Feeling kind of achy, hoping I can head off whatever is trying to take hold. Slept in a bit, went out for breakfast (total waste of calories) and then to the Museum of Flight, which is alway fascinating and somehow managed 19 minutes of moderate walking in the process!

Good afternoon team!! :) I just finished a 7.45 mi run (my longest distance so far) in 80:43 (about a min and a half faster than last sat, the first time i ever ran that far.... and all while down with the flu). I actually felt better while running, as I think it helped clear the crud that was in my lungs. Lol, I know a lot of people think i'm crazy for running when sick with the flu, but well... I love the feeling of running. I was unable to work out yesterday (which drove me almost crazy) as I couldn't keep food down for half the day, but am feeling a lil better so I figured i'd run ;) I'm working on training for my first half marathon this may.

Happy birthday, Mandy! I love to see everyone's weekend plans. I woke up this morning with one thing on my mind: Peak10 More Cardio Interval Burn! I love when I wake up wanting to work out! =P Yesterday wasn't the best day for food, but I finished reading Rich Roll's book "Finding Ultra". I am so inspired by his story! I already practice a vegan and largely whole foods diet, but I DO eat those foods that are technically vegan but still processed. I want to step up my physical game and really get rid of the foods that aren't "good" for me. That means you, Clif Builder20 bars (I eat these everyday)! It's a surprisingly sunny day, so the husband, kiddo and I are going to walk into town to the book store. UFC fights tonight to cap it all off! I hope everyone has a great day!

Happy Birthday Mandy - and Happy Weekend everyone. Getting ready to run out the door and visit sis, then work till ten and up early for lighting at church then visit sis again. Hoping to find a little down time tomorrow and get a bit extra rest. Finding that nutrition isn't too bad unless I get over tired and right now, that's a tough one to avoid.

It's my birthday today! Weight is slightly up after birthday lunch with coworkers yesterday and birthday dinner with family. Enjoyed a big steak, beer and cake! Will celebrate with the girls and DH today. We are going for a hike at Palo Duro Canyon and then my favorite - the oyster bar. It is supposed to be 63 degrees here today! YAY!
Everyone have a great day!

Good morning! Wow, I feel like a teenager--sleeping in so late! ha ha. I've actually been up for a while helping fix breakfast for the granddaughter. Now she is down for her early morning nap. My lesson learned yesterday--don't underpack your lunch with good intentions to eat less and then go to the grocery store right after work. Big container of mixed nuts was promptly raided when I unpacked the groceries. Guess it could have been worse. It seems like my cravings have shifted from carbs/sweets to nuts. For me, I think that is healthier, but still dangerous because I don't adhere to portion control so well.
We have a gathering at the farm after the guys finish goose hunting today. There will be lots of lean meat as the hunters share their favorite game recipes. Great friends and fellowship to nourish our emotional health needs!
Went out to eat last night. This morning, no weight gain! I even changed the batteries in the scale cuz my weight has not moved in a couple of days and I wanted to make sure it was right. I can't say I ate all that healthy last night plus I had a couple of beers. Now to maintain the rest of the weekend. Today should be a decent day, but tomorrow looks to be quite interesting. Winter Storm Watch starting tomorrow morning. That means any errands that need to be run, need to be done today.
Have a great weekend!

So far, it's been a great weekend. Had a terrific time at the basketball game last night, and now getting ready for a long run. Spin and yoga classes later this morning, then a little bit of a break (NAP!), then a hair appointment and trivia night with my girlfriends. Going to be a busy but fun day.
