One of my blogs went popular, which has been wild. I feel like I'm in one of those flash games where you work in a restaurant, except its keeping up with spark emails. I am overwhelmed at the positive energy!
Losers Keepers: Transition to Maintenance
Take care of that runny nose, ONEWEIGH! Mine led to a sinus infection and bronchitis. It must be a virus, because my symptoms have lasted a full two weeks and I'm not over it yet. Baby yourself, and maybe you will fight it off!
Got great restful sleep the past two nights since we started sleeping on our new mattress. If you have sleep problems, consider getting one.
We went to McAlisters Deli a couple of days ago. I got the Spud Olé, saved half of it and will have it for lunch in a few minutes. I got it with veggie chili. Those potatoes they make are huge! At some point I realized they actually put two potatoes end to end with the illusion that they are serving you one whole huge potato. Love it!

I slept in because I have the MLK holiday off. I've got a runny nose so I think taking it easy is wise--I don't want to get sick. I'll spend some time working on music and doing chores at home and away. I wish I had more energy.
It's cold here too this morning.. so my walk will be a shorter one today..I'll just have to spend more minutes on the stationary bike..

My weekend was filled with work.... 2 12 hour shifts.... but I have today and tomorrow off so I plan to do some exercise... get my eyes checked... do some house cleaning... today is the first day my hubby goes to his afternoon shift... he has been on days for amonth for training... also our roommate is on afternoons... so that means i now i have my afternoons totally to myself to do what I want when i want and no more wrestling on tv 4 out 7 nights.... lol
Thursday i get to go so my hearing dr and get my hearing terst done to seeif my hearing aids need to be adjusted... having trouble with my left ear... then after that I go see my lapband dr for afill.... hopefully that will cut donw on my hunger and I get back to my normal routine and I can lose the 15# i have gained since they took it all out in november
so wishing everyone a beautiful monday filled with water, exercise and good food choices...

Yay! It's Monday!
I slept excitedly last night. I don't know exactly what to call it. I was up and down waiting for the alarm to go off so that I could start my new workout program. Finally, 6 minutes before the alarm I jumped out of bed and got to it. LOVE!
Our son was visiting from college for the weekend. We didn't see much of him, though. I had the pleasure of driving him back to campus this morning... it's about a 45 minute drive, so I had a little chance to catch up with him.

Back to the grind today. 3 days of questionable eating, bumped my weight back up after 3 weeks of being 'good' and getting back to my pre-Christmas weight. (Talking 5 lbs up, down and back up). Ugh!
Still trying to overcome the binge urges on some days (even with healthy, low calorie food)--what is it with food and it's power over the brain???? Friday I had 3 big pieces of pizza (not so healthy) and today, I feel bloated from eating too much (healthy) baked chicken and too many (healthy) mixed vegetables yesterday.
It's OK, I am learning and STILL trying to learn maintainable self-control.
Update! NO MORE Wiggle room on my weight! Still figuring out how to keep balance and stay in charge. Staying active but could step it up again.

Hi all, it's been a while. I took a mini-break over the holidays, and I'm finally back in the swing of things.
Even with the break, I'm down to about the lowest weight I can ever remember being at. Struggling with the transition from losing to maintenance - I know in my mind those extra 250 calories are there if I want them, but I haven't yet switched my settings from losing 1/2lb/week. IDK what my ideal weight is, though, so I figure I'll keep doing what I'm doing now, since I don't feel at all deprived.
And I went for a run yesterday. It felt great. Up until now, my weight loss has been totally nutrition - based. I'm a new-ish mom (holy cow, my baby is 11 months old?!), and I'm still trying to work out the logistics of fitting a run in 5x/week. I'd love to get up to 15-20 miles/week, but it's going to be slow going at this rate.
If you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over?
What is right is not always easy, and what is easy is not always right.
Did my usual strength training this morning along with 100 push-ups, so I'm feeling like egg noodles right about now, especially on top of that long run yesterday (12.75 miles). Food was OK, but trying to find that happy balance between food and exercise is still boggling the mind a little. Got a lot of errands and cooking done yesterday, so I slept VERY well last night.
Tonight, I go swimming, so I'm looking forward to that. Also need to finally officially register for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon in May, so I'll take care of that today or tomorrow.

Just finished doing resistance band workouts with Coach Nicole using my new heavier resistance band - holy smokes was that hard! I'm about to have my usual oatmeal & OJ, and I've got my lunch and work snack set aside already.
I've got work today (boo!), but it will be an easy day since our office is pretty empty on holidays. It also means that I'll be able to head to the gym a little earlier than usual this afternoon.

Good morning, it is good we have the internet for days we can't get out of the house for sure. It is frigid here in the Chicago area today! We don't have a fenced in yard so I have to go out with the dog when she has to go and hubby is out of town. BRRRRR
I did Violet Zaki's 20 minute fat blaster cardio scuplt video available on spark people and now I'm going to work from home a bit before I have to go wait for the glass guy to fix my back car window after the tree branch went through it.
So kind of a day off today. The scale was kind to me this morning so it's a good Monday!

Team Leader One Day Challenge
It got into the 60s here yesterday! Did 4 miles run/walk intervals with some friends around the neighborhood. Cooked some food for the freezer and did laundry. It was a productive day.
Got up early today and did some ST. The girls have school (BOO!) so I'll go to the office and try to get something done.

Good morning. Sorry to her Ree is still housebound and yes, yay for the internet--an exercise equipment--when the weather gets bad. I'm doing the elliptical today and some upper body work inside too as the temp is dropping for the week into the low digits.
Yesterday was glorious in VA. I walked with a buddy for 4 miles and then met another friend who wanted to walk her dogs in the state park. Haven't been outside so much since summer and it felt great. Watched football with my husband a bit and made some real progress on my essay at last.

good morning! sunday was pleasant, low 70s most of the day. took a 5 mile walk in the morning with pelle the BC, then DH felt well enough that we took a 2 mile walk before dinner. nutrition went fairly well yesterday, though tracking has been slipping. still, the scale isn't complaining...
have a good monday!

Good morning! Brrrrr it's cold outside. In some former life, I might have stayed in bed this morning. But it's off to the gym for 30 min cardio and 60 min of a ST class. Nutrition today is pure protein and a determination to track everything, as I have been lax.
