Finally lost the last lb I put on at Christmas. I had a goal to get them off before Jan. 1. I did not want to start the year off with having to lose those lbs. Most of the holiday decor. is down and put away. We'll finish up today. It's nice to get rid of the clutter.
It's been a good day with a renewed positive attitude! I figured out that only I can see things in a happy light or keep dwelling on things that I cannot change. I figured pity party once a year is ok, too!
I ate within range and also worked out. I cleaned the oven and did laundry. Not too exciting, but I feel better when things are clean.
Amanda79, I would have joined you with that bottle of Cuervo. I can't remember the last time I drank, but Tequila is my favorite and margaritas are the bomb!
I had a run in with a bottle of Cuervo Friday night. I could barely get off of the couch all day yesterday. How embarrassing. I don't remember the last time I drank so much, but I know I won't again for a very long time.
Have my dinners for the week planned. Need to make a fitness plan as well.

Good morning (well, for another half an hour...)!
I had a bit of a late start to the morning, so I missed church after my nearly 8 mile run. It was such a cold start to the morning, but I got out in the 28 degree sunshine and got my first outdoor run done (other than the 5k race I did at the beginning of December) in 4 weeks. It felt good to be running outdoors again, and I ended up doing 25 floors, according to my fitbit! I will definitely be back to running outdoors, now that my knee is pretty much healed and is a very small scab now.
I'm going to grab some lunch, then head to a few stores to see if I can find a last-minute dress for New Year's Eve. I'm going to a party at a friend's house, so that should be fun. Then it's off to do a little strength training, laundry, then early bedtime, since I want to make it to boot camp tomorrow morning at 5:15. Oh, it feels GREAT to get back to my old routine!
Kellie, I'm so sorry that you had a blow-up. My family had one last Thanksgiving that was quite nasty, so I know how it goes. Fortunately, we were able to put it behind us, and had a great Christmas celebration. I do hope that your situation resolves itself like mine did!

Stardust, I had the opposite experience! Up over a pound and a half. What did I eat yesterday? Lead balloons? Clearly more sodium than I needed. Today is a second family Christmas and football watching party (Go Seahawks!). My husband is going to the game with one of his brothers and a nephew, so I'll go to the gathering by myself and he'll go straight there after the game. I think it's going to be an untrackable day, but I'm starting to line things up for a good start to the new year.
A little more above goal, but still within range :) Still consuming too many sweets and too much sodium. Had a blast yesterday playing in the snow! Only my youngest joined us in the fun, but it was still great. Not sure what's on the agenda today. Only a few more days left before I get back to my normal schedule. Looking forward to dinner out with my BF and my best GF and her husband tomorrow night. We have a "sparkly" wardrobe theme :)

Love Tortise's blog on having more fun in 2013. Makes me want to put on a Zumba DVD while DH and MIL are out doing grocery shopping (giving me some much needed "me" time).

Boy am I ever getting tired of the scale going up and down 2.5 lbs on a daily basis. Started back with 15 minutes of exercise to get a streak going.

Watching my salt intake and drinking about 15 cups of water yesterday must've done something, because my weight's 2 lbs lower today than it's been for the preceding 3 days -- phew!

good morning! cold is still here, but breathing a bit better, and coughing a bit less. woke up to an empty house for the first time in weeks. and today is my baby's birthday - she is 27.
got on the scale this morning and it was almost scary - just 100.2. that *is* getting too low. just not that much of an appetite with the cold, we had soup for lunch and dinner yesterday, and though i did indulge in pistachio nuts, it doesn't seem to have made a dent. i don't want this to go any lower...
no real energy, but we did manage to get in a 3 mile walk yesterday. will probably try for the same today. have a good one!

Good Morning! I am beginning to edge back into a SP lifestyle. Still not tracking but weight is constant. Stress is under control although DH and I are throwing our first big party in many many years on the 6th. I do get stressed when I entertain more than the immediate family. Good morning! Sorry to hear about family blowup Kellie--doesn't fit our Christmas expectation of "peace on earth", does it? Heading to church this morning, then a long walk with my workout buddy girlfriend. The sun is supposed to shine today, and believe me, I need it!! High is only gonna be 34 degrees, but I can stand it if there's sunshine.
I finally gritted my teeth and got on the scale--only about a pound or so up for Christmas indulgences--I guess I still have this fear of seeing a 10 or 20 lb weight gain--crazy fears us "losers" have in our heads, aren't they? Anyway, this is manageable and will be back down in a few days.

I have had a rough time since Christmas with the family. HUGE family blowup. Reading everyone's posts REALLY helped get me through.
