So, just a few days into the New Year. Started the holidays out okay, but as the hectic pace increased, so, my resolve decreased. Could have ended up a lot worse, but now have ground to make up. Can't beat myself up. Just need to get back to tracking EVERYTHING and quit the late night munching and SUGAR!

Happy Friday, everyone! Going to try and get in the habit of checking in here at least briefly. Weight is doing its typical fluctuation (up a little today) but still within range; had a personal training session last night and my muscles are telling me they were worked in new ways. Looking forward to the weekend and a chance to sleep in a bit tomorrow.

Hi All,
Finally back from vacation, where the salt/content in almost everything I ate was sky high! Back home now, and getting back to my regular routine. Weighed in at 192.4 today which isn't bad but isn't good. My range was 185-189, but I'm getting back to it slowly but surely. Sick with an upper resp infection and as a result of that, haven't been able to get down to the gym like I want to. I'm sure that if I just went down there, I could get this holiday weight off. I've made a goal to lose an extra 15lbs by April, but at the rate things are going now, I'll never get there. I remain hopeful however and am tracking EVERYTHING. It ain't over until I say it's over!
Happy Friday All!

Good morning team.. it's nice to see so many people checking in. I was up a pound, most likely from the salty heavy pea soup last night, but it was a measurement week and both waist and hips are down .5 of an inch since last measure, a month ago.. that's the exercise.. and makes me happy..

Didn't weigh myself this morning, but yesterday I was 2.6 below my new goal of 147. I continue to eat below target-anxiety does this to me. Started with my plan to speak up for myself better last night, and I'm hoping it is the beginning of working toward relieving some of that anxiety. Have a great Friday and weekend!

I had a difficult semester (mostly life-wise) last semester, and my exercise suffered. I'm getting back into it, and I'm sore. :-( But... I'm getting back into it! :-)

Decided I need to be doing this thread, so here goes.
Finally back to Curves after a month waylaid with 2 broken ribs. Managed to do my daily stretching routine (somewhat modified) throughout that ordeal. I thought I was finally back on track after the Holidays but realized that I have a New Years Brunch tomorrow as well as some special Italian Feat (Three Kings maybe?) that I am invited to for tomorrow evening. The evening thing is a HUGE deal. Three sisters and a niece do all sorts of labor intensive Italian dishes and those of us lucky enough to snag an invitation scarf it down with great gusto! Doesn't sound very SP friendly does it?! Well, it's not, but I've already lost a few of the pounds I gained and I know I can get back in the swing of things beginning Sunday morning, as I've been within range pretty much this whole week. And my garbage can just received the last of the cookies so I think I should be down to goal within a week or so. That's my hope anyway.

Good morning!
I'm about to pull my hair out right now, but looking forward to boot camp and strength training tonight. Ran 4 miles this morning, which helped clear the cobwebs, but the stuff tonight will certainly help get my stress level back to normal.
I also learned the benefit of a low sodium diet. After a week and a half of high sodium foods between all the food at my parents' house, a couple of indulgences when I got home and New Year's, I went back to my normal low sodium routine (1000-1500mg/day vs. an average of 3500mg/day, which I was doing for that week and a half). HUGE difference as I saw myself losing 3.4 pounds in two days, and I'm going to assume that most of that is retained water bidding me farewell. So I'm now 7 pounds away from that healthy BMI number. I figured I might as well see how I feel there...
Alright, time to get back to work. Have a great Friday, everyone!
I'm still above my "uh-oh" weight, but coming down. I really hope I'm not out of the maintenance challenge...two more days for my body to regulate itself. Well within range on food yesterday and got in a little walk, so I'm confident that things will right themselves soon.

Holiday weight is starting to come off. I'm still not feeling good about me but I'm going to keep dressing up and playing at being happy. Eventually it will work - right?

Good Morning Team
I had an uh-oh last night. Not only did I skip my workout, but I made pasta with cajun cream sauce and ate almost half the pot!
Surprisingly, I'm in a great mood today despite yesterday's mess-ups. I've got a plan to get close to reaching my fitness minutes goal for the week. Tonight I'll do the skipped workout from yesterday, but extend the cardio by 30 minutes. Then tomorrow I'll do a short run and long yoga session and maybe pepper in some ST for good measure. I should be able to get at least a couple hundred January minutes before week 1 is over!

Morning all,
Took a PTO day since I am still in the middle of flare-up of my back which then affects my hip and leg.

I cooked a chicken today, eat some hot for lunch as well as have some cold for snacks , I am ok on main meals healthy eating . I fall down a bit on snack meals. I do not eat bread which makes it more of a problem , I eat a low fat healthy diet but bread does seem to upset my system so I try ovoid it. I m child minding today so am out of step generally , Happy Friday. Irene

Good Morning!
I have a Dr. appt. today plus I need to run a few errands. Not sure if I'll work out today or make it a rest day. Haven't had one of those since Christmas Day.
I start tracking my food and then if I have something that I can't figure out the calories, I quit. I get really tired of feeling like I should only eat foods that I am able to easily track. I'm feeling like it's becoming an obsession. I may stop for a bit and see what happens.
Have a great Friday!

Good morning!
Weight is really down this morning. Funny. I don't feel like I'm really doing anything special. My 5 am boot camp class got canceled. Since I'm playing stay at home mom today, I have the kids up and am going to the 8:30 class. They can play in the playroom while I exercise.
Now that the holidays are over, we are looking at interest in a cooking game. Check it out...

Check in is a bit slow today, I normally use the email of a new thread as a reminder to check in. I'm enjoying checking in more regularly too.
After picking my exercise back up again I am finding I am feeling extremely hungry today. I've been tracking food again for a couple of days but I keep thinking about not tracking for Saturday so I don't have to worry about finding info for unusual foods. (something I always did when tracking) Not sure if I'm going to do this or not, either way as long as I track for the other 6 days and don't veer too far off track I know I can still lose this week.
Yesterday was the first day in nearly a month that ALL my nutrients (and calories) were within range. Yea! Now off to the gym.
Maree - I wouldn't say boring, just stable. Your day sounds wonderful to me. Enjoy!

Surprised no one has checked in yet! Good morning,. Weight is back down to pre-holiday goal! That makes me happy and encourages me to do the daily weigh in.
Great work out this morning and looking forward to seeing daughter and granddaughter this weekend. I may get a massage on the sore right shoulder by a master therapist. And we're planning to visit a new church. Exciting for me (guess I'm kinda boring).
Hope all have a great day!!
