Hi all, I have been walking my little doggies. I walked the dogs six times today. I am taking my little silky terrier Dusty outside after I finish reading and replying to my e-mails. I eating and feel full. I am trying to eat slower and drink a glass of water before each meal. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Beautiful weather. Had a nice 70 minute walk. I plan to bike (inside) and get some ST. Had a crummy time with eating yesterday, but that's water under the bridge. Don't we all love fresh beginnings?

Good Morning everyone!
I woke up tired, but hopefully will be able to shake that off with my morning dog walk. I can see a bit of blue sky peaking through the clouds and it's not raining, so that should make me feel better.
I've been nibbly lately and make a good energy bar with peanut butter, but have been eating a bit too many of them lately! It has turned up as a solid .5 gain over the week. Not bad I know, but time to get it under control.. easier said than done.. but reading everyone's posts give me the motivation to try harder!

I've had kids home sick the last few days. Busy at work--skipped the Y on Monday, and I'll trade it in tonight for a walk around the local Farm and Home Show at the county fairgrounds tonight. Decided to switch up my meals/food choices a bit--was starting to feel a bit bored, and maybe that will help me shake the 3 pounds that seem to be following me around the last month that I hadn't seen in 9 months previously.

Well, yesterday during the day, I felt like I was in the process of getting my batteries recharged, and today, I just feel like a new woman. Had a GREAT cardio workout (1512 calories burned per my HRM between spin class and 30 minutes on the elliptical) last night and this morning, I tackled that strength training like I never have before. I just feel like everything got reset the past couple of days. Tonight, depending on how my upper body feels, I'll either swim or do the bike/elliptical combo. I'll do the other tomorrow morning.
Food yesterday was great until I dipped into the almonds last night. I ate too many of them, but I know I'll do better today.
Well, back to my reports. Have a GREAT hump day today!

Good morning everyone. Started the day off right with a healthy breakfast and then a nice 4 mile run on the treadmill. Tonight is my second belly dancing class, looking forward to that even if I do feel completely uncoordinated!

I started off kind of cranky. Husband woke up early with a headache and so he and the cats woke me up early. I resent anything that interupts my limited sleep time. I realized yesterday that with the stress of the last couple of weeks I failed to fill a prescription, so my every-other-week dose of Humira will be a few days late. I'm doing better this week at putting the stuff I can't change aside and getting on with what needs to be done.
Good morning team. Got up early and did two of the workouts on the total body sculpting dvd. They are fun and challenging. Doing lunch out with a friend today. Will make healthy choices. Have been craving sweets at the office in the afternoon. Think I'll pick up some fruit to keep here.

Yikes! I'm sorry to hear about everybody's aches and pains. Hopefully everyone will be on a quick road to recovery. I got my morning workout with Peak10 More Cardio Strength out of the way. I went up from 5 to 8 lbs for my light weights and from 10 to 12 lbs for my heavy. My, how things have changed when that makes me excited and proud!
I'm glad to be home from my race and getting back to my schedule for food. My grandma was super accommodating in looking for vegan places to go while my friend Chelsea and I stayed there. Being vegan always seems to put a damper on trips, but not this time! It was really fantastic! Oh, and I got 35th place out of 124 people and 2nd in my age group. I only wished I hadn't focused so much on pacing and more on pushing myself. I'll know better next time!

Self_Respect – We’ve got a bug going around here that mimics the flu, but is something else. Doesn’t make an difference when you’re feeling bad though. Hope you recover quickly.

Today is my cardio rest day, but I will do my 30 min session with the weights.
Keeping them out in my line of sight has been helping.

Happy hump day everyone! We have an audit coming up soon at work, so my boss has told us that we may have to stay past 5 today to get ready for it, which butts into my gym time. Fortunately, my partner is very supportive, so he is cooking dinner (and a healthy one!) so I have the time to swing my the gym even if I get out of work late.
Now to do some ST with Coach Nicole and have some delicious breakfast. Have a great day everyone!
I haven't had a charlie horse in quite awhile. When I have gotten them, it's been from stretching in bed.
No walk taken yesterday. Maybe today. I'm not really feeling good so I'm not pushing myself. I probably won't feel good until I'm off of my pain med. I need them so I will put up with this.

Maree, I also get leg cramps at night. They sure disturb sleep, DH's included, as I struggle to get rid of the covers and jump out of bed to stand and walk the cramp out. Hope your cramp doesn't become a regular occurrence.
Self_respect, so sorry about that flu! My massage therapist had the flu shot and still got the flu, too. The radio said this year's shot is 62% effective.
So-so night with the snacking, but I did catch myself and put the crackers away. Worse was caving to the bagels and Danish pastries at our offsite yesterday. I did so well sticking with fruit until just before lunch. Rats. Glad to be back to my routine today.

home sick with flu like symptoms. I had a flu shot, though. Not happy.

I went to the gym last night, almost didn't. I went in jeans and a sweatshirt so I would have warm, dry clothes to change into. I realized when I got there that I forgot my workout pants. ARGH! I almost aborted but forced myself to go home (five minutes) and get the pants.
I'm glad I did, I got a great 45 min brisk walk/jog in!

good morning! busy days here on molokai; the "silly season" is starting with work, though it's hardly seen to cut down our miles. they just keep adding up - 8 to 10 miles of walking per day, because you just want to go out one more time and check the sunset, or the house building project, or the beach. and since we've been essentially without a car all this time, we've walked.
nutrition is holding fine - at least with the miles we are walking, seems like we can relax and enjoy the evening pistachio nuts before another delicious salad:-

I am really sore from ST class on Monday and pilates yesterday, lots of inner and outer thigh work. I got a "charlie-horse" cramp in the middle of the night--yee-owch! Nutrition went great until last night when I opened the bag of strawberry twizzlers I received as a Christmas present. I thought I could limit myself to 4, but I blew it. I didn't eat the whole bag. (Wonder what that gooey stuff looks like in your gut? lol) On the other hand, I did get an extra walk in at lunch time. But as we know, you can't exercise off a bad diet.
Ah, today is a new day. This morning is 30 min cardio and 60 min RIPPED class. And a full day at work!
