shopping. I am still not sleeping well so I am not going to do a big shopping trip as I don't feel like climbing 3 flights of stairs with a bunch of groceries.

I hope everyone has a great day.

An absolutely beautiful day, but still too cold for prolonged outdoor activities, beyond getting the wood in and a few minutes to do the jump rope--it is just plain nippy out there.

I am SO excited to be able to say I have exercised consistently for a week--every day!!!!! Yeah for me! lol This is about where I drop off in the past, so hopefully my announcement will keep me accountable. Today, I feel it slightly, but not bad considering my past laziness in exercising. I don't want to be a hit and miss with my exercise--I want to get toned and firm. I realize I will never get the skin tone of a never fat 30 yr old but I got to give it my best shot to make it better and for my own health benifits.

Two days of overeating last week and weekend, shook up my weight about 4 lbs. but today is getting back to normal. Yes, I said NORMAL. (Isn't that great to think of 135 as being NORMAL??? -- so cool!!!!

Have a WONDERFUL day my friends!!!!!

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Hi All, I walked the doggie and shoveled snow this morning. I have to take the doggie outside again. The snow has turned to rain for now. Best wishes on this snowy day before Spring. Linda from bean town

Good afternoon. I plan on zumba and pilates later. I did exercise bike and snow shoveling today. I need to get rid of more too big clothes. My size 8 coat theat was a little snug when I got it fits nicely and feels roomy. So I need t give away more clothes.

I can't wait for the day when people assume I was aloways thin, and I dont get comments on how much I have lost.

Food was on target yesterday, but scale is up a little more today--in fact I'm almost to the top of my 5 under/over window--I'm attributing it to the high sodium meal I had on Sunday, and assuming it's fluid retention--we'll see what the next few days bring.

Hello everyone. I did a Ab workout inside the home and then walked outside. It's a nice day here. Yesterday was in the 90's and today is suppose to be warm. We're still working on finishing up the deck. I'll post some pictures on my spark page. DH is working on his outside kitchen. Today I plan on doing some chores and enjoying this nice weather. Have a great day everyone.

Good Morning everyone.

I've enjoyed the last 2 days being able to get outside and do a little bit of yard cleanup in the afternoon. I have to really pace myself though as it's easy to get really sore with the arthritis.

I got all the little twigs and broken branch bits off the front yard area and now the weatherman tells me another wind storm is due in tonight!!! Oh well, that's mother nature's way..

Have a great day everyone and I like all the talk of culling old clothes that are too big and making room in the closet for new spring outfits!

You'll have to give us a report on your teen fashion talk. I'm sure they'll laugh at what we wore, but they don't realize that in 30 years they'll be laughing at what they're wearing now ("80s Fashion: It Seemed Like a Good Idea at the Time"). I had a fairly productive evening, getting things ready for my last concert on Friday, doing laundry and assorted housework. My weight is down two pounds from yesterday. We're getting a last blast of cold, wet winter weather, but my attitude is looking to Spring. I'm going to get past this rough patch! emoticon

OK, the crazy time at work is done, the half marathon is done, time to get back to my regularly scheduled life!

Sunday was my first ever half marathon...about 3 days after I contracted a cold. Fortunately, I was able to rest and get to about 85-90% and run the race in 2:08:53. I was still in the top half, but not completely happy with my performance. The next time I'll be able to really go balls to the wall for a half marathon will be in November, so I was hoping for a better time. Oh well, nothing I can do about it now.

Yesterday, I spent in bed just relaxing and watching horrible TV. It felt good to have a day off to do NOTHING and not feel sick.

I've still been able to stay in my 155-165 range, albeit more in the top end of it, but still maintaining. Had a great workout this morning and food for the most part has been reasonable.

Back to work. Have a great day, everyone!

Jane

Went thru my clothes and got rid of all of the big stuff. I have been slowly buying Spring and summer clothes. I refuse to wear the heavy sweaters anymore. I want the bright colors of Spring now.

Morning team! Good day all around yesterday - nutritionally, fitness wise, work wise, and some quality time with good friends. What could be better?!? Have a Dr. Appt this morning. Hope it's a quick one so that I can get out in time to make it to a PiYo class...if not, I'll get a few laps around the indoor track. Probably need to see a podiatrist/ortho re: this plantar fasciitis/achilles tendon issue or I'll end up sidelining myself for the running season and i already have my event schedule in place, so I really don't want to do that. Got a bunch of catching up to do tomorrow on my day off in preparation for my baby sis' visit with her family this weekend. I know I won't get it all done, but I'm learning to accept that the best I can do is good enough.

Love me some fashion - though when springtime comes I'm interested in New Fashion rather than fashions of the past. Sunday I dug through about half my warm weather clothes because I knew I was going to go window shopping in the city on Monday. I pulled out every nice thing I've shrunk out of and took them with me to give to my sister when we had lunch. Boy am I glad too - cause I have enough clothes. But I didn't have any flowered skinny jeans. Now I do! emoticon

Good morning team!

Weight starting to come back down from spring break. Good to see a better number on the scale this morning. Got up and did a 50 minute kettlebell dvd. Got a lot of work done yesterday and will have another hectic day today.

Everyone have a terrific Tuesday!

Good morning all! Teen fashions of the past sounds like fun!

I had a good day yesterday. I fought TOM symptoms and did an elliptical workout for the six-month health challenge at work, then did some intense upper body and ab ST. I tried to push myself as hard as my trainer does.

Today will just be walking breaks at work as I have a haircut appointment right after dinner.

BRING ON SPRING!!!

Good morning! Just read today and yesterday's posts here. Feeling the energy you all bring to this thread and absorbing it! We had the grayest day yesterday, but I just kept getting things done starting with a good workout, finishing an essay, and working as well. For a "sweet finish" I started a fire that warmed me and my spirits. So is spring is going to be late, I intend to have more fires!

I for one would love to hear more about teen fashion from the past, Irene. What an interesting topic!

Good morning. I had a pretty good day yesterday. The sun came out mid-afternoon which was a plus. Sunshine in the forecast the next few days but cold. Someday we'll be able to get those spring clothes out!!!

Headed to gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min Pilates class. Dinner at friends tonight.

I hope everyone has a great day!!

Day two of our Bangkok meeting. Some of the old hats here refuse to eat the lunch provided and insist on bringing their own food. I've found the food quite good and feel sorry for the entourage of the food snobs. Oh, well. So far just a bit of the tummy rumblies, nothing serious.
