Hi. Haven't checked in in awhile. I'm doing good, I've been hanging steady at 145ish since before Christmas. Sort of shocked me because I thought I really overdid it through the holidays and didn't track for almost 2 weeks.
CAT, isn't buying new clothes fun? I'm slowly updating my wardrobe too. On Wednesday I'm finally taking the plunge and buying all new "underthings". Mine are all from 40-50lbs ago and they're not comfortable to wear. My mom gave me a Nordstrom gift card and I got some cash from BF's parents for Christmas, so I'm using those to get myself some nice new, high quality pretty things :)

Love the flavored water idea, I will have to try that. I weighed in higher than usual yesterday, but happily I was right back down this morning; I do not panic at a higher number unless my weight stays up there for more than a couple of days. Got out for a 9-mile run outside yesterday, today will be a lighter day at the gym. Now to keep my appetite in check today--I'm usually super hungry the day after a long run!

I can sure tell I didn't drink enough water over the weekend. I get too busy with granddaughter, it seems. Workout this morning included 30 min guaunlet and 60 min ST--step & pump class. I'm paying close attention to form to protect this "angry shoulder" from getting sore again. Today is a pure protein day and I'm heading out on a walk with a friend for 30 min. Cold fresh air should do me good.
Glad to hear about flavored water, new clothes, re-commitment to healthy foods...all part of this art of maintaining!! BTW did anyone see Al Roker's interview--lost a bunch of weight and during stressful time with his mother's health, he regained 40 lbs. !! He could learn a thing or two from our team, huh!! We should invite him to join. lol
Finally making progress!
Back at work after a long vacation, and boy does it feel good to be back to my regular routine. Weighed in a 190.8 which is about a pound away from my maintenance range. I am going to try to continue to lose weight (trying for 170), and see how my body feels at that point. Although I did gain a bit over the holiday season (as I expected being at my Popís house), all of my clothes still fit great.
Tracking is still a chore, but one that I continue to the best of my ability. Been fighting an upper resp infection, so exercise has been non-exsistant. Iím doing the best I can.
Things are looking up!

Been fighting the rebel in me lately - she just doesn't like the idea that this is a lifetime of eating differently. Yet she is not a very smart girl - the way she eats makes her end up not even feeling good. Time to say goodbye to her and her silly thoughts and ways - back to what I know makes me feel best. Haven't been tracking for quite some time and guess I need to get back on it.
Hello everyone! I love the apples and cinnamon flavored water idea. I'm going to try that today.
As for the apple cider vinegar, I used to put an ounce in 4 cups of water and drink it each morning. I heard on Dr. Oz that it helps you lose fat. I went through 2 qt size bottles of cider over about a 6 month period or so. I did lose weight but don't know if it was the healthy lifestyle or the cider.
I put on fluffy weight in December and I'm uncomfortable. It's time to put a reward on completing a goal like I used to do before maintenance. I'm thinking of splurging on a massage after I drop 5 pounds.
Maintenance is harder than I thought.

Good Morning team.
I'm still plugging along and managing to stay within my maintenance range. I do struggle with trying to drink the 8 glasses of water each day and have since the very start.
I flavour my water with a couple drops of Braggs organic apple cider vinegar and find it goes down easier this way.

Not a stellar day for me yesterday. We went to a football playoff party and I ate junk like I'd been starving. I won't do that next week! This morning it's back to rationality. I finally tried one of the breakfast sandwiches I made on New Year's Day. Pretty good, but I have to work on the timing for reheating. I'm getting off work early today so my husband and I can meet with a lawyer to get our wills written and all the other necessary stuff. Nothing like the death of a parent to get you in gear to get YOUR affairs in order! Choir rehearsal tonight, for which I'm unprepared. I really wish I could take a few days to catch up.
The naturally flavored water sounds great--would just add a little pizazz.
The flavored water sounds good. The Dining Services at the University here will put an asst. of fruit in their water. They use diff. melons and citrus and strawberries and cucumbers. It's not a strong taste, just enough for a bit of flavor.
Treadmill workout today. I have a test at the hospital this afternoon otherwise I would try a run around the lake.

Today is our first day back to school after 2 weeks off and I have a new student! I made my apple pie oatmeal and packed my lunch before bed last nite, got in my 28 Day Bootcamp and January Jumpstart videos this morning, and am ready to go back to the warmth of my bed - hahaha. No! I am ready for this day!

Just started something new...flavoring my water with apples! It's really easy and refreshing. You cut up an apple (I'm using crispin, but heard Fuji works well) and add a cinnamon stick, pour ice and water over it. Let it sit in the fridge for a little while and enjoy. You can refill the pitcher all day and the apples stay fresh. I added a couple teaspoons of lemon juice so the apples wouldn't turn brown, but maybe they would be fine without that. You can't taste the lemon. I think it's so light and refreshing. I finally found something with about 0 calories that I can enjoy and leave my diet sodas behind! No caffeine to worry about either!
I am starting a cold today, couldn't sleep very well last night.

I had a great day skiing yesterday with the family, except my youngest one barfed in the parking lot on the way home. :-( It was a long night.

I'm feeling super motivated this morning. Hope it lasts. Off to the gym for aerobics/weights class. 9 miles total over the weekend, but I need a push to pick up those weights. The class does that for me.
The race is not always to the swift, but to those who keep on running.

This week I'm GOING to get back on track. I logged all my food yesterday (even those late-night cookies!) which is an improvement, and I got in a thorough workout. Now I've just got fight to complete all scheduled workouts since I don't have any wiggle room with days off. Wednesday and Friday MUST be off days since I have plans.. so NO SKIPPING ALLOWED!
To help with accountability, I've shared my nutrition & fitness trackers on my page. Hopefully this will make me more mindful of what I eat, and deter me from skipping workouts since others could "see" it. We'll see...
Kitty-- you'll be back in the game before you know it, hang in there!
Jane-- it must feel wonderful to have all those new clothes hanging in your closet. You deserve it!
Had a good workout yesterday, but nutrition wasn't stellar and I failed on water.
Today, I have meals planned, already working on the water, and at least 40 fitness minutes on the schedule.

Good morning! After my lazy day yesterday, I am back on track. I got up early and did the SP 10-min kickboxing video.
I plan two 15-mi. Walks on breaks today and ill decide which workout tonight after grocery shopping.

It was so pretty yesterday, I took the girls to the park. They played while I ran. Love doing that. We all get a workout! It's back to school for them today, so back to the office, and back to routine! Yay!
My boot camp class was cancelled this morning because the instructor is sick. But I still got up early and did a Jillian Michaels dvd.

Jane,what a great feeling to buy new clothes and enjoy choosing them In a smaller size, I have relaxed a bit since Christmas . But today I am taking myself in hand , can't let the pounds pile on again or none of my clothes will fit. I did not keep any in larger sizes.
I need to plan better re meals so I always have something healthy to hand, Irene

Good morning, maintainers!
I got a ton of stuff organized last night for the week between getting my meals and snacks pre-portioned to sorting out even more clothes that need to be donated (bye-bye, size 12 stuff!) and a few other things that needed to get done. It felt GREAT.
Also forgot to mention that I ended up spending 3 hours shopping on Saturday for new clothes. Lots of steps (went to 4 stores in my neighborhood) and now I have 5 new tops, 4 new skirts, 3 new pairs of pants, 2 new pairs of running tights and yes, the partridge in a pear tree.
Well, I'm off to get set to go to the gym, so have a MARVELOUS Monday!
