Wow, I'm late checking in today. I got to the gym early to get my favorite treadmill - the one in front of a fan. A short run and then aerobics/weights class - really energetic this morning. I liked it!

I am feeling GOOD! I walked with my coworker and pushed my friends daughter in her wheelchair this morning for 30 minutes and then did 40 minutes of Zumba. (The instructor comes to our school and is a friend of mine.) I ate slightly below my calories so I am feeling pretty darn successful today!

Today I was in a better place, but now two of my kids are sick. :-( It's a hard winter for that so far--it seems like we just keep passing norovirus back and forth.
I hope the migraine went away! I hate headaches.

Yet another busy day at work. I have to get it into my head that this is the new normal and that I need to take REAL breaks and get out to walk. The work will stll be there when I get back. I did get out to drop some mail and get cash and indulged myself with one of Starbucks new Vanilla Spice Lattes. WITH WHIP! But I ordered a tall...something I usually wouldn't do unless someone else was buying. When it comes to coffee I'm a venti kind of gal! So I enjoyed my treat (though it's too sweet for every day) and still had calories left in my allowance for a decent dinner.

Good evening all! Checking in late today. It's been an interesting week on jury duty. Back t work tomorrow.
I was worried about my streaks having to sit all day for the past three days. Luckily we are having a mild winter so I was able to walk after lunch each day. I went to subway for lunch and ordered the chicken breast sandwich, with veggies, no condiments, apple slices and water.
We had to leave cell phones in the cars so after my walk, I walked up the 60+ stairs to my car to call my husband. I made it to the gym last night for a 3-mile run and mucho upper body work
As we deliberated today, they gave us pizza and Pepsi for lunch. Then hubby took me out for pizza tonight. Oh well. Tomorrow is another day.
I hope everyone is having a great evening!

Hi all, I have a migraine headache and took Ibuprofen. I hope this medication works. If not then I will be at the doctor's tomorrow. I hope that I do not have the flu. I walked my little doggy three times today and will walk him one more time before bedtime. Best wishes, Linda from bean town

Slightly below calories tonight. Didn't get to Curves but will get stretching in for sure. The reason I didn't get to Curves is that a brand new Bagle place opened today. I passed it on the way to Mass this morning and saw the big banner. Here in NC we don't have any decent bread (I try to avoid it anyway, so no great loss for me) The owners are a couple from our Church who come from Brooklyn,so they KNOW a good deli! They actually owned one in NYC so we've all been waiting with baited breath for the pace to open. I called a friend to tell her it was open. She wanted to meet there for breakfast and after Mass I told 2 others and we ended up with 5 of us going for bagels. Well, opening day and tomorrow they are giving away free bagels and coffee. I had a Sesame Seed, toasted with light butter. It was delicious! I have watched every bite the rest of the day. Now I have to search the menu and see what I can get when we go back, as I know this will not be the last time I darken their door!
Attitude is everything, pick a good one!

Weighed in at 188.2 today and although I don’t think I’ll be able to hit my goal of 184 by this Saturday, I remain hopeful. I’m never giving up!

It's been a couple of days since I've checked in. My daughter was home all week with the flu. She's finally back to school today. Luckily, being home with her was therapeutic for the both of us. I drilled her with fresh foods and fresh fruit smoothies, and of course my famous chicken noodle soup. Being home with just the two of us gave me a chance to sort out my goals: weigh 125 and be healthy and strong.
I'm proud to say that I'm on day 4 of a streak. I've stayed within calorie range for 4 days. I gained a whooping 10 pounds in the month of December by being too lax. Since I'm new to maintenance, I wasn't sure how lax I could be. Now I know. A lesson learned and I'm so thankful that I'm learning it now.
I'm delighted to report that I have lost 2 pounds. That's mostly diet alone. Yay!

Good Morning Everyone! Busy last few days-- Weight is in range 148.4--exercise is good. I made it to gym right after work yesterday, because I have my bag pre-packed and in the car! That's my healthy behavior for the week :)

Good morning!
So far, it's been a good day, though I did eat a little too much chocolate this morning...but I'm still doing ok as far as my food range.
Unfortunately, I came to the decision that I need to drop out of step class for a bit. I've developed a problem with my foot, though it doesn't bother me when I run...just when I do step class, because my right foot really takes a pounding (I'm a VERY enthusiastic stepper!). So now that I have skin where I need to have skin after my spill in December, I've replaced my bathing suit (a sorta-racing suit that's a lot more daring than my old one...though I've noticed I don't have as much cellulite to show off! YAY!) and am now headed back to the pool. I was just doing too much high-impact stuff, and I need to do more low and non-impact stuff to balance the running.

