First Check In EVER! I must confess that ever since I hit my goal, Iíve been slacking. While Iím staying in my range (185-190), itís still very upsetting and quite disturbing that my eating has changed. My clothes still fit fine, but I donít feel like my skinny self anymore. Iíve been so exhausted and just simply havenít made time for exercise. Itís almost as if the past year and 8 months havenít taught me anything. Iím so ashamed of myself. I have been keeping up with my clean up eating during the day, but at night time (my problem time) itís an entirely different story. Chips, chocolate cake, pumpkin bread with butterÖyou name it, Iím scarfing it down. I weighed in at 188 (down a lb from yesterday), but I canít imagine tomorrowís weigh in is going to be any better. Iíd love to see 185 at least once more before I go to NJ for the holiday. Iím determined to stay positive though.

Well my plan was to get up at 5 to workout since I had a dr's appt at 8:30. Well I wanted to sleep some more. So I wore my workout clothes to the appt to keep my mind on exercise. So after going back and forth on what time I should workout I decided as soon as possible. So I picked 9:30. I got my workout in. Then I planned to relax until I have to pick up Jr from school at 4. Dh calls at 10:30 to see if I could bring him a set of knives to cut the turkey for his job's Christmas luncheon. I said sure. On the way home I got hungry. I did have some cashews in my purse for emergencies. But I kept thinking about fast food. So I planned in my head what I can make at home that's good and healthy. So I drove straight home and made my lunch. If I would of stopped at a restaurant I would of ate the cashews to hold me over while my order was being prepared.

The Lord forced me to walk today. I haven't been able to walk hardly at all. Well, when I returned from the doc yesterday I found a note on my door saying they were going to work on the street for 3 days and not to park there.
Someone loaned me a walker and I took my car down the street, then walked back. Then the house cleaner came and the water had been turned off but came on soon. I walk to my car and go out to eat, come home and walk back. More walking than I have done for a longggggg time.
So I am walking. LOL

Late check-in today. One of my coworkers is having a BAD day. He showed up here at 6:30am to get an early start, and his key broke off in the front door! It wasn't until 11am that we finally had someone come pull his key from the lock. How bout that? 5 1/2 hours just get a locksmith to show up.
I still haven't gotten all my presents yet!!!!! I have no idea what my 7-year-old nephew wants, and I've still got to get my BF the other half of his presents. Males are SO hard to buy for!
Jane, your intolerance for interrupters is hilarious! It's one of my pet peeves as well.

CATMAGNET, if you haven't tried anything like kickboxing before, stick with it for a few classes before you make you mind up, I think it took me about a month of classes (I do Tang Soo Do) before I began to feel less self conscious!

Just when I'm about to resign myself to high-calorie days, I have a day like yesterday, when it took two Chef Meg Cranberry-Almond cookies before bed to bring me up to the bottom of my calorie range.

Weight up just a smidge this morning. Still don't feel the best, but I'm at work. I'm kind of looking forward to the incoming snow and the snow day that will likely result for tomorrow:) My work colleague is sick today now. Hope I'm feeling better by Christmas:)

All is well here on the west coast this morning. It's a slushy mess though with a winter storm that passed through and now is turning to rain.
I feel for all of you who are feeling overwhelmed with Christmas and I hope you can find little pockets of time just for "you"..

Did better foodwise yesterday and even got in a little walk. Bed earlier too. I don't stress much about Christmas, it just happens! I've got one gift that should be delivered on Friday and one that will come when it comes, but otherwise it's all done but the wrapping. I have tomorrow off to have brunch with my Mom and a friend. I hope the weather doesn't spoil that. We got just enough snow to show on the cars and make it a sloppy mess. Mom and her friend are both in their late 80s (Mom turns 90 next month) and they don't take chances going out if it's slippery. Have a great day!

Since I last checked in, things are pretty much the same. But I have this huge feeling that 2013 is going to bring good things. I can't explain it. I've pretty much fallen off the wagon completely, I haven't coped well with the financial stresses but I've learned a lot and I feel like I have the ability to sort out the financial problems. It's really amazed me how much other aspect of my life can affect my eating habits and I can see many areas that I can work on in 2013. I am not waiting til after Christmas to get back on the wagon, I am doing what I can when I can.
I am looking forward to my last martial arts training session this year which is tonight, I wish we didn't have to have time off!
I must confess that I have written this post before I have read other peoples, I will read the thread when the baby is sleeping, Hope everyone is having a good week,

I'm definitely back and ready to rock and roll. I'm almost done dealing with the auditor from hell, I'm back down to 162 pounds, and my food is good. Did a bunch of strength training and a little time on the exercise bike this morning, and will be doing some more cardio and planning to try a kickboxing class tonight.
I also have a date with a different guy on Friday afternoon, before I leave for my trip on Saturday morning. We're planning on meeting for a visit to one of the local art museums, which should be fun. He's never been to this particular museum, so I'm excited to see what his perspective is going to be. He interrupted me a bit when we talked on the phone last night, but I'll see if that was just nerves/excitement or just how he is. If that's how he is, it will probably also be our last date as well, so we'll see.
So I'm hanging in there...tomorrow at 4:30 can't come soon enough! At that time, I'm on vacation for a week and a half! WHEEEEE!
Reading through everyone's posts, I can't help but wonder if the men in our lives are stressing over all the things they have to get done for the holidays. :/
I was coping really well, but yesterday I cursed and screamed at a telemarketer and burst into tears this morning when DH got on to me for forgetting to do something. Both of these things are very rare for me. My plate was full already and the added holiday responsibilities are getting overwhelming. And I'm having trouble getting any support from DH. So frustrating.
At least I'm staying consistent with food and exercise. I really don't want to tackle everything while feeling guilty for not taking care of myself. Everyone have a great day.

Morning all! Having fun with my 12 Days of Christmas challenge, but I did learn that doing yoga before bed wakes one up! Oh well.
I'm going to succeed because I'm crazy enough to think I can!

Good morning. I'm whittling my list too as the day gets closer and time gets shorter. Today is a push day though as I have a list of things to get done before we head out in our car to pick up our son at college. My exercise slipped last couple of days so it's my priority today. Gotta get it in!

Good morning. I'm starting to feel that I just won't be able to get everything done that I would like to do before Christmas, so I too am fighting the stress response. A lot of deep breaths and a realistic perspective on what is important will get me through. My nutrition tracking goes well for breakfast and lunch but I don't seem to be able to sit down after dinner and get it entered; I agree the key seems to be gaining the ability to have that tracking in your head and watching what the scale does to confirm that you've learned what your body needs to maintain.
Happy Wednesday maintainers!

good morning - the day before yesterday was a bit overwhelming, and though i had minimized my presence on SP, my answer was not food, which was the upside. we've been making plans to spend the rest of the winter on molokai, and everything finally fell into place. and then my oldest decided... well, let's just say it was all stressful, but everyone is coming for christmas this weekend and now i will just look forward to it, and not stress about it.
meanwhile, weight is being surprisingly stable and... low! i am taking a temporary holiday from tracking food, but will keep weighing. as long as weight is good i will accept this as having "learned" what and how to eat. exercise is solid - still getting the 5 miles minimum daily, and the fitbit is showing more like 7. ST is still a struggle, but too much going on so i will let up on that for a while.
have a great day!
