Still working the race blog! Went to breakfast this morning and had oatmeal with brown sugar, honey, raisins, and pecans! Yummo! I decided I would start eating that for breakfast a minimum of twice a week! So goood! Obviously, I was working my calories for this evening. Lunch was yogurt with blueberries & granola mixed in. I had a mini pretzel snack later. I started doing zucchini spears for the oven and they were ready at SB XLVII kickoff. I followed with my boneless buffalo chicken bites in the oven and 15 minutes later, they were served! Everything was good and my cal count was just above 1000. At the moment I'm feeling good. Beautiful grapes came out for the second half. AND I can STILL have a snack in a bit! Right now I'm quite content. That's how we roll in the lifestyle! Stay strong, stay focused, and embrace the lifestyle!

Busy weekend, but a nice balance of productivity, visiting, chores and recreation...and, not TOO bad nutrition wise. Still adding it all up to see if there is anything left for Superbowl snacks, but, even if not, just a couple cups of tea and a chance to relax and read in between the commercials will be treat enough!

Having a quieter day today. Took my DIL and granddaughter to two health food stores. I am surrounded by all my children who have turned out to be extremely conscious of eating healthily. I am blessed as a mother. I surely didn't teach them all of these habits, but I do reinforce their choices by making healthy choices of my own. I know I exercise more than any of them do. But I hope they will see how it makes me a stronger healthier person.
Have fun and make wonderful healthy food choices any of you who are planning on partying for the SuperBowl. We did all our partying yesterday sans football, and I focused more on junk food than on the visiting with my family. I regret that, as I have this problem every time there are guests in the house. This is going to be a long month while my son's family is staying with us. I have to think positive and get with the program!

Good morning team! Need to get off the computer and get some housework done. Will go for a long hilly walk with a friend later. The temperature will be nice, but it looks like the wind is gonna be blowing like crazy. DH wants pizza today. Going to make a large chopped salad to go with it.
Everyone have a great day!

Doing some house tidying and food prep before heading to church. Hosting a small Super Bowl gathering, just a brother & sister-in-law and mother-in-law. I cooked the beans yesterday so the chili will be quick.if I get all the vegetables chopped before church. I think I burned a lot of calories yesterday trying to stay warm. It was foggy and seemed much colder than the 42 degrees it was at the marina. After looking at the boat we went to the boat show and that meant a bit of walking. My goal for next week is to not let myself get stressed out. I can't control the stressors but I can control my reaction to them!

If all goes well, we will be out in the rv camping and quading this week (dh taking me for birthday and family meeting us for a special day). Weather is suppose to be nice and I am making a turkey today so will have lots of leftovers to take with. Good thing as my eating has not been good this week.

Happy Sunday! I've got a bunch of business to take care of today getting ready for a 3-day conference that's coming up later this month. I'm not going to let that get in the way of some play time, though. No Super Bowl watching here, so it should be a quiet day. I'm about to start baking some muffins and doing some Bollywood dancing for my morning workout.

I had planned to do some more volksmarching today, but I simply don't like walking on ice, and that's what's under the snow currently falling. So I'm attacking my to do list with a vengeance. I've already done the cat chores (changed litter boxes, cleaned bowls, scrubbed out and refilled fountain), swept/mopped the laundry room, done two loads of laundry, and pulled together the recycling. Taking a break to Spark over breakfast and my second cuppa with Spark buds.

Nice to read about everyone's plans for a positive though busy day.
After yesterday's 7.5 miles on the treadmill - the longest I've ever hung in there ever on that thing - only a stroll with DH today. Then we're attending a concert of our local symphony. We like to support the arts, although sports are much more popular in our neck of the woods. I will watch the game later although it really doesn't matter to me who wins. Just hoping for a good, interesting game.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi on Sunday.i thought I had a free day but things never go to plan. I had various things to do re my cross stitching also a book club I am in. It's my turn to host the meeting tomorrow , which means I start the discussion off on the book we had been reading. So I had to refresh my memory on it an make notes. Then my son in Switzerland contacted me re a trip to England for him and his family in May. Did we want to join them at a holiday resort ? Yes please so we were looking up hotels making comments on line until we got one booked. There's my free morning gone but it was all nice events filling it. Have a good day .irene

Morning! Good to hear how everyone is getting started this morning. Love the idea of celebrating progress with a new belt, KELLIEBEAN!
I built a fire this morning and am drinking my coffee while I Spark-start. Have chicken marinating for a Superbowl gathering tonight. The game starts late on the east coast of the US so we are going to actually eat dinner before the game. Saves eating wings, dips and other de-railing foods.
I hope everyone has some relaxation in their Sunday.

Just under 1400 cals today, so nearly at my happy range (maximum weight loss range for me is about 1400 cals) - plus over 8K walked - I'm good with this!

Good morning!
Just had my pre-run snack and watching an interesting program on PBS before I go on my long run this morning. I slept pretty well, and am looking forward to today.
Planning on getting my taxes and a bit of work done today, so I'm glad that I have the ability to work from home at times, especially since the Harbaugh brothers are going to be on later today, duking it out.
Hey kids! I'm up way too early for a Sunday thanks again to the dog. We got snow here yesterday too. It's still snowing a bit this morning. It is very pretty out there.
The scale was very good to me this morning and I'm thinking I need to go buy a belt. I can't remember the last time I needed a belt! This running thing I have gotten myself into has really helped!
Since my husband is still sick we won't make the party we go to every year. So I'm taking the dog to the groomer this morning, then getting chili in the crock pot for the game later.
I'm thinking a few minutes on the elliptical and a spark people 28 day bootcamp DVD later.
I hope everyone has a great Sunday!

Good Sunday morning! Wow, I feel great. I slept well and am having a great cup of coffee. I'm going to get ready for the 8 a.m. church service and then stop in the office to get a couple of things done. We have a dusting of snow this morning, and did yesterday, too. Kinda pretty while it's fresh and all white. Temps are rising and forecast is hopeful. Plus the groundhog says we're going to have an early spring! Woo hoo!
I cleaned the house (mostly the kitchen) yesterday and that makes me feel better. It was a good day nutritionally too. I clicked on a SP poster's page and read about the "No S" diet plan she follows -- No Snacks, no sugar, no seconds, except on days beginning with S. I always learn something new from our fellow SPs. I love reading about all the diverse methods used, especially by those celebrating a weight loss anniversary.
I hope everyone has a safe and healthy Superbowl Sunday!!
