My husband popped out of bed and a hideous hour for a Saturday, so we were out and about early. Spent a lot of time working on the boat. There's no end of things do be done. I probably burned extra calories just trying to keep warm! Tonight we're going to see La Boheme. I'm getting excited for tomorrow, when I pick up my first share of a meat CSA. I hope I haven't overestimated my freezer space.

Congrats on your maintenance anniversary Michelle!
Ever since my presentation ended on Thursday, my sinuses have been exploding. At least my body was able to hold off while I was talking in front of so many people. Whenever I get seriously congested, it puts a lot of pressure on my eyes and makes it hard to keep them open. So, I'm going to take it easy today - probably just take a brief walk a little later and leave it at that. I'm taking in lots of fluids in the hopes that I can kick this thing to the curb ASAP. I want to be able to enjoy not having any responsibilities this weekend!

I did my social connections last night. We played cards and drank beer. I didn't really let my snacking/drinking get out of control. We had fun and DH won the tournament. Happy for him, but we are very competitive with each other. He will be bragging for a week :)
Gotta get my meals/workouts planned for the week and groceries bought. Will probably get on the treadmill today for a long hilly walk. My daughter woke up early this morning with a fever. She was just sick a few weeks ago. Ugh.

I have a baby shower to go to today. I know already what food is planned. A lasagna lunch. I will have to work out portion control. I think I'll avoid the breadsticks. I hope the salad doesn't have the dressing already on it.
Worked out 5 days in a row and am ready for a rest day, but if the weather clears up after the shower, I will take a walk.

Work, visit sis after work....Red Robin for dinner, I'll be okay as long as I stick with the Chicken Ensanada. Meeting at work tomorrow morning at 6AM which I have to leave early to be at church for lighting at 7AM-12:30, then visit sis.....then.....a break - day off Monday. I'll figure that out tomorrow.

Cool! Connecting with nature this morning - we are going ocean kayaking/whale watching. Then to the Farmer's Market to stock up for the week. Likely a nice dinner afterwards as DH has to fast tomorrow for a colonoscopy on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend!

Tortoise set the tone of 'connections.' Tonight I'm connecting with the world. Our choral concert is "Around the World in 80 Minutes" - music from 14 countries - fun stuff. My Saturday long run will be shortened. I don't want to be all tired out tonight. I'll be standing and singing for a long time.

Good morning!! Getting connected with good friends is a common theme for me today too, Tortoise. This morning a bunch of girls are meeting for coffee, some of whom have moved on to different gyms. We used to run together before injuries sidelined some. One has "graduated" to crossfit and competes, one moved to the Y, another moved away but still visits, but we all share fitness as a way of life. H
A fish fry with DH's hunting "family" was postponed due to the snow. I'm glad I don't have the food temptation as I need to get serious about losing some extra lbs.
Good morning, Maintainers. It's Saturday and I am looking forward to going to my book group. We read, In the Time of Butterflies, a novel based on a true story. I loved it and am looking forward to the discussion. Later will take a long walk with one of my friends. I haven't seen her in awhile, so am looking forward to the "walk & talk" time.
