good morning! trying to stay focused here, after slipping away from SP a bit the past few days. exercise and nutrition have both been good, as has weight - it's so easy to eat salads, and without a car readily available (we are sharing one and it is parked 2 miles away) it is so easy for the miles to add up. work is soon going to pick up, though, and hope i can stay on top of things.
have a great one!

Nutrition was mid-range, where I like it - didn't get enough walking in, it turned into a rest day. Mental health rest day, too. Kind of needed that, we've been busy trying to fill in our last few days in NZ.

Staying on track, sort of . . . enjoyed a small piece of birthday cake and a double helping of ice cream--but otherwise good. A banana and sugar-free jello for breakfast, popcorn as a lunch/snack, and turnip greens and pork roast for dinner, and more jello w/ a cup of frozen strawberries planned before bed. Ugh! --about 500 calories for the cake and ice cream alone . . . why do I do that!? Still staying within my calorie limits. No exercise today other than daily chores---just having a hard time DOING IT!!!!! Need to get with my girls and get remotivated.
Wiggle room on my weight! Getting consistent with exercise tipped the scales . . . in a good way~just don't think I need to lose any more--just get firm and fit!

Work stress continues. Long day, then had to take a cat to the vet for a check-up...almost there when the "check tire pressure" light goes on...I check the tire pressure before I start for home and they all seem OK. I DON'T NEED THIS!!! I made it home and will head to a gas station with an air compressor after dinner and without a howling cat in the passenger seat. At least my beloved had dinner ready when I got home.

good afternoon everyone. I usually check in later b/c my mornings are usually crazy busy. This morning after sending the girls off to school I brought my son to his swim class and I walked a little on the treadmill after that while he took his cooking class I took a pilates class. This afternoon I did some cleaning. Dishes, laundry (changed sheets on all 4 beds & a couple comforters) vacuumed, mopped, dusted, took out the trash & recycling. Polished mirrors and some windows. Now I just have to input some receipts and pay a few bills before I pick up my girls from ccd and bring them to their piano and guitar lessons. I'm feeling pretty good about how much we've accomplished so far :)

It's been raining like crazy all day- have a walk planned with OH after work today, but we may alter our plans. Weight is coming back in the right direction- still struggling with it being higher than I'd like to maintain (and have for most of the past year)

Good morning (though it's probably afternoon for a lot of you). Made it to the gym again today for a strength training class and then a short bout of HIIT on the treadmill--and still made it to work on time, two days in a row. Hopefully this is a trend that I can continue.

Morning all, though it is already afternoon here. Sounds like a lot of healthy things going on in everyone's lives. What a great community/team.
I am very sad to hear of the tragedy in your life, Livin2love. Sending a quiet prayer to you and everyone whose lives were touched by the firefighter.

I think I broke my toe! I'll do seated workouts for the next few days and see how it's doing, and I may do recumbent cycling if I can get into some shoes later in the week. I have a doctors appointment for next week. I guess they don't think a toe is some big emergency. I did my lat pulldowns anyway this morning.

Hi everyone, Weight is stable each day and I couldn't be happier that my body has found where it wants to be for now. I'm hoping the exercise will take care of the toning part as I'm sure finding that is taking so much longer than it did years ago.. oh the joy's of aging!
The oven repair man is coming today and I sure hope it doesn't cost an arm and leg to fix my oven.. It's got no computer control panel at all.. I'm getting tired of cooking everything on my stovetop and a small counter oven!

Sorry about the firefighter's wife, Livin2love.
First day back in the office in almost a week after several days of being a weather wuss (unscheduled telework authorized to help ease road congestion and prevent accidents...how proactive!) Hated getting up, but I really needed to talk to people face-to-face and get access to my hard copy files.

Kim-Your weather sounds just like our weather. You had a good excuse to over eat. That's so sad to hear.
No school today for the kids so I won't get much accomplished around here again today and we're under a Winter Storm Watch for tonight. So maybe another delay for tomorrow? It really stinks to have such mild temps and not be able to get outside and enjoy them. This winter really needs to end. I've had enough of it!
I hope everyone has a nice day!

Weird weather. Ice storm to warm thaw. Thunderstorms to accumulating snow. A little break from the cold and then back again.
I overate last night, on purpose. I went to a benefit planning meeting for one of our firefighters whose wife is, well, not going to win the fight against cancer.
It's tough. Gut wrenching tough.
I had just over 200 calories to spare before I went to the meeting but came home and ate about 500 calories.
I know other ways of soothing myself but food is so easy to turn to. I'm a work in progress and thankful to be healthy and alive.

I was out running this morning...in a tank top and capris! Did a little over 7.5 miles and felt GREAT.
Last night's outing was fun. The house band at the club I went to for this singles event was really good, but although I had a good conversation with a really cute guy and invited him to the game on Saturday that I won tickets for, later on in the conversation, he seemed to lose interest and at the end of the night, only gave me a one-arm hug. I'll still probably go through with the game, because we'll probably have fun, but I don't see it going any further than that if he's not going to pull his weight when it comes to expressing interest.
Food is back under control. I'm just struggling mostly on weekends, so I need to figure out how to resolve that. It's an inner battle I need to deal with on my own, unfortunately.
Busy day at the office today. Trying to finish up one report as well as work on a second one by the end of the week. Have a great day!
I'm going to succeed because I'm crazy enough to think I can!

Our 11 yr old dog had to have surgery on his eye yesterday, so I am slow today after a nite of trying to keep him from rubbing the stitches off - even though he is wearing a cone. Poor guy is miserable this morning. Luckily DH can be home with him while I go to work.
The sun is supposed to be out, but it is dang cold! Have a great day everyone!

Good morning team. Woke up early (after being up and down with a sick kiddo) and did yoga. My eyes can barely stay open. I've got one pukey/poopy kid and one kid coughing her head off. DH is staying home with them as I can't miss work today.
Weight is slowly coming back down after the beer, cake, and steak of my bday weekend. Everyone have a great day.

Good morning! I am checking in a little late because I took advantage of our "spring" weather. My fitness buddy is leaving on vacation later this week so we moved up our long walk to enjoy the warmth of spring. We left really early to beat the coming rain, and got back to the gym early enough for me to catch half of the pilates class. So, a good fitness day so far. If the rain holds off, my lunch buddy and I might get a walk in, too!
Nutrition was light yesterday due to tummy ache. I felt the need to cleanse, but I don't do anything radical--just ate light and included greek yogurt and lots of hot tea.
Hope everyone has a great day!!

Mornin a little late checking in. Rushed morning.
I got in total lazy mode after dinner last night with hubby sick. He went to bed early, I got all snugly on the couch with the remote. I saw that Mike and Molly was a rerun so I forced myself to get off the couch and did two quick spark people videos.
That is so unlike me once I get in that lazy mode.
Tonight I meet with the trainer. No chance of lazy mode tonight!
