Hello!!! I finally made time to say "Hi". I had a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day, and I slept a full 8 hours last night!! Yaaay! I finished a deadline project, had the first draft finished Thursday before I left the office, so that felt good and is probably the reason I slept well. Had a tough work out this morning (did 30 min eliptical, and 60 min RIPPED class). Thursday I treated myself to a luncheon walk with a friend in the sunshine, and you know what, I was more productive that afternoon. So there you have it!

38 years ago today my daughter was born. So she and granddaughter came to town about 7 p.m and we celebrated with Thai food, sushi, lots of good stuff. Tomorrow is an open house type deal with her friends stopping by. Oh, do I wish I had someone to help me clean!! You know, I'm just not gonna worry about it.

See you all tomorrow!!!!

Late check in for me! I'm starting to get butterflies in my stomach. My brother is due to arrive for a visit. I haven't seen him for 25 years. Long story, but he drifted off and we didn't reconnect until I found him on Facebook a year or so ago. He's coming to surprise our 90 year old Mom. Our plans had to change because she fell yesterday and banged up her face. She said, "I can't go out with you tomorrow, you'd be accused of elder abuse!" So the plan of meeting at a restaurant (which I didn't like anyway) shifted to meeting at her retirement home. I have an extra long weekend, taking Tuesday and Wednesday off. I'll probably need them to recover from the emotions of the weekend!

It's Friday, and this is a long weekend for me--WOO HOO! Did fairly well yesterday with going out to dinner for Valentine's Day with my husband, at least as far as I can guesstimate on the calories for everything; I brought home probably two-thirds of the pasta dish I had, and we split dessert (tiramisu). Knowing we had dinner out and would likely have dessert helped me *stay away* from the Valentine's cookies that were (and still are) in the kitchen at work. Now if I can just ignore them again today . . . haven't been to the gym yet, but I'm thinking if it's dry when I get off work I may go for a run in the neighborhood instead.

What, no Maree as the first post today? And no post from her yet?

It's good to see that a few maintainers were up and at it earlier than the gyms open. Now that's commitment right there.

VeniseW1, I must confess; I am so jealous. Oh, how I would love to have someone come clean my house. Especially on a regular basis. I run around trying to get it all done, motivate the troops in the house to help out, and try to find some time for fun with them. Working full time, going to school, volunteer EMS duties, kids sports and other volunteer commitments... at least one weekend day is devoted to housework. And when that day gets filled with some other activity, which it often does, well, the housework slides. I do a load of laundry daily because clean clothes are more important than clean floors or clean toilets. Maybe someday my section of the world will lean in my favor. It's looking bleak, though, with corporations paying at the top. It's just not trickling down like it did in my parent's time. So sad. Some of us can see the abuse at the top, from the bottom. So sad that those at the top can't see it (referring to the corporation the my husband works for). I can only pray that he can obtain a position within the company where he can possibly make a change in this brutal corporate practice of unequal revenue dispersement.

Wow, I let my guard down and I ate just like I did last year for Valentine's Day. Constant Vigiliance! But I'm here to be back on track. I think I was under calories quite a bit the day before. so I thought "well, we'll eat that tomorrow." And I was on a mostly liquid diet due to my tooth. Anyway, that was yesterday. Just dust myself off and keep going.

Haven't done much exercise since cleaning and purging some stuff earlier this week. My nutrition has also been awful. At the beginning of the week I was celebrating mardi gras aka fat Tues but was more like long fat weekend, lol. Made up for some of it yesterday and today so far. Thyroid meds in the morning are a bummer. I am not suppose to have much to eat for the first 4 hours after I take my meds, but after an hour or so I caved and had a half bagel w/cream cheese and some fresh raspberries. Looking forward to going for a walk w/my buddy this afternoon. I am enjoying the new cleaning crew so far. Their first day is usually amazing. The last couple I had were in and out in less than 2 hours but also had been working for me for the last 6+ years. Today I have 3 new people and they've been here over 2 hours. The only reason I had decided to switch was my previous cleaners were asking for more money and I felt like they were doing less work. So far I am glad I've made the switch. I am crossing my fingers that I have no regrets.

Yay it's Friday! Made it through 9 days without binges or emotional eating.

I'm hoping it doesn't snow over the weekend like they're predicting. It won't amount to much anyway, after all, I live in NC.

