I had a cook in session this morning using minced turkey breast meat. I made one dish with leeks and mashed pottage on top of the meat , I also made turkey meat balls in a sauce, I have several ready meals now in the freezer for busy days. I put grated ginger in the meat balls to add taste,. I am staying home today but can soon till the hours . Irene

Hi everyone, feel like I'm just hanging in there. Did pretty good nutritionally yesterday, glad I stopped at the health food store last weekend and bought some Arctic Zero. It saved me last night. Sis is coming home this Saturday and then the next weekend my little sis and her family are coming up for a visit and the next weekend is Easter which is a busy time for me committment wise with my church Stopped by and worked out for a half hour or so with some friends doing a little circuit training....tough stuff....been out of the gym for WAY too long. Going in today before work to calibrate the Garmin and try to get in a few laps. Working 2-11 tonight and then, back at 8AM tomorrow. Blech!!!

Hi everyone, I just joined this group. I an in my 6th month on maintenance the scale moves up with no problem. When I weighed myself this morning I was up almost 2 lbs. Now I am 6 lbs away from my target weight again. This is the second time this year.I am still recording my meals and activity. Now I just need to get it through my head that I can't give up or I will have more than 6 lbs to get rid of!

Went out for Ribeye steak dinner for my birthday last night. Saved half for breakfast, and even went for a lovely walk on the beach after dinner. Who knew starfish came in so many colors! They were thick all over the rocks. Great birthday, very fun.

Morning all! I had to go in early to work today, so I didn't get a chance to log on until now. I still made time for doing ST with Coach Nicole and making myself a good lunch, although I really had to speed walk to the bus. Shaping up to be another easy-going day at work with school being out. I'm also headed to the gym this afternoon and making sushi for dinner (always one of my favorites during the week), so it's shaping up to be a good day! Hope you are all doing well!
Good Morning everyone. I hope those who are feeling sick, get better.. those who are tired, find some energy (like me), and those who have those amazing workouts.. way to go... I'm in awe of how hard some of you workout!!
Good morning. I am all for a wicked wonderful Wednesday! This is my yoga day, but hearing about all the running and ST going on this thread may inspire me to get some cardio steps in too. Thanks for the jolt of energy, mates. You guys are better than caffeine in the am!!

I had a great ST workout with the trainer last night. Ab torture, walking lunges while twisting with an 8lb ball, three sets of 30-second wall squats.....among other things. OOF! Now I'll take it easy the rest of the week, let everything heal before Saturday's 5K. Looks like it's gonna be cold!
I totally believe in the placebo effect Maree. We've all seen the effect of our negative inner diaglogue so gotta push the positive thoughts!!
Yesterday was my rest day from Insanity so I only walked 30 minutes. Today I started my recovery week and it was still a great workout. 40 minutes of Insanity and 30 minutes of walking. I have lunch made and extra fruit for snack, so I'm ready for the day!

I like the idea of the teddy bear,I must get one real or imaginary to help my sleep. I am well just have little energy. I was childminding yesterday only for about 90 mins but it wore me out! The child is not a baby but a demanding 9 year old. I feel I must lay down a few ground rules in future if I am to look after her again. She wants to come here so I must say that's ok but...... I may get the reputation of being a grumpy nan but I can't help that. The sun is shining though its cold I may go for a walk to wake myself up , Irene

Good morning! Ah, lots of sleep last night. That "teddy bear" Spark Goodie from Tortoise must have done the trick :)))). Thanks, Tortoise. Actually, the vision of a child snuggling with its favorite teddy or blankie did come to mind at one point. Really confirms the placebo effect of what is in our minds. So, let's think healthy, svelte, strong, beautiful!!
Off for 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. Scale is good, nutrition plan is healthy for today.
Sincerely Hope each of my maintaining friends has a great Wednesday!!
