Today is my first rest day for Insanity. My body is enjoying it, but my mind keeps saying to get into my workout clothes! I did walk 30 minutes today!

I'm taking a couple of days off work to play catch up around the house. I took one cat to the vet for dental work. Luckily, she didn't need extractions, so she'll be home this afternoon. I'm spending the day tidying the house, doing laundry and cooking. I have beets roasted, peeled and sliced and two casseroles cooling to put into the freezer. I don't cook ahead very often, but it always makes me feel virtuous. Back to work!

Wow that is great! I can not top that. You go girl! I only walked the dogs twice and will walk them a couple of more times today. It is going to rain tonight. It may snow on Sunday now. It makes it harder to exercise outside. I will have to exercise more to the DVDs. I need to go out and get my medication this afternoon. Best wishes on reaching your goal. well woke up late today... took pain meds beofre going to bed last night for headache..... but I plan to make it to the gym to day... then to grocery store... good news is I am down 7.2 pounds.... only 17.8 left to go to get back to maintenance,,,,,

Into another week of trying to find a balance in an already hectic life. I realize that it is more a matter of setting boundaries which I have never been very good at, so that is my goal for the week. I fear that I will be entering the challenge too high on the weight range, but intend to keep at it for the accountability and hopefully by the end of the challenge, to be safely within my range and with some better coping and maintenance skills in check.

Thank you everyone for the recognition of my birthday and my "anniversary" of maintenance. You may see on my signature for messages that my real date for maintenance is January 8 but somehow SP got it registered as my birthday date of Feb 17. That would certainly make it an easy date for me to remember. But when I look back of my home calendar of weigh-ins, I see my date as Jan 8 for my goal reached.

I'm ready to get off the sweet eating "streak" that I had for three days. This year my birthday did me in. I'd had a good binge free streak, but gave myself too much freedom this weekend. I think I had the "I deserve this" mentality, which isn't a good thing. I never thought I did that kind of thinking but apparently I do. I learned something new about myself. I know something to watch out for in the future.

Catching up on emails from a 3 day computer hiatus...so much junk, and quite a lot of catch up at Spark to try to do--it's all good tho.
Had a wonderful weekend with my sweetie..we started looking at engagement rings...that was a nice surprise :)
Got my Feb WW weigh in done on Saturday morning, and chatted with my leader about changing it to a higher one (still in healthy range though) and he said it's no problem--I will just have to fill out a form the next time I'm at my home meeting place that he'll send in for me. I'm so glad that went so well!!
Amanda--congratulations on the workout pants!! I remember in Feb 2011-at my first organized run--seeing people in running tights and saying out-loud to my friends that I would NEVER feel like I could wear those! (wearing baggy nylon track pants at that moment), and when I went to the same race again this year--I was wearing my first pair of running tights! Monumental moments :)

Maree, I can't wait for spring! We have another week of nasty, cold, windy weather coming up. In fact, the wintry-mix precip started about an hour ago, before I could get out for my walk. Methinks the 2-mile parking garage walk looks better and better.

Enjoying a long weekend at the Boston Marriott with the family thanks to my dh who set it up. We got plenty of exercise walking around the science museum yesterday as well as enjoying the pool and hot tub at the hotel & doing some window shopping at the prudential. Could have done better nutrition choices but so enjoyed all the food and drinks included on the concierge level.

Good morning!

Maree - I think of the scale as a good friend who gives me the straight scoop when I ask. It's always what I want to hear, but it is the way it is. It's hard to get the straight scoop from less objective friends, so I like my scale.

Great going on the new workout pants, Mandy! Very cool.

Looking forward to working out hard today. Got a challenge from Spark Coach to up my intensity, so am going to try it. Peanut butter toast as part of breakfast. Hit the spot today!

Good morning ladies!

I got up early and did a short fast run on the treadmill. Now having overnight oats and coffee and a little spark time before I get the crew up. The next couple of days are going to be super yuck at work. Trying to go in with a positive attitude.

Had a special nsv moment yesterday. Bought a pair of fitted exercise pants (I've always avoided those) and they look awesome!

Good morning! Same here, I heard the wind howling, then work thoughts, then had to go to the bathroom, so I figured I might as week get up.

Tonight I have a session with the trainer. I usually get in two 15 minute walks at work during the day in the gym/auditorium. Then I usually do 10 minutes on the elliptical to warm up for the hour of ST with the trainer.

Good Tuesday morning! I can't believe how fast February is going--in ten days it will be March. March means "spring" to me. I noticed my daffodils started sprouting, but certainly won't be blooming here in the next week as another cold front is blowing in. I woke up too early (3 am) to the sound of the wind roaring, then mind shifts to work and I might as well get up. 6.5 hrs sleep.

Yesterday was a healthy day for nutrition and fitness. I managed to resist any of the leftover cake and pumpkin bread, but both came to mind several times. It's best if I don't even start with those treats. I got it all tracked, too.

This morning is cardio machine for 30 min, pilates for 60. I'm mustering up the courage to step on the scale--I still have lingering mental blocks with that thing. I need some phrase to repeat in my head other than "it's just a tool" or "I am not a number". Any ideas would be appreciated.
