Tough place to be in Celia, couldn't stand such a polluted and heavily crowded place like that, what moved you to vacation there? Good on you finding all those steps! Pam, skipping rope is a fantastic workout! When I first started taking Boxercise and had to learn how to jump rope again (after 40 years) it spent most of my time wrapped around my neck or legs :P I can do it now, even fast, but with none of the fancy footwork some do. Makes me wonder how I did it so easily as a young girl. Another tough night of lack of sleep, and I fear my pain meds are giving me a rash on top of it. Weird as I have taken them before with no effect. I got my morning exercise in, but only 105 min, not as much as I would like, had a quick breakfast smoothie, showered and hit the sack and slept for three hrs!! Wish I could do that at night!!! Bad news of the RA attacking my back, right hip, both shoulders and both feet. While the surgeons can give me relief on some of it (5 joint replacements so far) there is not much they can do for the back or feet. Only my very strong will to keep moving, keep exercising and staying out of a wheelchair get me up every day. But I do get frustrated and binge on my favorite salty snack of chips . I just barely manage to keep my weight from shooting up, but I do eat very healthy meals and rarely eat out. Tomorrow I will be eating out, the first time in a very long time, for St. Patrick's Day. I don't like alcohol so no green beer, but I will enjoy the company. Wearing green hat & wig :) and hoodie. Have a good one!

Getting a bit discouraged at my weight. Still higher than I'd like, but I haven't had it in me to eat less and move more to change it. Slept in but still didn't feel rested. I'm not giving up, I won't give up, but I'm certainly in the doldrums. Went to my favorite museum in town (the Museum of History and Industry) and walked around the lake front a bit and toured a gorgeous Edwardian yacht. Tonight and tomorrow afternoon I have concerts. Did I really not drink any water until lunchtime today? I wouldn't think so but I can't find any evidence to the contrary. As I mentioned in my status, I gave my boys haircuts, which I'd been putting off for a while since the toddler gets very upset if anything gets within a couple inches of his ears. So it was one of those "good job to have done" things.
It's time to start thinking about how the outside of my house looks, which is not a happy subject for me. I guess I'll try and focus on how it's nice to be outside and move forward from there. I feel like I don't have any time lately, it's so odd. I was feeling this way a few weeks ago, I called it resolution-itis.
Just now checking in, but not because I haven't been awake since the usual 4 a.m. Internet has been intermittent all day, so I finally called and spent way too much of my time standing on my head, holding my tongue sideways and everything else to get it re-set as I spoke to the AT&T rep. Ugh! So frustrating.
I enjoyed the day at the river yesterday. We got to see almost all of our "river" friends (the after-funeral luncheon) and it was a beautiful sunshiney day. The 88 yr old deceased would have smiled, as it is what we do over there and the kind of life he loved, too. The Elks ladies put on a wonderful spread of food, but DH and I commented that we like the way we eat at home much better--we carefully select what we purchase and how it's prepared, and now we prefer it.
Today is chore day--catching up on all the household chores that went undone while working on deadline project and visiting Granddaughter out of town. DH is in a fishing tournament; he reported in around lunch time -- very slow, and cold. So, I will make some stuffed peppers for dinner--he likes them. Scale streak still going--weight was exactly the same.

I slept in this morning and it was get the bread on morning.. oh sigh, but I've been really tired all week, so in a way it's a good thing... it just means my bread won't get into the oven until later today..
We have been out of town for spring break. No intentional exercise, but plenty of walking, climbing stairs on water slides and playing with the girls. But lots of eating as well! There were times that I could've indulged that I said no thank you and I ate a healthy breakfast every day. The scale is showing a big gain, but I'm going to stay calm, drink my water and hopefully it comes off pretty quickly.

Happy Saturday! It's going to be another beautiful day here. I am going to be doing some morning yoga (sun salutations and the like) with the sun shining in my face, which I love. I got some sad news yesterday about my closest friend at work applying for jobs elsewhere and am trying not to be in too much of a funk about that. I have a lot of fun things planned for this weekend and want to enjoy them. Anyway, have a great day everyone!

Good Morning all! It is a beautiful day in Indiana. Helping my daughter move up to Indy today. That will probably be my workout for the day.
The week has went well. Fell off the wagon one day and the rest of the week I've been trying to make amends.
I found a jump rope in my daughter's things while packing her up, so I brought it home and gave it a whirl. Ha! Ha! My first attempt (after 20 +/- yrs.) I made 3 jumps . . . in a row. I kept trying . . . and have successfully re learned this fine art. I am not sure if I can keep it up (I have some prior foot damage) but going to incorporate this into my daily routine for a while.
Gotta go and get MOVING . . .

Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

I was away last weekend on hotel food, I do not think over I over indulged but with that, lack of exercise and constipation and water retention. the scale showed a 4 pound weight gain. I did not panic knowing it was temporary , it took me months to lose 4lbs yet it's gained in2 days! I am happy today, I am now back to how I was before going away. Phew Irene
Finally got some exercise after 5 days in a teeny compound. I walked from my hotel to the Indonesian National Museum, about a 3-mile round trip plus walking through the museum, then walked all 6 levels of the shopping center across from my hotel. It felt good to break 10,000 steps again, though the heat, humidity, and pollution (both air and noise) combined to make the walk less pleasant. Tomorrow it's on to Bangkok for the week.
