After being ill then going away I am all out of step. I promised myself today was a fresh start. So far so good.i slept well which is very unusual. I did 10 minutes stretch and flex exercises just to get my old bones and muscles moving again. Now to plan my meals for the day and try to catch up on a few things . Wish me luck please. Enjoy your day . Irene

Ate my first "Real" meal since getting sick. Probably took in more calories than I would have on food by drinking ginger ale, but it seems to be the one sure fire thing that will settle a sick stomach. Didn't make the wisest choices, but I LOVE liver and onions and IHOP has some of the best. I saved half to take home, and it was healthier than many of the options on the menu. Going to enjoy some ginger tea this evening and then settle down and plan the upcoming week. I have a feeling that it's going to be a busy one.

Hi all, Happy Sunday! It is a little warmer here with about six inches of snow on the ground. It was icy this morning but the sun is out. I can not wait for Spring. I hope it all melts today and tomorrow. We are due to get rain on Tuesday. I avoided a higher calorie vegetable for a lower calorie one. I walked my doggy outside twice and will walk him a couple of more times today. I am sick today and could not go the church. I did not want anyone to catch my cold. Best wishes on this beautiful day. Enjoy! Linda from bean town
There is Spring in the air again today--nearing 60 and may rain! But, love the more temperate weather---I just LOVE Spring. What can I say?
Going for a hike at the wildlife refuge (almost next door to my neighborhood) later today.
I need to make up for my eating discretion on Saturday . . . Not horrible, but need to keep mindful that I can only get by with it a day or two a month -- yesterday was one of those days. Started off good, egg and veggie omelet for breakfast . . . then went to my daughters to help her pack for her move and they had just ordered pizza and bread sticks. I ate 4 (smaller square size) pieces and 2 bread sticks (that is a whole day's worth of calories just by itself). Then, a few hours later hubby stopped by and offered to take us out for dinner. Of course, I never turn down a dinner date with hubby and family. So we went and I did reasonably well at the restaurant, but should have passed on the biscuit and fried okra. Add that to the pizza meal and breakfast and the number climb. Then, there is the routine eating habit of a midnight snack -- not a must, but a habit and I caved and ate fat-free pretzels and some fruit. Altogether, I had about 2300 calories which is too much for my activity level. Fortunately, packing keeps you on your feet and moving -- so that probably helped. Thankfully, temptation and overeating hasn't been too common since the holidays and I have been on track for several weeks with no big tempting days like yesterday. All is good!
Anticipating another day next weekend like this weekend, so I will need to do double diligence to stay on track this week . . . AND more EXERCISE (--affirming self-talk)
Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Weight up this morning, not surprising given the erratic eating of yesterday. The boat wrecking yard was a bust, but it was interesting to hear the guy talk about his business and how tough and expensive it is to dispose of boats that are beyond their useful life. No wonder our state has a problem with derelect vessels. We had plenty of time to waste before my concert, so we spent some time wandering around Farehaven and then drove in the country, stopping occasionally to look out on the Sound and remember that we live in one of the most beautiful places on earth. My concert went well. Then it was a long drive home to set the clocks forward. Time to get ready for church. Enjoy your Sundays!
Have a family get-together for dinner at my house for dinner. Even though we all live pretty close, we will go weeks sometimes without seeing each other. My crock pot is starting to smell yummy! The wind is blowing like crazy here today, so think I will do a kettlebell workout then get on the treadmill for a bit.
Everyone have a great Sunday!
~Mandy~ I'll make it to the moon, if I have to crawl.
I've been so sedentary, working on report cards and getting ready for parent conferences, using the excuse that it's been rainy anyway. The sun is out already though, and I have a huge jump on my school work, so we will be going for a walk/jog this morning before hitting the Farmer's Market. Tortoise, you must share your recipe - I think a lot of us are drooling out here!

Checking in on Mothering Sunday in UK. We had a relaxing weekend away with two sons left the hotel in Cheshire after breakfast. 2 hours later at home to find a huge box of tulips here for me . Fom my daughter for Mother's Day. We are invited to our eldest grand daughters for a meal later so it's proving to en great day. Back to earth tomorrow! Irene
Good morning! Mmmm, blueberry muffins sound yummy.
All these early morning risings have prepared me for Daylight Savings Time, that's for sure. Rain is in the forecast, but warmer weather so I am hoping for a walk this afternoon with a friend, too. Church this morning, and then back to the office. Project will be done Monday, hell or high water.
Good morning everyone, where ever you are ! Jakarta surely seems like the furthest away place on our thread this am! Hellooooooo Celia. Hope your sleep balance gets squared away.
I got up way to early to make blueberry oatmeal muffins this morning. What can I say, except trying this new recipe was on my mind. With my early rising and a long walk with a friend planned for today I may see a Sunday nap this afternoon!
This team and thread are buzzing with activity. I thank you all for your inspiration! Have a terrific Sunday.
