Late check in. Had a coworker out sick today so it was a busy day. Took my Mom shopping after work and impulse purchased a precooked meatloaf for dinner. Still OK on calories for the day, first time this week. I admitted to my rheumatologist that I'm having a little more pain in my hands so my prednisone taper is on hold. I managed to get myself out for short walks on my breaks. I haven't been doing so well lately, I've just got to get back to basics and start making those small changes to get back in the groove.

No snow here yet. Today is my son's bday. He had a nice play date with his BFF. Seems like bday week. I have been doing great with exercise but not nutrition. Hope to do better when all the bday cake is gone.

Just rain, cold rain and gloomy skies today, but staying pretty toasty by the fire. Snow may show up later. The weatherman says 3"-6" tonight, but expected to be gone quickly. Got some walking in before noon and rain. Not much else yet--for me I gain momentum as the day wears on---I'll be up to all kinds of things by the end of my day.
Turkey Pot Pie for dinner tonight---homemade low-fat version.
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Happy Tuesday, all! Yesterday was a nice, active day; today it's going to be more of a challenge getting enough movement in, but that's how it goes lately, one day active, the next not so much. As long as I can keep my appetite balanced with the level of activity for the day, it is working out okay. Hope those of you facing snow and nasty weather stay safe and warm; we had some lovely sunshine here yesterday but are back to grey skies again. Typical March weather for the Pacific Northwest.

Finished my morning workout. Read a few blog entries at Blogilates. Working on their pilates videos, especially the breathing and the concept of pushing the lower back into the floor.

Brrrr, all the talk of snow elsewhere makes me happy that we don't have any here on the east coast of Vancouver Island!!
I'm off to walk the dogs, then it's stationary bike day. It's also a "cooking" day, so I hope I can keep the nibbling to a minimum! That's my downfall, nibbling while I cook..

Snow day here for the entire family. I'm still in shock that my employment called off work. Since my husband is losing his job at the end of the month (thanks to the US Govt) and won't be compensated for personal time I convinced him to take a personal day. It works out well for him since his job is contingent upon weather and he wasn't the opener or the closer today. I'm hoping to get a paper written, or at least started, today and maybe even take the puppy and kids out to make a snowman. My daughter has already built a miniature snowman in the front yard! She wasted no time!

Good morning! No snow here, yet--they call this a "wintry mix"--sleet, rain, yuck. I'm crossing my fingers that this is the last of it! A groundhog is not a "spring predictor"!
It was such a busy day yesterday that I was in bed shortly after 7:00. I was exhausted and know better than to fight it, because the urge is to eat to give me energy to stay awake. It's better to listen to the body for what it really needs, and that was sleep. However, I woke up around 11:30 p.m with mind racing, got up, wrote down the items I needed to remember, and after an hour or so, I was able to get back to sleep. So I slept in a little.
I made it to the gym for 30 min treadmill run, and 60 min. pilates class.
Okay, now it's snowing.
It's gonna be a healthy day, because that's my plan! Hope everyone else has a good one, too!

Well, happy to say I woke up to no new snowfall on the ground this morning. I close tonight however and it looks like the story is changing. Seems to be a steady, moderate snow falling now so I'm going to hop into my winter clothes...look for a good pair of gloves and try to keep up with the accumulation before I leave for work at 12:30. I can get some laundry and filing done in between sessions. Praying for a lightening up so that I won't have too much when I get home at 10:30 or tomorrow morning. Stay warm and safe everyone.

I have a developmental evaluation for one of the Children today so that's preoccupying me. It's here at our house, too. Maybe I'll move the broken recliner parts to storage. :flex:

Tortise, I have that dream, too! I wake up in a panic and almost want to run to the scale for reassurance.
Trying to figure out all these little things that are not good lately: hit the deer, house alarm broke, my fifth Fitbit fell apart last night...just one calamity or minor irritation after another. Oh, and it finally dawned on me that yellow fever and typhoid were not the same thing, so I had to scramble to get a very expensive yellow fever vaccination (since I could not depend on the county public health travel clinic even being open on their clinic day tomorrow). Is the Universe trying to tell me something?

Our storm is supposed to arrive tonight. My freezer is filled with tupperware of water/ice to keep things frozen when our power inevitably goes out. I'm off to the store this morning to restock my survival supplies (I wind up giving away all my canned goods to food drives over the winter). We have gas stove and oven, so I should still be able to cook fairly decently.
I made 14,000 steps yesterday. I actually didn't do much activity besides my workouts, but I did two of them. Oh, and it was super hard to go to bed because I was reveling in some mid 90s indie band goodness and was jumping around. I can no longer mosh. My neck was very concerned that I was even attempting such a thing!

The snow is starting. I can't believe 15 days till spring and we are getting hit like this! Oh well. 15 more days!!!
I have ST with my trainer tonight plus a little time on the elliptical. I'm only five minutes from the gym so the weather won't stop me. Hopefully it won't stop my trainer. Plan B will be my elliptical and the. An SP video.

I am slowly getting back to health after a nasty virus. I did very little exercise, but yesterday I managed a 20 min walk. I still Ada god appetite when ill but ate little and often light meals. I was pleased today to find I was a pound down over the week, so am still maintaining and determined to carry on doing so. Good luck to all triers. Irene

Good morning, team. Just read yesterday's thread and noticed how much activity went on. We can call it Movin' Monday! Good for us.
I'm heading out for a 5 mile walk today. Snow coming tonight so I want to get it in before I am housebound for a bit. Weighed in at goal range and am a happy camper. I dreamt last night that I gained all my weight back AT ONCE! I can tell you I was glad to wake up!!