Good morning team. Finally a day off and SO MUCH to do, but at least I'm feeling a bit rested after sleeping almost 10 hours. Have a Dr. Appt this coming Monday, and hopefully will figure out what's going on with my core (lower ab and back pain) and will get my hormones straightened out so that I can sleep. Made some REALLY great lower fat pulled pork yesterday in the slow cooker. Going to check out the Salsa Chicken recipe from Spark today or tomorrow. The leftovers will be great for later in the week.

Good morning!!
I was super busy yesterday and didn't get a chance to check in. I had a burger and fries for lunch yesterday. It was delicious! I'm really focusing on the 80/20 rule right now. 80% healthy 20% not so healthy. It seems to be getting the job done without tracking. Weight is hovering at the low end of range.
My 5 am boot camp class is getting cancelled :( I live in a small town and there aren't a lot of options for classes. They have a 7:00 pm class, but that just really isn't convenient for me. Thinking about my options. There is an anytime fitness in town, but they don't offer any classes. It would be me vs the weight room.

Good Morning!
I gave myself a cheat day yesterday after my Dr. appt. I've just had this terrible sweet tooth and have been nibbling here and there since Christmas. I have managed to stay with a couple of lbs of my goal, but decided to eat my cookies, etc. and just get it out of my system and not feel guilty about it. I ate lots of cookies. To think I would do that much more when I was obese. Today, I haven't had a craving for anything sweet. I've had my protein shake for breakfast and after I'm done here, I'm going to get on the treadmill.
Have a nice day!

Good Morning Team
Still feels like Spring here with lows in the mid-50s. I can't believe our coldest month is just around the corner, feels like Winter is on its way out...
Yesterday I had a great dinner of spaghetti squash w/ meat sauce. But... then I got into the cereal late night so I went over in calories :( That's what I get for eating fast food for breakfast, no wiggle room at night.
Tonight I'm hoping the gym will be dead so I can mix up my workout and do circuit training. I find it difficult to circuit train in a public gym since people are always hopping on the machines that are next in my routine.
Since my race, I've been doing more CT than running. It's time to pick it back up if I want to run the 15k in April!!

Maree - Few of us are perfect, we just move on Phebess - Good news on your medical report
I'm off to the gym this morning for some speedwork. OK, speed is a relative term, but I plan intervals faster than my cruising speed.
Leftovers for dinner except for the garlic couscous. We ate it all up yesterday. I really like that stuff.

So glad Phebess, that your medical news was not dire!
Good morning, everyone. I'm looking forward to a long walk today and some ST. Also have a long conversation planned with a friend who lives across the country. We keep in touch once a week and our weekly talks often feel like a hug. Feel fortunate to have such a friend.
Take care everyone and have a Spark-ed day!

Had a bit of a medical scare today - between the exam and the testing, DH and I ate comfort foods (carbs) - post testing, at least there wasn't dire news - so we celebrated (with more carbs).
At least I ended the day in range. And got in some walking.

Hi on Thursday. Maree I have lots of new starts. It's no use beating ourselves up after an event. I try to learn from my mistakes . I just sorted the freezer out which is an upright drawer one. I put all chicken packs in one, fish in another. Fruit and veg in a third. So I count them as my safety net food items . I need to stick a red warning sign on 4 th drawer which has higher fat foods in . Will it work? I do not know but it's a step in right direction . Plus I can find things easier . Have a good day team. Irene

Good morning! Yesterday was going good until after dinner when I broke into the fudge that had been given to us as a Christmas gift. I'm not happy about that. Today the SP email message says something like "it's okay not to be perfect." So I am starting a new day today. Probably would do me good to do a little soul-searching to determine what set me off and remind myself of better ways to handle stress.
On the agenda is a long walk with my gym fitness buddy and the puppy dogs--that is always good for the soul. I have plenty of healthy leftover options in the refrigerator.
So, here's to a good day!!
