Hi all- I left work about 5 minutes early, I made it to zumba on time and we had a new instructor. He was fantastic! I am going to try and make every Tuesday. I started the January Jumpstart challenge, but am having trouble sticking with it. Mostly I forget to do the videos when I get home. Doing good with calories for the day, All and all, pretty good.

Doing OK today. Missed my Curves workout due to a dental appt., but got there this afternoon. Below calories today. Not by much but below. Hopefully that will bring those 3.5 pounds over goal into a better range.

Today is the 38th anniversary of when I met my husband on a blind date. We will go to Moe's tonight. I'm excited!

After 6 days with no workout, I motivated my butt to get out the door and take a walk.

Hi everyone!

Did well yesterday as far as getting in a good amount of activity/staying on track with food and started out today with a strength training class. The challenge for me on strength training days is getting enough cardio activity in to burn a reasonable number of calories, so probably going to stop back at the gym on the way home to hit the treadmill or bike.

Binged last night, so of course my weight was 1lb heavier than yesterday. I do however, remain hopeful. I bought a ton of fruits/veggies yesterday evening, so I’ve got my “healthy eating arsenal” to curb any cravings for processed foods.
Onward and upward!

Good morning, everyone!
Life is good, my weight is in range, my kids are well, and I think all the growing pains/relationship crises (me, and two of my kids and their respective SO's were all in potential crisis the last week...weird) I think us girls have issues with our hormones that we are still working on figuring out :) It really throws the balance out of life and it shows in how I eat/exercise/cope with stress and little hurts. I'm back up to my original maintenance weight of 148...had been as low as 144.2 over past week.
Now I'm enjoying a cup of coffee and a short break from my work to check in. I love being in a good mood, and that is my usual state; it really reminds me to be grateful for it when I've missed it for several days in a row.
I'm so glad I had my positive Spark Friends to "creep" on during my week of the funk...it helped me to not get completely lost- so thank you to everyone!

I did extremely well yesterday until 9pm. When I should have gone to bed because I was very tired I stayed up and watch some TV. My biggest downfall is sitting in front of the TV. I eat and I did . I blew my whole day in 1.5 hours. chips, nuts and cereal plus ice cream!!!! Boy am I crazy. Now that all the junk food is out of the house maybe I will learn to do something with my hands while watching TV other than eat!

I got a really short walk in yesterday but by the time I got home my neck was aching. I could have pushed but didn't. I really NEED to exercise.

Did well yesterday on food. Got a little walk in, rehearsal in the evening. In that group we pretty much sing for 2 hours straight, so I think it counts as activity! We met with a lawyer yesterday to do estate planning and get our wills written. It's hard not to get emotional about making all those decisions. I'm glad we're doing it, it just left me feeling a bit raw. Jane: I've made butternut squash mac and cheese. I ended up using more squash than the recipe called for, so it was good, but you weren't going to think it was mac and cheese.

Today will test my motivation. It's 26* out there! Here I go for a run, but I don't know how long or how far. I drove to the gym for aerobics/weigths class yesterday. I feel surprisingly good after 20 minutes of weights (40 min of aerobics). Perhaps it's time for heavier weights?

The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

I feel so much better (and so much better about myself) now that I'm back in a regular exercise routine after a hard semester/the holidays/lots of illness. My daughter is still sick, but my hubby managed it okay yesterday (the 1st time I've ever left a sick kid!). Biking again today.

Morning Team :)

I'm very proud of myself for meeting my goals yesterday. I wanted the 250 trophy and I didn't leave the gym until it was mine! I got into the chocolates while running my bath last night, which made me go slightly over in calories, but everything else was within range.

Glad you're feeling better Tortise!

Jane, let me know how the dish turns out.. I'm trying to figure out what to do with the butternut I have in my freezer.

I'm definitely having a John Mellencamp kind of day: I hurt so good! I really worked hard at strength training yesterday, and I feel it all over. Ran 6 miles this morning, and will be headed to at least step class tonight (we'll see if I have enough umph for Zumba afterwards).

Food is still fine...I'm keeping it healthy, and I'm going to try a new recipe this weekend: butternut mac and cheese! It's on the SparkRecipes site, and my sister-in-law wants me to be the guinea pig to see if I think it's something my brother would eat.

So I'm off to finish getting ready to head into the office...have a great day, everyone!

Good morning Spark Friend....not quite as in check as I would have liked, but today is a new day. WHY must all social situations revolve around food?!? Working today and tomorrow 7-4 and have a lot to catch up on. Going to just shoot for keeping the stress under control and then get to bed early and avoid the late night munchies.

Good morning team!

Just finished a yoga dvd. I'm still new to yoga and am really starting to enjoy it. One of my 2013 goals was more time with the girls. I let them help with dinner last night. They had fun. Have a few more ideas up my sleeve. I am excited about following through.

Good morning. Recovering from a four day sickness where I barely made 3000 steps. Ugh. There needs to be a new category: calorie burn while laying on the sofa! LOL Really, I am finding my sense of humor about this. What can you do when you feel terrible and have a fever but rest up. Today is a new day though and I intend to take a long walk at an easy pace to get back into the game. Hope everyone has a great day! It feels good to be alive and healthy again!

good morning! we are in seattle, on our way to molokai for the next three months. seems like restaurant meals are balanced by not having time to snack. no time for exercise, but the fitbit still says over 10,000 steps and 20 flights of stairs for monday. more errands today, tomorrow we'll be traveling...

Hi on Tuesday. I started well with 15 minutes of my exercise plan, a healthy breakfast followed.
Later I will be walking to a meeting of a fellowship club. Weight staying much the same I am aiming for a pound off this month.

Good morning team! Yesterday was a good day, got an extra walk in at lunch with a friend as we had sunshine and 30 some degree weather. Pilates and treadmill workout this morning. I have to do better nutrition tracking and drink more water.

Work is too busy and it exhausts me. ugh.
