I just got the coveted spark mailer to let me know that I've been named a Spark People Motivator! I'm so excited, and I'm sure I have MANY of my fellow teammates here to thank for that honor...so--thank you so much--one more thing to help me stay accountable!
Highest weight: 248 August 2010 Reached goal weight of 148 Feb 23, 2012 10/1/13-10/1/14-Gained back 50-peeling it off!
I'm feeling fit and strong! I'm really curious to see what the scale says tomorrow morning. I've been building muscle and getting really toned, but that muscle is showing up on the scale, too! I keep telling myself it's no big deal and muscle weighs more than fat...but you know how that scale creeping up can make you feel!

I have not reached my goal weight yet, and don't plan to until around August of this year, hopefully sooner. I wanted to join this team to stay involved with members that are already maintaining and learn what it is that's making them successful. This time around I decided not to go on another weight loss program, but to adopt a healthy and active life style and to maintain that, so technically I like to tell myself I've been on maintenance since day 1.
We finally have some beautiful much needed sunshine which always helps with the motivation, so today I'm hoping to get back on track!
I still have this cold. I am tired today but walked the dog. I could not go to Tai Chi this morning because Mom's leg hurt. I gave her an Advil for pain. We went grocery shopping for a few items. I made lunch and now have to take the dog outside. Best wishes, Linda from bean town
I'm still struggling with fatigue and a sore back muscles.. I think I over stretched on a few yoga poses the other day.. I'm still struggling with the mornings being dark again, thus probably why I'm more tired than ususal..
Keep smiling, and stay positive.. it all helps! Have a good day everyone.
Still bloaty, which is depressing, but I have to keep pushing. Sunday I sent my husband to the grocery store for milk and cheese and he brought home a chocolate cream pie mix. Since today is Pi Day I decided to make it last night after choir practice so it could chill overnight. 390 calories for 1/10th of a pie! I doubt I'll cut it into that many pieces, either. Celia, it might interest you to know that I take an anti-malarial drug every day for my inflammatory arthritis: Plaquenil. I'm not sure how it works on the inflammation! I wonder if I'd be safe in the tropics? If there is a mosquito within 50 miles, it usually finds me. Time to get busy!
It continues to be a struggle to stay positive. I keep chin up when dealing with my husband, my children, my flight students, and our training pilots but really I'm scared to death. The CR, continuing resolution, is in progress. We are hoping for common sense to reign so that the majority of these towers do not get closed. Decisions like these shouldn't be left up to those who are not plugged into the industry. H-O-W-E-V-E-R... I'm doing really well with my exercise ambitions. I'm clinging to it as it's all I feel like I have control over. I've been struggling with my cravings and I've been giving in to them. Me and my daughter made oatmeal raisin cookies with healthy substitutions Sunday night and brownies Tuesday night. The rest of my meals have been perfectly clean but I have given in to cravings.

Good Morning: Today is day 3 of my maintenance streak. I need to figure out diet. I was pretty hungry yesterday and ate over my calorie range.
i did my stationary bike this morning and plan zumba later today. Yesterday I did my stationary bike, and a ST dvd with Kelly Coffey Meyer. I also got 10000 steps in with my fitbit, so I am happy with my fitness minutes.
Hopefully I will figure out the right calorie range for me to feel full and not hungry.
Good morning, friends. Celia, you are a trooper with the climate. You will go into shock when you get home. Far from tropical here. Venise, your computer/Spark break sounds like it was done for the best of reasons! And Maree, good going with cold weather. I love to be on the water too, but it will be weeks yet where I live before I will step in my kayak.
Walking today with my visiting niece. We'll do a modified bootcamp thing we have done before when I visited her on the west coast. Love being with her. If yaking burns calories, we will burn a ton! Have a good day everyone.

Good morning. Celia, I think of the phrase "there's no place like home" as I read your post. I'm looking at 24 degrees for my long walk with fitness buddy this morning. Forecast high today is 48. Tomorrow looks better at 59 but these below average temps are annoying to this boater whose soul longs for the peace and tranquility of the river.
Good day yesterday. Wind was so cold on my luncheon walk that we had to cut it short. I wasn't dressed for that. Scale and I are getting along. I'm trying the daily approach. I slept well again. Yaaay!
Okay gotta get ready and bundle up. I hope everyone has a great day!!
Good morning. Woke up sweating. Not sure why so decided to check my emails before the family is up for the day. Never really used the computer yesterday :) just enjoyed my family and day. Hope you all have a great one. Looking forward to my girls parent teacher conferences this afternoon.

Workshop is steaming toward tomorrow's closure...literally steaming, it feels like. The room was insufferably hot and stuffy last night, because I keep the unscreened windows closed to keep out mozzies. Today is especially hot and humid, so I have my windows open for the day (no AC). There is a lot of burning here, and all the smoke seems to be lifting up the slope and into my room. I will likely be forced to leave the windows open tonight just to be able to sleep and breathe. Glad I took my malaria drugs.
