Busy day, hence not checking in until the day is over half gone! Did reasonably well as far as calories and activity went yesterday; so far so good with food today--too busy to be snacking, which is usually my downfall. I'm headed out for a short run after work, then my belly dancing class this evening, so I'm looking forward to an active evening. I need it after being chained to a desk all day!

Quick check in. One coworker out sick again, one left for an hour for a doctor's appointment. I have a doctor's appointment after work. The doctor that is covering for my primary care doctor looked over my records and decided she wanted to see me to discuss my medications and lab results. I take a boatload of medications that affect my bloodwork. The precribing doctors see the results as "normal abnormal", but it must look bad to a GP when I haven't had a check up in ages.

Well, it's not any better at my home front. I don't know whether to eat everything in sight or puke. We are still in the battle to save my husband's job and the jobs of roughly a quarter million other Americans. This sequestration is ignorant. Arbitrary cuts with no thought of the consequences on safety to the public and long-term revenues. This should be the conversation between all Americans right now. Once we all become educated on the devastating consequences of the thoughtless cuts it will be the issue that we all agree upon. However I understand the denial and I wish that I was in it.

Back to work after snow day--early out though because of Parent Teacher Conferences (I don't stay--only for certified staff--which I am not) Made one layer of what will be my Birthday cake yesterday, and I will make the other today when I get home...lemon cake with raspberry sauce between the two layers, and I'm going to attempt to decorate it with enormous icing roses---courtesy of Pinterest..it's not light by any stretch of the imagination, but I plan on it being delicious. I'm taking it to meet my family to celebrate with me at a local country dance hall on Sunday afternoon (love that there's a band on Sunday afternoon instead of late at night...I must be getting old:) I'll be working that cake off---dancing away in my new boots--plus I plan to bring a fresh fruit and veggie tray too.

After a break here in northern Virginia, the snow has started again, but it is warm enough that so far my driveway is remaining clear after the two back-breaking hours I spent shoveling this morning. The snow blower's electronic ignition doesn't work, and we've never been able to start it with the pull cord, so without power, it was a big, ol' paperweight. Power is back on now, but I figure I got my cardio for the day shoveling. At least I claimed it.

Kiddos are home from school thanks to the "storm" which is hitting us with a lovely mix of rain and snow. Everything has been cancelled and I am just really hoping that it kind of stays this way so that there is school tomorrow. But, supposedly... we are supposed to be hit with the "heavy snow" after noon. But, they keep saying its coming, and moving back the time it supposed to hit. My 5 year old is frustrated that he can't actually go out and play, because it's raining more than snowing.
I'm wearing my pedometer and working on getting in at least 10K steps today, even though I'm stuck in my house. Lots of marching in place and playing follow the leader! :)

Good morning! Woke up to snow here too and it's supposed to go all day. I'm kind of glad to see it because we haven't had any, but it is MARCH! Yikes.
Must be "maintenance" week everywhere, Maree, as I got a haircut (and pedicure) yesterday. It was time. Think bangs in soup.... Irene, yes, please continue to take care of yourself and get better. It takes such patience to get well. And Phebess, I always have trouble when I wait too long to eat and it just happens sometimes. Glad you got in so many good steps! Kelliebean - your training schedule is inspiring!

Low on calories, we flew to Tazzy and missed dinner, got a bit lost driving, and, well, I don't eat dinner at 10 PM, thank you. Add in 9000 steps. And probably not enough water - but we have a sink in our room, and I'm tanking up on the stuff!
Quick hello , I m ok recovering from a bronchial virus and trying to catch up on things now . I have so many things going on I am trying not to stress over weighing myself , I know I get on the scales too often and know how I fluctuate but I also know I am going to stay on my healthy eating pattern. I may not pop in daily on the team but will do what I can .

Good morning! The snow was coming down pretty hard all morning when I received the text from my hairdresser to re-schedule my appointment to today. Then it quit. Only 1 1/2 inches total. But she lives out if town and the wind has really picked up. I can still hear it.
It's too early and I hope I can get back to sleep. Yesterday's nutrition was okay but I didn't get it all tracked. If I would pay closer attention to the calorie number I would be able to analyze the numbers and discover a safe range. Maybe that's a goal to achieve when work lets up a bit.
Today is my tough workout, 30 min elliptical 60 min RIPPED class. I'm hoping to finish project A at work so I can start project B to meet Monday deadline. I'd like to have it mostly finished before the weekend to make only final edits on Monday.
Hope those getting snow are coping well and those recovering from surgery and illness will receive an extra measure of healing. Happy and healthy Wednesday to all!!
