Hi all, I walked my little doggy three times in this pouring rain. He dose not want to outside yet tonight. He is sleeping now. I have also walked mom around in the grocery store. I did a bunch of errands this morning. I am going to Tai Chi tomorrow. You are so right. I can not wait until spring. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Have had a good week so far. Almost through day four of a binge-free streak. I'm working hard at eating only for hunger and it's helping by giving me something positive to concentrate on instead of thinking about eating all the time. I work on ignoring minor hunger feelings until they are true hunger. Drinking water helps hold me off too.
Can't wait for spring...it's really only three weeks away!

It's a hurry up and wait kind of day at the office, so I have a little time to write an update.
My reports are almost done, and I'm now working on the next slew that are due by the end of September. However, I don't want to wait until the last minute, so I'm working on getting them done by the end of March. Fortunately, they're not as extensive as the ones I'm working on currently, so it won't take too long, and they won't be as taxing this time around. :)
Food is getting better, and I had a GREAT strength training session this morning. Planning on hitting either the elliptical or the pool tonight, then doing the other activity tomorrow morning. Tomorrow night, I run with my crew from the running shop, which I'm REALLY looking forward to, then a 3 day weekend. :)
Hi all!! Plenty of snow, but not enough to cancel or even delay school today :) I just started my trial of Spark Coach today...It might be just the ticket for this next phase--and might be another "reward" to myself for maintaining :) ST@Y scheduled for after work today, but I may forgo it to shovel snow instead--I will have plenty to move by the end of the day--and I'm almost out of produce, so that means a trip to the grocery store too--it might be a night for Jillian and her Yoga Meltdown again :(...jk

Yesterday was a blah day. I got trapped by the gadget gremlin. I kept thinking, "I'm not paying enough attention to real life" and then would be great for 5-10 minutes and then... zoom... right back to the electronic attention grabbers. I'm turning them all off while my little one is awake today, except for the radio for some tunes, so we can dance and play. She really loves to dance. And that is awesome. But, I still managed my 90 minute, 14000 step workout.
Planning a 75 min, 12000 step workout today. (I'm training for a double half marathon-- 2 half marathons in a week in April/May-- so when I can't get out and actually run, I do an "indoor run" which is a lot of WATP moves sped up and I use my pedometer to make sure I'm keeping a good pace. It's how I trained for my first half when my oldest was too big for the jogging stroller anymore!)

I was fairly productive after work yesterday. I cooked the first piece of meat I got from the CSA (community supported agriculture--I buy direct from the farmer), a chuck roast in the pressure cooker. Got quite a bit of housework done while my husband was at his rehearsal, but got bingy with the pistachios again. Well, they won't last forever and I'll remember for quite a while that I still lack control where roasted, salted nuts are concerned.

We're missing this round of snow. It's staying South of us even though we still could pick up an inch or so. Doesn't look like it now so I'm hopeful we won't see it. It's so nice to have dry roads and we're able to sweep all of the sand out of the garage.
I had a major sweet tooth since the holidays, so I decided I would give up sweets for Lent. I usually don't do this, but I thought it was a good excuse. Easter Sunday I will probably indulge in some candy especially since I have a bag of white choc. carrot cake M & M's in the cupboard. I always have to try these new kinds when they come out.
No big plans for today. Just some sort of a workout. 2 weeks yet before I can get back to normal.

Survived the snow yesterday. Lots of shoveling, but at least it was some exercise. Had work, laundry and taking care of critters to fill out the rest of the day. Not the best nutrition wise. Would have been okay if the darned mini-sandwich cremes hadn't gotten me at work. Got to break the sugar thing I have going on. Seems oatmeal with fruit and yogurt is working to kill the cravings so I'm going to pack a snack pack of fruit and a packet of sugar free oatmeal in the lunch box and see how that works to keep me on track through the day.

Yesterday was one of those non-stop days. I couldn't sleep after hitting the deer, and during the night I realized my car HAD to go into the shop, so I turned off the alarm and slept till DH left. Got up, showered, and started work at 6:30 to prep for a 7:00 call I was leading, then took the car into the shop. That process (taking the car in and getting a rental) knocked 2 hours out of time I needed to prepare for the evening presentation DH guilted me into giving for him when he got called away. Then I repeated the process in the afternoon to return the rental and get my car back. By then I was scrambling on that presentation, trying to find more glitzy graphics and videos to make an evening presentation something to stay awake for. Drove through driving rain, sat through 45 minutes waiting my turn to speak, gave the talk, and drove home through driving rain (without hitting another deer, thank goodness). By then, it was almost 9:00, and I still hadn't eaten dinner. So...no exercise yesterday, and it was the second day in a row that I didn't even reach the bottom of my calorie range (even under 1200 yesterday).
Now I'm off to read yesterday's posts!

Tortoise, I hope things go smooth traveling! Healthy eating I'd a challenge on the road but you will do it.
I left work early yesterday hearing how bad the roads were but they were fine, made great time getting home. So DH and I finally got a good start on our estate planning that we keep putting off.
Well must dig in here at work, two meetings back to back here shortly. Happy hump day everyone!

Good morning, fabulous teammates!
Yesterday was a very good day. I committed to 40 fitness minutes. This was before emergency road repairs that added another 30 minutes to my commute in addition to leaving the office late. It was a killer day with one person out. I had to cover for her and work on my own deadline. I also had to stop at the store. So I didn't get home until after 7 p.m. I thought about skipping or doing a shorter workout, but I had made that commitment, so I did it!
I hope today is a little less stressful. I'll conquer it either way, though!

Got up early for a quick short run. Looking so forward to getting out of the house after being snowed in for 2 days. Very behind at work. My daughter is still sick. She is going to have to stay with her Nanna.

Had a healthy day yesterday and did a strong elliptical workout. Really do plan to do inline skiing with my stored skates, once I find the darn things.
Doing a bit of traveling in next few days so will need to think about snacks for the road. Airports are always a challenge.

Only 25 calories over my max, walked 7000+ steps, had a productive day, and was able to complete my usual Wednesday workout which includes 60 abs. Doing well!

Good morning! Last night I read all the posts from yesterday's check-in, and just wanted to say welcome to those joining us. I love hearing how everyone is doing, the projects they are working on and how this weight loss maintenance journey is going.
I had a great day yesterday! I love the feeling of being rewarded for hard work and experienced that yesterday morning. Day started out with sleet, moved into rain, but at the end of the day I drove home in a beautiful snow, those big, fluffy flakes that stick to the trees; only about 2 inches fell, so it was just pretty.
I slept well, and am getting ready for my "tough" workout day, 30 min elliptical and 60 min RIPPED class. I'm gonna nail it!
I'm looking forward to Oneweigh's update on the boat. Around our marina the saying is B.O.A.T. stands for "Break Out Another Thousand." It's a love affair with water and these vessels make it happen--I can't wait for spring. By the way, did you decide on a name?
