Hi on Wednesday. I had two really full days so am hoping for a more relaxing day today. I want to plan meals, do a double crock pot meal, one for dinner one to freeze. I am plodding on and have stepped up on exercise as am hoping to get the scale numbers coming down ,

It's been a week since I hurt my toe. It's still a little tender but I was able to ride my recumbent cycle. I also came home to eat instead of having lunch out, so that was good for my health and my finances.

Hi All, I have walked the dogs seven times today for 30 minutes each time. I have been taking care of Mom. Washing, dressing, taking her out, feeding her, and making sure she takes her medications. I should be doing more cleaning and get all the paper work together to do the taxes. I will have to work on this. Best wishes, Linda from bean town, aka Moonchild8

Hi Team, a really late checkin for me. I've had a busy day so far, but am on top of my chores.
I hope everyone has a good day and doesn't let any stressors cause too much over indulgence!

I had a frustrating experience at church Sunday and ate a bunch of junk. My husband and I got a call last night about a relative in the hospital so that stressed me out and I ate a bunch more junk. Now I just feel like crap. I've written out a plan to get back on track and hope that life sails a little more smoothly for a day or two so I can get back on track! I guess everyone gets to experience different challenges in their lives. I wish the best to all of you with yours!

I'm praying for everyone with illness, injury, and surgery...
I've got an injury myself and I'm not sure what to do with it. It's my quad. I think I may have torn one of the muscles. This is so much more than just DOMS. I'm off the squats and lunges that I've been hounding on the last 2 weeks. That means no Zumba :( I can still work upper body, though.
Laura mentioned taking a belly dancing class... oh what fun! I bet it's a great core workout!

A quick check in...busy work day already started. I was tired and achy yesterday and my throat hurt when I woke up this morning. I refuse delivery on illness! I don't have time right now! I'm already thinking of taking a day off work for errand running.

The past couple of days have been rough. I did something to the medial side of my right knee and the lateral side of my lower left leg, so I had some issues with walking yesterday, so I had to work from my couch. I did some strength training for upper body and abs, but nothing else, which was VERY frustrating, since I wanted to do more exercise. However, maybe this is what I needed in order to figure out how to slow down.
So I'm back to where I'm supposed to be for my half marathon training. I only ran 3 miles this morning, and will only do one running session on Thursday night with the Fleet Feet crew. I'll do a little cardio in the morning to clear the cobwebs, but I think that I'm in a good place now.
I also think that I may have Seasonal Affective Disorder. I seem to be very moody and not exactly myself lately, and it's been difficult to focus on what I need to focus on. I'll talk to my doctor about it on Friday and I'm thinking about getting one of those lights and see if that helps. All I know is that the food lately has been out of control and I need to get a grip on what's causing it...and I think part of it is stress and part of it is depression that I experience each winter. I can certainly feel a difference already, now that I know there may be a reason for all this.
So I need to get back to my reports. Have a good one, everybody!

I wasn't too worried about my dad's condition yesterday, compared with how I felt this morning. The reality hit me that I'm the prime candidate to go take care of Mom if something were to really put him out of commission. I don't know how long he'll be laid up and I'm anxious, but I will know something by later today, once the cardiologist has a look at him. My brothers are there for him now but I'm the one that's not working, they have jobs. I live the farthest away, and have a husband who works. I would miss him terribly. When I even go for more than 5 days I get very homesick for him.

Good Morning Team!
Been a while since I checked in.. work has been crazy lately.
Last night I tried a Belly Dance class for the first time, and I may be hooked already. I had no idea I would SWEAT so much!! I'm toying with the idea of auditioning for the their dance troupe, I'll have to see how it fits in with race season.
Have a wonderful day :)

Good morning! Well, it's the last day of the long weekend. Where did it go? Still have so much I want to get done, but I'll just have to keep chipping away at it. Have breakfast eaten, laundry in and now going to get in a few moments of quiet time, a recipe recorded and dressed and ready to go visit my sis. Praying we don't get too much more snow. Just finished all the shoveling yesterday and really don't want to have to do it all again. Going to try to look at it in a positive light - at least it is a little more fitness than I would have gotten, right? Signed up for my first 10K yesterday and will probaably sign up for an 8K also. Maybe that will help to jumpstart my motivation.

Another snowy day ahead. At least it's a bit warmer than what it has been. Had implant surgery yesterday so now my cardio and ST is restricted. I plan on walking it the treadmill today.
Have a nice day!

Today is my granddaughter's sixth birthday and my third personal training session. I weighed 126.6 earlier this week, but was at 128.2 this morn. I haven't gone over my calorie range so I guess it's just fluctuation and sodium. Very much want to use the scale as a tool, not a judge. Want to get to 126 and stay around there. Want to get confident on that maintenance as I approach my 4th year of living at a healthy BMI. Am going to do it!!!

Good morning team! Got up early to do a quick, short run on the treadmill. It was nice. Now I'm eating my cottage cheese and tomatoes and drinking coffee. Hoping to get some things cleared off my desk today.
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning! I slept in this morning and I feel rested. Good way to begin.
So glad the surgery is minimal PHEBESS. And rats on the troublesome computer. Love 'em when they work; time consuming when they don't. Bummer, Maree to miss the race deadline. Hope another fun event replaces can replace it at some point. And I'm with you, Irene, skip the snack and go for a glass of wine!!
I didn't do a focused workout yesterday, but did get in almost 10K steps. I'll try to be more intense about it today! Getting a haircut (-: and having lunch with a good, long time friend today.

Good morning everyone. I'm up at my regular pre-sunrise time, unlike yesterday. First the gym then cleaning out some cupboards and closets. It's amazing how much stuff gets pushed to the back and forgotten.
DH roasted a turkey yesterday. Our discussion went well and I hope will have a lasting effect.

I'm glad the surgery will be minimal Phebess! Lori, I hope today brings good news! Maree, I'm with you, frustrating computers!
My husband is still sick, going on a week now. Doc says this strain just has to run it's course. Watching him feel so crummy and tired is making me tired!
I hope to make it to the gym tonight. I'm on call so hopefully the pager stays quiet.

Calories are mid range, walked about 9000 steps. Saw dr, probably will need surgery but it turns out to be outpatient and very minimal, so I feel better about the whole thing.

I had a full day yesterday with two meetings , but I walked to one nd did extra exercise. The evening meeting was at my home, I bought nibbles for the others, I was proud of myself that I did not have any self. Even if I did have a glass of wine. Maree. computer problems are so frustrating, we take it for granted now we just switch on and everything works. Ree

Good morning! Up too early again by an hour. Prayers and best wishes go out to Lori's family, and to teammates facing medical tests and injuries.
Yesterday I was up to my eyeballs with computer problems, first at work and then at home. Frustrating, but fixed. I missed my weekly entry in the Mardi gras challenge after being so close to finishing so that is disappointing. Oh, well. There are certainly worse things in life.
Today is 30 min cardio and 60 min pilates. Looking forward to it, and hopefully a walk with my lunch fitness buddy. Nutrition has been on track and I have healthy choices to pack my lunch.