Having some me time which helps me not stress out so much. I will get to work out today. I don't know if I mentioned it, but I am now working on a new streak. I plan to get two ST workouts a week and in 6 months, I will work on having 3 per week, if my twice works well.

Today I will take a long walk and do a Coach Nicole DVD.

happy Friday, everyone!
Couples Yoga Retreat?? That sounds like a wonderful time!
I'm really looking forward to some new running shoes (tax refund time--deposit isn't there yet tho) It's also time to buy my reward for a year of maintenance on the 23rd, so I'm pretty excited about that too. I have some ideas.
Work out scheduled after work today--still struggling with being too far over my goal for Lifetime WW --
(.6 beyond my stupid window last night--that's right--only 6 tenths of a pound --which for those of you who aren't familiar with WW, that's a measly 2.6 pounds above goal--the window is too freaking small in my opinion-- when I checked before my meeting--so I skipped it!!)
--I'm planning to get to a weigh in location for a morning weigh in instead of my regular 5PM one (I hate that) over the weekend--also have Birthday celebration to have with my best girlfriend some time soon too.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Good morning team!

Got up early this morning for ST day. That Coach Nicole video is a lot more challenging than I thought it would be! I love it though. Going to be a busy weekend. The girls have a swimming birthday party tonight, softball signups in the morning and we promised to take them out to eat and to a movie tomorrow - Escape from Planet Earth.

I indulged in a few treats yesterday. A little more than good, but not quite bad. The real problem is that there is still a lot of candy left! I'm really strict on how much candy I let the kids have. Will love myself as much as I love them and not overindulge.

Everyone have a great weekend.

It is 55 here right now but is supposed to get into the 80's today.

Today I plan to check over my income tax. It is finished but I always check it over before sending it in.
Then lunch with friends who are both having health issues. He is 87 she is 90.

Also want to call the surgery center where I am to have the knee replacement on the 1st of March to see what I need to do before.

Right now I don't feel like I need it.

Tomorrow will go to the Mexican border to do mission work.

God bless all and have a good day.

Urgh. This week has not loved me. And it showed on the scale this morning. Up like, 5 pounds. Admittedly, I was at a low thanks to the stomach flu last time and didn't actually expect it to last. But, still discouraging to be up 2.5 lbs from where I was BEFORE the flu hit. I am hoping that kicking things into gear this weekend will help with getting back on track.

I'm going to start my HM training tomorrow. Slow and steady, until I get into the doctor for an all clear to start in earnest, but still starting. No school for the kids today or Monday, so I'm off to figure out what to do with them! :)

Imperfection is important. If we were all perfect, then there would be no such thing as growth, and everyone would be extremely boring, which is, paradoxically, not that perfect.-- Dr. Matt

Crazy busy as always and still needing to get back to tracking everything that goes in my mouth. Going to try moving the computer to the kitchen to facilitate entry of recipes etc and to keep from becoming a hermit up in my room in order to get onto Spark.

Good Friday Morning!

I've been looking at Spring clothes, but I'm waiting. I've found that if I buy too early, I end up buying too much plus many times the clothes end up being too big. So I'm going to shop smart this year and not over buy.

Today I'm going to walk on the treadmill for a bit. My DS came over for a visit yesterday and really got me anxious to get back to working out again. I've got 4 1/2 weeks till I can. I'm playing Co-Rec softball this summer and he wants me to join him and his friends in Ultimate Frisbee. It will be a challenging summer and that's part of my goal for myself.

Have a great Friday!

Happy Friday, team. Waking up slowly here. What a bummer to get to a workout room early and have it not open. And how fabulous to rev up your computer and do a spark workout anyway. I am impressed, Kellie.

Yesterday I bought a few spring things to celebrate my year on Spark and replenish my wardrobe. Felt great.

Good morning from beautiful West Brookfield, WI. I'm here for work. There is a fun-filled IT seminar in my immediate future. I can't wait to get home tonight. I barely slept, the bed was a bit stiff.

I finally got up to hit the elliptical in the hotel fitness room but they don't open till 6am. Too late, I need to meet the others at breakfast at 7. S I logged on to SP for a couple quick workouts.

I hope that laptop cord shows up. Happy Friday everyone!

Eek! I can't find the power cord to my laptop. I don't remember where I last plugged it in. Surely it's still attached to some outlet.

Today is an aerobics/weights day and I usually get a short treadmill run in first. Since I won't be online as long, maybe the run will be longer than usual.

Have a good day, everyone!
