I had a potentially emotional day with my son and his family and my 21 year old son taking off to fly to Hawaii tonight. They have to spend 13 hours in the air plus a 12 hour layover overnight tonight. I am not too worried about them. I didn't get emotional when they left. My hubby drove them to the airport and there was no room for me in the car. So I went in the house and cleaned. Bathroom, laundered towels and sheets from three rooms, dishes, cleaned up all the little messes that come with having a 2 year old playing with toys and making messes at the table. It was a very effective way to avoid binging. I had told myself earlier today "I will NOT have a binge today!" I'm finishing up day 5 being on a binge free streak.

Dreary wintery weather, but feeling Spring fever already. Showed houses until 1 and had a nice lunch when I got home . . . salad with pork loin and yogurt dressing. No more appts. until 4:30, so I'm home doing research for clients, checking email and taking it easy until 4ish. I did some property walking on a couple large tracts this morning which is most likely all the walking I get in today. Planning on the usual (when I am not lazy) living room calisthenics while watching TV tonight.
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Yesterday I stayed away from the pistachios! First day within calorie range this week, I think. I'm getting rid of bloat, weight down almost 2 pounds in 24 hours. I hate that my body does this, but at least I know the pattern. Girls' Night Out tonight. One sis-in-law had a setback in surgery recovery, so we weren't sure it was going to happen, but she says she hopes to be there. One coworker called in sick, so we're short staffed. Since we have more than we can handle on a fully staffed day, it makes for extra stress. Oh well, it's only 8 hours.

Hello Everyone! I really need the positive energy from this team. I woke up at 4:15 yesterday morning scared. to. death. Worried about my son in college. Worried about my husband losing his job because of the govt sequestration. His tower is on the closure list. I don't see how it makes sense to cut the second, sometimes third, busiest tower in Iowa. It's a safety issue that's close to my heart since I work for the flight school that flies at his towered airfield. I've been in this business long enough to know how much it desperately hurts to lose a young pilot for reasons that could have been prevented.
On a lighter note, I'm back to exercise and it feels great. Nothing like a good run to cure a bad mood and a sad heart. I ran 2.5 last night. Living on a Prayer was on my mp3 and I balled my eyes out as it was playing. We are living on a prayer... and it just made me run faster and longer as it played.

So I'm back in the 150s again, which makes me happy. Ended up not being able to do a workout after work last night, because I was working past my bedtime (9PM) trying to get one last report cleaned up. UGH. At least now it's pretty much set to be submitted; I just need to do a 4 hour round trip in the Party Toaster in order to get the last piece done.
Had a good workout this morning: 55 minutes on the elliptical and 50 minutes in the pool doing laps. Tonight is Thursday Night Workouts with my running group. I CAN'T WAIT! Plus I have tomorrow off from work. ::happy sigh::
So I hope all of yas are having a great day, and I'm glad that I'm getting back into the Sparking routine.

Hello, all! Starting another day trying to be good after last night's blowout. Teleworking, but I didn't get the usual good sleep last night because I had to get up frequently to walk out leg cramps. Also, the house alarm has failed, so I couldn't set it, and I kept waking at every sound. Today is better, though. Sun and mild temperatures, ST this afternoon, and nothing on the evening calendar. Hoping to avoid another binge, as DH is still out of town (one of my triggers, it seems).

good morning everyone.... cant believe its the last day of february.... but so anxious for march to get here and spring to come ...
this sunday my daughter comes home from missouri for a 3 day visit,,,,, cant wait to see her... then in 2 weeks i hop on plane and go to texas and see my other daughter and her 2 sons for a week.... so looking forward to that....
yesterday and today my legs are so sore I can barely walk.... tuesday i did lunges and push presses with heavier weight.. man can i feel it....
I am down 10# from the 20 i gained over the holiday.... 10 more to get back to goal weight and then i want to lose another 5....

Good morning team.
Woke up this morning with chest congestion, body aches, and cold chills. Wanted to try a short strength training routine. Every time one of my friends is sick, I nag them to death about resting. So I took my own advice and went back to bed for an hour. Glad I hit my 1000 minutes of exercise goal yesterday. Got some cold medicine down and feel a little better. Can't get out of work today.

So glad it is Thursday! I am hoping it's warm enough this weekend to do some SUP in the bay (waaaaaaay too cold for the ocean!). I need a change - am sore and tired this week from my new routine with the lunch time running club (even though I walk more than run!). And I am feeling hungrier than ever. argh

Yesterday was not too shabby. It was a totally stressful day at work. I ate well, except for a little almond incident when I got home. Hubs and son were gone for the night, so I wanted to just lounge. But I remembered my commitment to 40 fitness minutes, so I pushed through and did it!
I hope today is a repeat, minus work stress and almonds. I definitely want to get my workout in, since tomorrow it will be next to impossible to do it.

Good Morning everyone. I'm also hoping for an early spring, but for today I'd settle for anything above 40*. The plan is 4-5 miles on the "loop" in town - safe on the sidewalk is much better than on my country road.

20 days till spring! I agree Maree, looking forward to the time change next week! phebess, you are doing so great. You get more steps in than I do and I'm not recovering from surgery!
I went to the gym last night for a 3/12 mile run. It wasn't a good night! I had to slow down to walk a lot. The oppressive humidity in the gym really got to me. I can't wait to get outside to run. 50-70 degrees is my optimal running temp. I start to sweat as soon as I walk in the gym.
Tonight will be the elliptical and ab work. Happy end of February all!

Kind of toward the upper end of my range, but lots of vegs today - and walked 7000+ steps - so doing well. Have also drunk about 12 cups of water today, but just thirsty!

Great day yesterday! The stuffed flounder was yummy and the phone and email was quiet enough that I was able to get a good start on the next big project with a deadline of March 11.
Long walk with the dogs and fitness buddy this morning. I hope everyone has a fabulous final February day!!
