I was pretty productive this morning but the afternoon got kind of scattered. I had been trying a new scheme to juggle many many spark teams, but this morning decided to cut back on some that weren't really goal related, or really slow. (Neither are a worry with ya'll, of course.) My toe pain rebounded today, not too surprising as I overdid it somewhat yesterday and the natural endorphins have worn off.

Phew, what a crazy day! I'm just now taking a few minutes for SP. Still squeezed in some Taebo this morning. Work has been stressssssful the last couple days, so I am looking forward to kicking back with some friends this evening and having some beer in moderation (while still staying good with all my nutrition goals).

Hurray for Friday!

Good Day today! I walked the dogs in this cold but seasonable weather. The dogs loved the walk we walked a half an hour twice today with both dogs. I am feeling good. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Hello everyone! Yesterday was a good day, started out with getting my resting metabolic rate tested and finding out to my surprise that my RMR is actually a little higher than average. Good day in terms of food, too, on track there, and then finished off the day with a good workout with our personal trainer. DH and I had seen her by chance at a local restaurant last Friday, she came in with her husband while we were eating. She told us last night that he thought we knew we'd see her there because of what we were having for dinner (splitting a salad and sandwich combo). She said no, she thought that was probably what we did most of the time. Funny that he would notice what we were eating and comment on it, but it IS what we do when we eat out 99% of the time!

Two river/boat references below... and I was just thinking, shrinking in this brutally cold weather, that spring is right around the corner. Which means the swimwear season is right behind it. Maree, I also live near the Mississippi River and can't wait to prep the boats for the season. Oneweigh, a sailboat sounds like relaxing work to me but I totally get it, why you're a lot hesitant to be excited.

Last night I came home to my family with a piercing headache. I told my 9 year old daughter that I couldn't wait for my Zumba class later so that I could work off the headache. She said that I should stay home because I had a headache. I told her that it wasn't that kind of headache. Not one to be worried about. I told her all I needed was a good workout and the headache would be gone. When I got back from class I made sure to tell her how wonderful I felt. I felt amazing. Exercise is the medicine. And I had a teachable moment with my daughter.

ONEWEIGH~ I can relate to hubby being a bit too impulsive on purchases. He has good reasons for everything and won't entertain the idea of waiting a bit. Do you like to go out in boats and fish? Could be fun!

I said I might get some ST in...I did! And I even biked! Felt good! Just thought I'd check in a second time with the positive news, after all my complaining about not getting any workouts from being busy with guests.

So happy to be done with January, and although we were in the minus zero range (real temp) this morning, I can say that I am happy to see February here. Had the best couple of days I've had nutritionally in a long time this past week and today I am starting out strong. Will be meeting up with some friends for a frigid 8 miler tomorrow am and have a long weekend off. Lots of obligations to take care of, but plenty of time for me to get a little more organized and focused. YEAH!!!!

I'm still stressed and depressed. My ADHD husband bought a 25 foot sailboat yesterday. He's wanted one for years, but given his track record with such impulses I will be greatly surprised if he doesn't immediately begin to lose interest in the idea. His knowledge of sailing is almost entirely theoretical, he took a three session beginning sailing course (that I got him for Christmas a few years ago, hoping to get it out of his system) two years ago, rented a boat for an hour not long after that and that's the extent of it. He doesn't like to fish, either. I hope he proves me wrong, but it's really hard to even make a show of being happy about it. Thanks for letting me vent! emoticon

Happy February 1.. I too am happy that spring is closer, and I've weighed the same for a month now.. My scale is stuck too!! But it's a happy stuck! I dream about weighing a bit less sometimes too, but wonder why.. It must be human nature to want to be stick thin!

Happy February everyone! It's my favorite month, with my birthday tucked into the middle of the month.

You all are so sweet and encouraging. There was such an abundance of support from you all the last two days, over my health issue, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I am so glad I can start February without having to wait on results or have a biopsy to anticipate.

