March 1st! Yay for fresh starts! I actually have done really well the past 5 days, so going into the month with a bang.
My morning did start off wonderfully...My 30 year old daughter of 8 and 9 year olds got engaged! She sent me a picture of her ring, it's a huge pearl! This was long in coming, but still a surprise, there was no indication that it was about to happen.

It's Friday and payday for me--double bonus there! Yesterday was good on the food and activity fronts, time with our personal trainer in the evening and a short run as well helped balance things out. For some reason I've been a bit extra hungry lately, so I have to watch that I don't slip into old habits of snacking and letting the calories creep up. It's the mindless eating that has always been my downfall in the past, trying to avoid that trap. Have a wonderful weekend!

Soon we'll be seeing spring flowers! Happy March 1 team.
I'm amazed I've been able to maintain my weight loss over the winter months and look forward to spring and summer.. although summer has lots of foods that can pack a huge calorie punch also.. for me, it's staying away from those ice cream stands that love to populate the busy walking area's by the beach!
Thanks Sparkpeople and all my sparkfriends..

March is coming in with some lionish aspects. It's fairly warm, but blustery this morning. My weight is way up due to a wonderful and completely untrackable dinner last night with two of my sisters-in-law. I too need to get things back under tighter control and get moving. We've worked too hard and too long to let this slip away from us! Looking forward to the weekend!

Another horrible day yesterday....and it is showing on the scale and my waist. I am at my very highest goal weight (my original Spark goal) and I KNOW that I can do better than this. So, today is a new month and a new start. I need to commit to this like I did when I first started. Tracking EVERY morsel before it goes in my mouth - weighing EVERYTHING - and most of all - GETTING MOVING....it's not going to be easy with the schedule that I have been managing, but a minimum of 10 mins 6 days a week and we'll go from there.

Yesterday was pretty good. I had several chores to do last night that took a lot of time. I almost blew off my workout, but I knew the likelihood of getting one in today was remote, so I did a quick 30-minute cardio. Today should be a rest day, but if I have time, I'll do a short something to keep my fitness minutes streak going and start the month off right!
Going for an outdoor run today. My plantar facistis has been flaring lately, but lots of stretching last night and I actually feel pretty good today. I didn't get my 10,000 steps in yesterday... just over 9,000. Baby girl woke up during my workout and so I didn't get to finish it. I'm working on being more active during the day, not just at workouts.

Maree that was so great getting to wear that dress again and receiving compliments. Phebess, 150 over is nothing, you are doing so great getting your steps in!
I had a small glass of wine with dinner last night too, then settled on the couch with DH who promptly fell asleep on my lap. I slipped out from under him and got on the elliptical and got my ab work in like I told you guys yesterday I would.you guys keep me going!! THANK YOU!
I have an off-site meeting this afternoon so hopefully I can get that done and get home early,
We made it through Jan and Feb! Yaaay!! Good morning Maintainers!
Great day yesterday! We were pleasantly surprised to find sidewalks clear enough on our long walk to take the normal route. It is now light when we finish, which is nice, but it will be even better when the time changes and we have that extra hour in the evening, while the days get longer at both ends. Love it! Work was quiet giving me time to concentrate on the deadline project--but it always seems to take longer than you hope. After work I stopped in at a fundraiser; it was great connecting with colleagues and friends, and I had only a small glass of white wine, a "chicken on a stick" appetizer, resisting a plate full of cupcakes and cookies (a favorite) and settling on a rice crispy treat. I received a lot of compliments on the dress I wore--one that had been pushed to the side while the 20+ lbs separated me from my favorite wardrobe pieces. That is the reason to maintain!
Tough workout day again today--elliptical for 30 min, RIPPED class for 60 min. Lots of lean choices in frig to pack lunch and snacks. It's gonna be a good day. Life is hard, but we are strong!
