It was a pretty good day today! I got in my walk/jog at break and made sure to bounce around on the exercise ball that I use at my desk at work (but only while I wait for pages and images to load). It was a surprisingly "no hunger" day. I even got myself a locally made vegan oatmeal bar to go with my afternoon tea and ate about half of it before storing it away. Usually I'm starving in the afternoon! I did my Peak10 cardio interval workout, and nothing makes me feel quite as accomplished as getting through that and knowing that I did better than last time! Well, I was also on a high because I think the stomach bug sweeping through my house skipped over me. That's always awesome!

Did great today on food, no candy or anything remotely unhealthy, and I went to spin class. Still have about 125 calories to eat for the day.

Doing good today. Got in Stretching and Curves and watched portions. Getting ready for a snow fall tonight. Might get in some shoveling tomorrow, but usually here in NC we just wait for it to melt.

Weighed in down another half pound from last week, despite having a big bacon cheeseburger yesterday. I'm down 7lbs from my goal weight, but 3 more to go to be a "normal" BMI. I haven't had a normal BMI since high school, which I graduated from almost 13 years ago. But, I'm just going to keep doing what I'm doing, and life my life (which will now include NHL hockey games up to 3 times a week). If I lose more, great, if I don't, no big deal.

Another busy day at work. Looking forward to dinner out with sisters-in-law and mom, celebrating mom's 90th birthday. I'm eating light during the day, but still expect a weight spike tomorrow morning.

Slow return to health - with a walk yesterday (not quite a mile in 23 minutes and then chest pain meant no further). Hoping to walk a little further today. Sweet tooth at night seems to take over and is very hard to satisfy (this came out of the blue). Eating good till that hits in the pm.

I’m now on my 6 day streak of exercise and am so proud of myself! Weighed in at 187.2 which is good since I’ve been seeing 188 all week. I’ve been sleeping a lot better because of the constant exercise and have a lot more energy for rehearsal than I would have previously. Overall, I’m feeling pretty good and remain positive.

Not a lot to say. Closing at work tonight and then going back in at 7AM - 4PM Friday and Saturday. Hoping these new meds kick in soon and that I get a little relief, some better sleep, feel more like my old self soon. Did pretty good nutritionally yesterday and had leftovers to package up of the salsa chicken. I think I'll make a double batch next time. So many good springboard recipes to make out of that one and such a good swap out for the normally fat and calories laden mexican food!

I did my cardio and walking this morning. On deck this evening is more walking, some thigh ST, and yoga. I always track my food in advance, which seems to be the best system for me - writing it down in advance commits me to it, and makes me less interested in adding anything else to it because I already know I'm meeting my needs and don't want to have to go back in and adjust things. This morning I had my usual breakfast (oatmeal). I have leftovers from last night, an orange, and a Ziplock of pumpkin seeds & edamame with me, and my partner is making lentil soup tonight.
Have a great day everyone!

I really enjoy reading through everyone's posts on here. Thanks so much, you guys!
Day 1 of the cleanse is over. I don't know why it happens but every time I've done a cleanse I get emotional. My mind brought my fears to a forefront yesterday. It seemed as though I was side-swiped, out of the clear blue.
It's good to let go. Letting go of those things that haunt me physically (constipation) and mentally (past hurts) is vital to my journey.
Out with the old and in with the new! Here's to a better day!

Tried a new machine at the Y yesterday that I'd also seen at Planet Fitness before...the arc trainer- I thought it looked awkward, but I was finally brave enough to give it a shot, (after watching a youtube video on how to operate it), and I think I will use it again! It was different , but I like it.

Our 4th day of rain. We need it, but it sure makes running difficult. So off to the gym I go. The plan is 4 miles with speed work in the middle.
Then grocery shopping. 3 grandkids will be spending the long weekend with us.
The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

Had a fun dinner with a friend and fitness instructor last night. We talked all things healthy and ate like champs. Healthy food of course! Nice to be with someone who so completely shares my health goals.

so enjoying the sun, even the heat, here on molokai. we live at the top of a hill so any time we go out, a walk involves many "stairs" on the fitbit. i'm happiest when the lifestyle itself requires exercise and effort, rather than having to make a decision to *do* something. we broke 9 miles yesterday!

Good morning!
So I was able to flush out 2 pounds of water weight, which makes me happy. I still overate a bit last night, but not as bad as the previous 5 days, so I'm slowly getting back to normal. Swimming was GREAT last night, and when I got home, my Fitbit was resurrected! WOOHOO!
Also had an AWESOME night sleep (first 7+ hour sleep night on a weeknight in a LONG time), so I'm off to go running, then a spin class tonight. Have a great day!
Calories were 4 over the high end of my range - but DH and I walked around after supper, and I got in another 4000 steps. Nutrition was not good, but, well, it was a travel day and I have to make do with what I can find.
I commit to developing myself in a positive manner and avoid anything that will impair my mental growth or physical health.

Good morning! I only slept about 4 hours last night--this work deadline has my adrenalin up, I guess. So I am enjoying the early quietness with a fresh cup of coffee and hanging out with my SP buddies. Wouldn't it be fun to meet up for coffee some morning?
Today is my long walk with my friend and puppy dogs. The connection is the best part, since she can't run any more, but she's a fast walker and we get some hills in. Since my big lab is nearing 10 yrs. old, we start our walk at the gym and walk past my house and drop him off--he can't handle the full walk anymore but at least he gets in a mile or so.
I'm going to finish the deadline project today and move on with life! (crossing my fingers...). Happy Thursday to all!