I am starting a new streak today for eating within range. Still difficult to get motivated to push through and make time to work out. I've decided to fit in some ST today. I can do it at nap time for my granddaughter. My son is home with her over nap time today, and he'll be working on his school work while she naps, so I have no other obligations. I may even get upstairs to bike a bit.

Feb. is starting out extremely cold!

I've been doing well with maintaining. I dropped a lb yesterday, but put it back on this morning.
No big deal. I often think about trying to drop a few more lbs., but then I think with summer coming and the workouts I will do then, I'll probably take off a few then. I'll probably have an easier time keeping them off too. So I am happy to stay where I am for now. I tried on a pair of my shorts that I wore last summer. Didn't have to unsnap or unzip them to put them on. They were a little big. Looks like I'm going to be doing much more shopping than I thought for Spring and Summer.

I hope everyone has a nice Friday!

Happy February! It's a great day, my four-hour meeting an hour away was cancelled! WHOOOHOOO. Maree, that sounds like a little slice of heaven! I could go for that scenario right now!!

I weighed in right at goal today, I was shocked but that's good, ovet two months maintaining. I think this is a record for me. All of the weight work I've been doing has made me slimmer so I'll take it.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday!

Maree slept well, Jane hardly at all. I was in between. Still recovering from yesterday's work/commute/life stress, which saw me at the end of the day too tired to even wash the dishes, but not too tired to stuff my face with Special K chips and another glass of wine. Really need a healthy weekend. TGIF!

Good morning!

Last night's run was BRUTAL! I was a solid 1.5 minutes off the average pace for the rest of the group! Fortunately, one of the guys was kind enough to run with me. I was able to get 6 hill repeats in, so that felt really good. Total miles for yesterday: 15.53 between the two runs. EEK!

This morning, I had a nasty bout of insomnia...ended up waking up at 1:40, out of bed at 2 and at the gym by 3:30. Did an hour of cardio and my usual 90 minute strength training routine. I typically break them up, but I figured that I was there so early, I might as well get it all done this morning so I can shop for jeans tonight, since one pair I have is too big and the other is more for bumming around, not going out.

Speaking of going out, I'm all set to go to the basketball game tomorrow afternoon with my friend from the gym. We're meeting for coffee beforehand, which should be nice.

Off to hit the showers, then to the office. Have a FANTABULOUS Friday, everyone!

Hi team friends,

Good morning to you!

I too weighed in and found myself right at goal. That means, Maree, that we are beating the odds and maintaining, and maintaining IS maintaining. But I also know what you mean. How could nothing be changing? It is rewarding working hard and seeing a drop. I'm thinking, "Do I want to lose a few more pounds?" And I only some up with "sorta.." So I think I'm going to focus on savor and celebrate the weight, as is, and beating some fitness personal records. But this is just what I'm thinking today and want to get clearer on in next few.

As we know, this is a wonderful problem to have!

Have a wonderful day, all. Again, so pleased for Lori. Toni

good morning from a blustery hawaii! wind howling, but still warm.

yesterday was a low mileage day, we *only* did 8 miles according to the fitbit. amazed at how the steps add up here, it is just so easy to get outside and walk. or run. running did not go so well yesterday; i had forgotten to take my meds the day before and my heart rate did not like it one bit. good reminder to get back on the wagon and NOT skip; the run before two days earlier had been great, with low heart rate.

nutrition is easy when leftovers are waiting, and with the extra miles, a few treats can sneak in - but did NOT order the french fries, so that was a victory.

have a great friday!

Hello February and Team,! I slept a full 8.5 hours last night! Yaay! Made up for Wed night.

Scale is absolutely stuck on the same number--right at goal, so I'm not complaining too much, but wondering if it's okay. ha!

FREEZING outside today. Ugh, I long for 80 degrees, sunshine on my shoulders, on the boat on the Mississippi River, friends, a Miller Light.... okay, back to reality. Eliptical and RIPPED class this morning for a total of 90 min.

Looking forward to a wonderful Friday-hope it's great for all of you! (Celebrating good news for Lori!)
