Had a great food day. I did have a mini milkyway midnight and thought it was waaaay to sweet. Wish I didn't eat it. Went to spin class and now I'm exhausted. Looking forward to a good night's sleep and maybe temperatures out of the teens tomorrow!

I'm doing good, did some aerobics while waiting for lunch to cook, which was roasted sweet potatoes and bratwurst. I parboiled them. I feel so accomplished. It's tutoring day so I'll be driving around all afternoon, and then Costco during the second tutor. I have been on hiatus from Costco for a couple months.

Hello! It's not that I'm overscheduled today, just that I'm overtired. I think my daughter may have given me whatever bug she had, so I'm exhausted today. Add AF into the mix, and I'm about ready to fall asleep at my desk.
Given the PMS eating I've been doing and the lovely AF bloat, I was very happy to see 139.2 on the scale this morning. It's been hard to believe/accept, but I'm maintaining in the 130s!
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?

Add me to the "overscheduled" list! Did good nutritionally yesterday but not much movement. Tonight taking Mom and her gentleman friend out to a toney restaurant to celebrate her 90th birthday (which was Sunday). Last night went to a symphony concert. Not sure how I'm going to get the house tidy enough to be cleaned Friday. I also worry that the stress and overwork has left me vulnerable to a cold. Sue--enjoy your pressure cooker. If you haven't got them already, I highly recommend Lorna Sass's cookbooks. She does seem to like her beans less done than I do, but generally her recipes are terrific. I made braised red cabbage with German sausage in my pressure cooker last night. No recipe for that, just took several ideas from several places.

Overscheduled seems like a common theme today. Got a reprieve on editing some management reports when a teammate weighed in and said she was making the revisions on hers. Yay! On the other hand, a major manufactured crisis sprang up, and peons at my level are the dumping ground...and the dumped product reeketh mightily. These are never well-planned data calls with a basis in reality, only OMG! Hair on Fire! drills that we are supposed to treat as drop-everything-else important. Totally hosed my to do list for today and interrupted my boss's much-needed and well-deserved vacation. I so need to retire.

Another blast of Arctic Air. Really tired of this cold weather.
Amanda-I can sympathize with you. Last summer I went for a run with a friend and all she did was cry and talk about her break up with her boyfriend. Needless to say, I haven't gone running with her since.
Honey buns, yum! One of my favorites. I also like the Hostess ones. They have more frosting on them.
I did pretty well yesterday. I ate reasonably except I fried chicken for sandwiches last nght and I ate one. I usually don't do that. So far the scale has been very good to me. I've been hanging out at the same weight. I keep thinking I should put new batteries in it just in case it's wrong.
Today I'm on the treadmill again, folloed by going to my moms and then possibly grocery shopping.
Have a great day!

Was doing well nutritionally till I didn't plan yesterday and had Hawaii bread in the cupboard (yum). So if I am going to stay for any length of time at lower end of weight range have to plan so my protein stays up, carbs down. Been getting a lot done around the house, organizing, chores and that feels good.

It's continued to be a weird and tough week at work, unfortunately. Hoping things go a little better today (and if not, well, the weekend is right around the corner). Time to go do my morning workout and make my oatmeal.

Good morning! Sounds like everyone is doing well! Hope today is wonderful for everyone.
I did okay during the day yesterday, got my two 15-min walking breaks in at work, ate right.... until I got home. First day of TOM and I was miserable. Good thing there was only a quarter bag of tostitos left otherwise I would have eaten the whole bag.
Today is a new day. Fingers crossed!

Good morning team. Didn't check in yesterday. It was a busy day. Did some run/walk intervals yesterday at the park with an acquaintance. I'm not going to invite her for a workout anymore. If she invites me, I'll go, but all of her complaining and then apologizing for complaining really got me down.
I got up early this morning and did 2 miles on the treadmill. A little faster than what I usually run, so it was a nice challenge.
Everyone have a great day!

What a nice day DH & I had yesterday! We shopped together at a huge supermarket 13 miles away which stocks a lot of healthy, organic food along with the regular stuff. Except for Those "Little Debbie honeybuns" DH was very good. He was even reading nutrition labels.
Then we drove in the other direction to our nearest large city where I bought a pair of compression tights and we shopped at a local healthy foods coop. They have a farm that grows organic veggies all year and stocks some brands that are impossible to find elsewhere.
All told it was nearly 100 miles of driving, but I don't do it often.
I got my strength training in too, in spite of my issues with Jillian that I just wrote about.
It's still freezing outside, so I'm off to the gym for interval speedwork on the tm.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning! Dusting of snow in VA this morning. Pretty. Finished my essay and sent it off to my writing group yesterday. That always feels great. Planning to hop on the elliptical today for a hard aerobic workout. Spark on, friends!

good morning, it's amazing how the miles pile up here when we don't have a car - the day starts with a morning walk-run for a total of 5 miles, then two extra walks of 2 miles each and there you are, 9 miles. and at the top of a hill, according to the fitbit, 80 floors...
tried the new pressure cooker for the first time, wasn't happy with cans and cans of beans. nutrition went well, though i've not been tracking again. the scale is still happy, though...

Good morning!
I'm in the same "too much to do and too little time to do it" boat. Today, I'm off to Tunica, Mississippi for a conference I've been spending the last 6 months help plan, where I was in charge of the hotel and food and beverage. The past two weeks have just been draining, because of all the energy I've had to spend on this PLUS my regular job, where it is peak time. I will definitely have to work this weekend, but at least I can work from home.
My weight and body fat are good: only up 0.2 pounds from last Thursday and down for body fat! I also slept really well last night, so I'm ready to take on the day after a run with my running group this morning.
Speaking of which, I'd better jet and join them. Have a great Thursday, everyone!

Good morning team mates! I'm up too early, after awaking and remembering I brought paperwork home which needs to be reviewed. I just have too much to do and need to ask for help--which is problematic for multiple reasons and one of those areas of my life which needs work. I appreciate having this check-in, and reading about everyone's daily trials, temptations, encouragement and successes.
Yesterday my nutrition was good, but I didn't take time to enter it all in the tracker. I guess that's okay, but I know how effective this tool is for losing pounds. I was glad to get the extra walk in at noon. With windchill it's 1 degree so my normal Thursday long walk will be replaced with a cycle fit class this morning.
Wishing everyone a great Thursday!!
